Chapter 308: Leaving Hospital

Jarrod's POV:

I barely leave Tallulah's side over the next few days. She's tried to send me away several times, telling me to go to work. But there's no way in hell I'll leave her alone.

Even knowing Roderick is in jail, I'm no less anxious about her safety.

When Tallulah is discharged from the hospital, she is more than ready to escape its confines. Nathan had offered to take the day off work to help her get home, but Tallulah had refused. Hell, if she had her way, I wouldn't be here either. She'd be getting the bus or a train back to our flat.

"Ready to go, Tallulah?" the doctor says, entering the room.

"So ready!"

"We just need to run through a few things."

Tallulah is nodding her head, eager to agree to anything, if it means she can get out of here.

"You'll need to get checked over by your GP next week," the doctor says. "We're also going to refer you to a head injury clinic for some follow-up appointments with a neurologist."

"Okay," Tallulah replies.
