The revelation stunned Jain. The man had just confessed to wilfully killing and concealing the husband and wife. He was remorseless. Did he think his cooked-up story about assisted suicide was going to do him any good? The bastard murdered them both and dumped them. His stupid story was not going to help him. Manos summarised what they had been told, trying to keep the incredulity out of her voice, and let Winter confirm that everything he had said was correct. Shaking his head, Jain turned to his partner and asked her if she had any questions. She shook her head. He looked over at the solicitor, who was furiously scribbling in her legal pad, but made no attempt to speak.
