Chapter 40: The Cankurian Ball

Trying to distract him, Bae asked, "so what are we going to do with the rest of the day?"

"How can you even think about that when there's a baby?" Armel asked, his face a mixture of horror and excitement.

"Er," Bae was unsure how to respond.

Fortunately, Eloise came to her rescue. "Well, there's not exactly a baby right now, is there? You've got quite a bit of time before you have to worry about the child."

"Let's go for a walk," Bae suggested.

"That sounds like a lovely idea," Eloise encouraged.

Bae climbed to her feet, the rest of the table following suit. She took Armel's hand, pulling him further down the beach towards the water's edge. The others following a little behind them. Bae was unsure what to say to try and calm her mate's nerves.

‘You're finding this funny, aren't you?' Armel growled.
