Chapter 109: Too Weak. Too Kind.

The castle was silent, its inhabitants asleep as he crept through the deserted corridors. He needed to be more careful. After the other night, they would no doubt be expecting another attack. That is, unless they suspected Hisoka.

Ji always said that Hisoka was too weak, too kind, Prince Oliver thought to himself arrogantly.

They hadn't for one moment believed he'd follow through with the order to kill the heir. That's why Oliver had been sent after them.

Hisoka had had countless opportunities to strike and each time he'd let it slip through his fingers. Oliver had seen it all, watching from a distance. He'd infiltrated the castle almost as soon as Hisoka and the Chief Advisor arrived in Shiro.

He was surprised he'd stayed hidden for as long as he had. The last few days, he'd had to remove himself to the Forest of Elivade, convinced that the protectors would be searching the castle and its grounds for the attacker.
