"I've been meaning to ask you what you are going to do about your father's company."
She's asking me a question, I wouldn't answer for anyone else. Even my family wouldn't get the full answer if they ask, yet I want her to know.
"I'm going to take it over," I shrug, "and ask my brother to manage it for the time being and then when my father dies, I'll give it to Ayden as a gift."
"That's a nice thing to do."
She's smiling at me. I can feel it, even as I look at the road. She places her hand on my thigh. She sees me different to how I am. She sees someone better.
"It's the only thing to do," I say, taking her hand in my own and bringing it to my lips to kiss. "He's my brother, and he's my father's son, even if my father's forgotten."
She nods.
"I like your brother. He's sweet."
"He's amazing," I smile happily, "cheeky pain in the arse... and he has the worst timing, but he's pretty amazing as far as brothers go."
