Chapter 35: Autumn day, part 3

Panic calls for emergency help were dialed on cell phones.Some parents ran to help, while others stood motionless, frozen at the sight of what just happened; their children crying not quite grasping the magnitude of what they witnessed.

At the football field, the few parents and friends that had managed to survive, climbed out from the wreckage, bleeding, injured, many covered in blood that wasn't their own.Many lay on the ground, calling out for help, calling out in pain, in shock, reaching for an arm or leg that was no longer attached, whether it was theirs or not.The heat from the disaster grew and many bodies had fused together.Flesh, luggage, heaps of twisted metal and bodies, both in navy-blue and orange, littered the field.
