Chapter 34: Second Sun

I was thinking I would be done with Galman, and the first thing I'd do would be to phone the police and ask them to transfer me to NASA. I didn't even know who the person to call would be. But it was starting to rain and droplets were hitting me hard and fast, which felt like a good excuse to buy time and not phone in the rain. I looked up and heavy clouds hastened from the east and pulled a dark blanket over the sky. Along with the blanket came rumblings, at first indistinct then louder and more booming. A flock of storks or wild geese (couldn't make them out properly) cackled strong enough to cover the thunder and the wind.
