comforting presence

╰┈➤ ❝comforting presence❞

Death, the place or being everyone fears at least once in their lives. It's feared by a lot of people, but there's no escape from it. Everyone and everything dies in the end and there is nothing we can do about it. Humans are mortals, they won't live forever like vampires or other immortal beings from fantasy books. This is reality, and reality isn't as pretty as it might sound.

Wooyoung definitely used to fear death, with his whole being. But at some point he stopped caring, he stopped worrying about small things, and bigger things, like death for example. He was no longer afraid of the state which slowly swallowed every human being's soul into nothingness. He was no longer afraid of that, and that made his life much more bearable.

Wooyoung opened one of his eyes, then the other one, blinking because of the intense sunlight that touched his face because of the open window next to him. He was back at the little house, in the same bed he found himself yesterday. It intrigued him, because he knew someone had helped him, but he only remembered bits and pieces from the day before.

He attempted to sit up, but the horrible pain in his shoulder told him not to move a muscle. His little yell was probably heard by everyone that was in the house, actually, no one because there was no one in the house besides him. But Wooyoung guessed wrong because he heard the door open, a frantic looking San running to his side and checking his temperature.

"How are you feeling?" San said quietly, purple eyes finding Wooyoung's brown ones. "You weren't in a good condition yesterday." He looked at his hands, which made Wooyoung chuckle.

"Well, my shoulder hurts like hell, but for some reason, it doesn't hurt like yesterday." Wooyoung smiled, grabbing San't chin and making him look at Wooyoung again. "Was it you who saved me, again?"

San slowly nodded, looking at Wooyoung and admiring his features in peace. Wooyoung was really beautiful, almost making San blush as he looked at every little detail on his face, noticing the small mole under his eye, his sleepy eyes and his soft looking lips.

Wooyoung on the other hand was mesmerized by San's looks, every little detail making him more interesting. He was handsome, but there was this interesting but mysterious aura around him that Wooyoung couldn't quite grasp on.

His purple eyes were beautiful, they held so much emotion that it made Wooyoung want to cry again for some reason. When he looked closer, they weren't just purple, a little bit of blue and green embedded into them as well, making Wooyoung even more interested.

San's hair was a different story, all the different hues of purple and black spattered on his hair made it look like a rainbow in his eyes. It was beautifully gorgeous and Wooyoung had to admit he really wanted hair like that.

San's facial features were gorgeous as well, his sharp nose being carved like a god's, his jawline decorating him perfectly, so sharp that it could probably cut something if he tried. His skin being like milk, pure and pale, which made the whole picture even more beautiful.

Wooyoung didn't even notice he had been staring at San for the past 10 minutes, the other coughing and disturbing Wooyoung's thoughts with a hand that was placed on his smaller one. A blush crept to his cheeks, making its way to his ears as well. He could hear the melodic laugh erupt from San, a huff leaving his own mouth as he pouted and looked away in embarrassment.

"I was just... admiring your looks..." He mumbled the last part, San releasing another laugh and licking his lips as he smiled widely at Wooyoung. "Don't... get the wrong idea." He blushed harder, the pink changing into a deep red blush instead.

"I know." San smiled, watching as Wooyoung kept looking at the window, still blushing like a madman because of a certain someone that was sitting next to him. Wooyoung thought San's laugh was beautiful, the melodic laugh of his satisfying his ears. He could listen to him laugh and talk for years on end.

"By the way.." Wooyoung trailed for the sentence. "Do I have to repay you?" He asked warily, gaining a shocked look from San, immediately shaking his head as a no. "Okay, but, I'm really grateful that you saved me yesterday... I can't even repay you so-"

San smiled as he watched Wooyoung trying to form complete sentences, a little chuckle escaping his lips as well. He placed another hand on Wooyoung's smaller one. "Hey, you don't need to repay me. I saved you because I wanted to, not because you asked me to, okay?" He smiled, moving his thumb on Wooyoung's hand to calm him down a little.

Wooyoung looked at San in thought, a tear prickling in his eye, finally falling down his cheek. San was able to wipe it away before another one came, but even though he tried wiping every tear away, more kept coming. Wooyoung started crying, San immediately engulfing him in a hug with careful movements.

"It's going to be okay." San whispered next to Wooyoung's ear. "You're okay now." He whispered again. Wooyoung kept sobbing, small hums leaving his mouth as he tried responding to San's statements. For some reason, he felt as if he could trust San with his whole life. It was as if he had known him for years.

At first, San seemed like a really closeted person, not talking much and always nodding instead of talking and answering Wooyoung, but now he was talking to him. He was probably talking more than Wooyoung right now, and Wooyoung talked a lot. He felt like he had accomplished something in his life, getting San to talk to him was more than enough for him right now.
