hopelessness

╰┈➤ ❝hopelessness❞

Wooyoung looked at the wicked man in front of him, his body shaking uncontrollably under his intimidating stare. "What do you...mean by that?" He asked with a small voice, the man releasing a hoarse laugh.

"Maybe I'll make you my slave." He smirked, pulling Wooyoung up by his collar and dragging him out of the bedroom, throwing him outside and locking the front door so no one can step inside anymore. "Oh yeah, I'll definitely make you my slave." He licked his lips, grabbing a bunch of Wooyoung's hair and pulling him up from the ground.

"Y- your slave?" Wooyoung coughed, gritting his teeth together because of the pain. "How are you going to do that?" He spat, glaring at the man in front of him who only huffed at him.

"Look at you being so brave." The man laughed. Wooyoung tried to wiggle his way out of the man's grip, but with no luck in succeeding. The man didn't give him a chance to escape. "Turn around." He commanded, the harsh words hitting Wooyoung's ears, reminding him of his childhood and his parents. "Now!" He yelled.

"Wh-" Wooyoung started but wasn't able to finish because the man forcingly turned him around ripping the the back of his shirt open with force. "W- why did you do that?" He asked with a shaky voice. But then he remembered the pain in his lower back. Why would this man even know about that?

"Fucking shit, that asshole got here first." The man mumbled, touching Wooyoung's lower back with his cold fingers, moving them around his back. But a slap on Wooyoung's back gained his immediate attention. It hurt, yes, but when that weird man started mumbling some ancient words to himself Wooyoung felt even more scared than before.

What the hell was he doing with his back?

A massage???

Wooyoung tried moving, but the other's hand was so strongly attached to his back that he couldn't. It felt like it was glued to his back with super glue or something stronger, even. Once again, he tried getting out of the other's grasp but with failure.

"Stay the fuck put." The man growled.

Wooyoung widened his eyes, stopping his wiggling and freezing in one place. "W- what exactly are you doing? It hurts!" He yelled. "It feels like you're ripping my skin off!"

"I don't fucking care if it hurts or not!" The man yelled. "This spell's hard as fuck so stay quiet will ya?" He huffed, clicking his tongue and resuming his weird mumbling.

Well, now Wooyoung had had enough of this man, forcingly pushing him away from him, grimacing at the intense pain he got as the other detached his hand from Wooyoung's back. "Fuck that hurts!" He yelled with a cry, running away from the man, hiding behind some trees to catch his breath. "Ow, ow ow ow." He whined, touching his back to get a clearer picture of what was happening with his lower back.

"Get the fuck back you idiot!" The man yelled, running after Wooyoung. "I wasn't done with you!"

Wooyoung gasped, running further away from the man and hiding behind some thick bushes he saw in the distance. It was definitely not the best hiding spot, considering it was very close to the river and there weren't a lot of trees nearby. Where the hell was San when he needed him the most? He was supposed to be back at least 5 hours ago!

He clasped his hand on his mouth, listening to the frantic yells of the unknown man who was looking for him in the dark forest. He tried calming down by listening to the trees and the water, absolutely loving the way the forest smelled since it was so close to the river. He also saw a lot of flowers when he ran. Maybe they'll wither away soon because winter is coming. It was pretty cold this time of year.

Wooyoung couldn't keep his small whimpers, back hurting a lot and his shoulder even more. "The wound must've reopened." He cursed under his breath, carefully touching his shoulder to check if it was somewhat okay. It wasn't. It was bleeding, a lot, again.

And now he was hearing footsteps again. That fucker was following Wooyoung again and found him. They got louder and eventually stopped behind Wooyoung. A hand grabbed his shoulder and made him flinch away from the man. He was afraid and wanted to get away from him as fast as possible. It was clearly obvious the man had nothing good in mind for Wooyoung.

Taking a step back, he accidentally stepped on something, probably a stick and broke it in half. "I knew it was you." The man laughed, grabbing Wooyoung's hand, gaining a gasp from him. "Come here, I won't kill you." He chuckled, pulling Wooyoung closer to him, but failing because the other had wiggled his way out of the man's grasp.

Was Wooyoung's only option to jump in the river? Wouldn't that be a bit too much? Would he even survive that? He didn't have much time to think because the man approached him again, causing Wooyoung to take a few steps back towards the edge of the river. "Don't, please!" Wooyoung begged. "Don't touch me!"

The man just laughed, looking at Wooyoung's pathetic figure as small tears started to fall from his pretty eyes. "You think I'd let you go after everything I went through to find you? Are you perhaps stupid or something?" He mocked.

Wooyoung closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before opening his mouth. "Do you like cold water?" He smirked, taking another step towards the river, keeping his eyes on the man that was still getting closer to him. "Do you perhaps like to swim?"

The man raised a questioning eyebrow before realizing what Wooyoung had meant. A gasp left his lips, but before he had the chance to catch Wooyoung, the boy had already jumped towards the cold river, the water engulfing his body. "Fuck!" He yelled, running to the edge of the river and frantically looking for Wooyoung's body in the water. "Where the hell is he??"

──── ∗ ⋅◈⋅ ∗ ────

Wooyoung felt the water around him getting colder and colder as he sunk deeper into the river. The familiar feeling of drowning once again filling his mind with thoughts. His vision was already getting blurry and he panicked. He wasn't supposed to drown, was he? His plan was just to get away from that maniac of a guy, not drown himself.

But the stream was, once again, too much for his body to handle, the stream shaking his body in every direction possible, making it hard for Wooyoung to swim towards the surface of the water. Small bubbles left his mouth as he gasped for air, which was a mistake.

As soon as he gasped, water started to fill his mouth, then it made its way to his windpipe and lungs, filling him with it against his will. He wasn't a fish, he didn't have gills he could use to breathe underwater, he was a human.

Once again, Wooyoung started to lose consciousness, darkness engulfing his vision and making him feel lightheaded. However, the familiar feeling of water vibrating got his attention away from the darkening surroundings. As a hand grabbed around his wrist, he could feel the pressure around him shrink as he was dragged to the surface once again.
