Chapter 106: Attending The Party

The Kumaians' idea of a party was nothing like the parties of Kael's own tribe land. In Canku, the parties were always loud and over the top but here in Kumai they seemed far more understated.

There was music playing somewhere in the distance, though Kael could not determine where the instruments were. And the lush grassy shrubs had been adorned with shining lanterns. If you looked towards the lakes, you could see the lanterns' shimmering reflections on the water's surface, only enhancing the beauty of the jungle.

Kael was sat with Osamu and Gimu. The two older Ren were excitably talking about the day's events, but Kael wasn't paying them the slightest bit of attention.

He should have gone to his bed as soon as the Kumari had dismissed him. Tomorrow would be a long day and he should get a good, long rest to prepare for it. Except he hadn't wanted to.
