"I need to have a look at the site and see what materials we've got before I start designing. But first," said Hestia, closing her pad with a snap, "lunch!"

Athena rolled her eyes but Prometheus licked his lips and rubbed his hands together.

"All you think about is your belly," she whispered, disappointed that they weren't going to the winter camp straight away.

Prometheus stared back at her in round-eyed innocence. "What else is there to think about?"

Athena punched him on the shoulder.

Hestia thought the top of the hill was the most suitable spot. It was fairly flat and there was mainly low scrub rather than the thick forests of the plain below. "We could have this clear in no time," she said, "and there's plenty of loose rock; maybe enough to build the whole house without having to quarry any."

Just as well, thought Athena, God knows how they'd go about blowing up the rocks.
