Grayson couldn’t shake the feeling that Marcus was responsible for Dima’s and Ralph’s murders, but he had no proof. He couldn’t help but think that there had to be something he was missing. No one committed the perfect murder, let alone two. Of course, Piers had to have been involved in some way, too. Even though Piers was in Switzerland, there had to be a connection.
Grayson already knew that Piers had made a call to Ralph the day before Dima’s murder... a fact that got overlooked when he gave it to Fletcher. The more he thought about it, the more Grayson wondered if he could trust him. It seemed that the more he relied on him, the more he wondered if Chief Fletcher was involved, too.
But that would be ludicrous.
