Landon's POV:
Last night she fell asleep sat in my lap as we drove around the city. I just sat there holding her for the longest time until I realised that I was wasting Henry's time. Lowering the privacy screen, I asked him to take us home.
I carried her into my apartment and sent her sister a text from her phone. I didn't want her to worry, and I didn't want her not to like me. I'd told Henry that I was going to take the day off tomorrow. If he had been surprised, he didn't comment.
I held her in my arms as I slept for the first time in more than forty-eight hours. Everything was right with the world again because she was back in my arms.
And now, it's Monday morning, and I've had perhaps the best nights' sleep of my life, and I'm just lying in bed, staring at her, with a goofy grin on my face. I pull her closer.
"Good morning, love."
"Morning." She's happy this morning, laughing with me. This might be perfect. "What time have you got to leave?"
