Chapter 106

Yuta's first letter was to the senior Rev. Mifune, repeating what the Ministry clerk had said to him, and copying carefully the list of possible supervising shrines the clerk had given him. Yuta suggested that Rev. Mifune consider paying calls on the most likely candidates to establish good will. That seemed likely to produce a better result than simply waiting to see what might happen. Since the Ministry had already noticed the little shrine and it was already partially funded through semi-official donations, Yuta thought it unlikely they'd slip by unnoticed.

His second letter was to Azuki. In it, he told her what the tailor had said, and to expect a letter from him.
