I'm sorry

╰┈➤ ❝I'm sorry❞

After Wooyoung had walked out of the bedroom, San had froze. The younger was clearly upset, but should he go after him, or should he go with Yeosang to meet Seonghwa? His brain was thinking of a solution, but his heart almost yelled at him to run after Wooyoung. He wanted to engulf the younger in a warm hug and reassure him that Yeosang wasn't angry at him at all, but how would he know this?

What if Yeosang was angry at Wooyoung?

He really wanted everyone to get along, but getting these two to work would be a problem in the future and a pain in the ass, mostly because Yeosang wasn't showing any signs of cooperation. He also didn't want Wooyoung to be so miserable around Yeosang. Because San knew. He knew Wooyoung was trying so hard to keep his composure around the blonde boy, and it broke his heart into small pieces.

In the end, he followed his heart and ran after Wooyoung in hoped of catching him before he'd do something he'd regret after. He gave Hongjoong a small smile and a warning look at Yeosang who just ignored it.

When Wooyoung got out of the room, his heart had started beating extremely fast, as if he couldn't even breath anymore. That cold, emotionless look of Yeosang gave him goosebumps everywhere. It was as if Yeosang had turned to a different person, he had no idea where his friend was anymore. He had no idea if those memories of their childhood were even there anymore.

That one look made Wooyoung even think about his horrible childhood at home. It made him think of his awful parents, especially his own mother who didn't care a bit about him. All those beatings he had to endure every single day. Every harsh word that was said about him. Everything.

Yeosang was no longer the friend he once had, that was now clear.

Should he just give up on him?

A small tear made its way down his cheek, followed by a dozen more. His legs took him somewhere quiet on the deck. He also noticed they had departed already and water was all he saw around him. The sky was as clear as his tears and he wished he'd see the sky on a better mood. But of course he had to see something this beautiful when he was heartbroken himself.

He leaned against the edge, closing his eyes and letting his tears run down his now red cheeks. He felt awful even though he shouldn't. Yeosang wasn't his friend anymore, so why did he feel like he lost a soulmate of many years? Why did it feel like he just go heartbroken by his only friend?

"Wooyoung!" A voice called for him from afar. Wooyoung, however, didn't flinch at all, he didn't move from his spot, because he couldn't hear. "Wooyoung, are you alright?" the voice called again.

The younger couldn't hear anything, his breathing being so uneven. He could only hear his own little whimpers and sniffles. "W- why?" He whimpered, trying to wipe the tears off his face. "W- why am I crying?" He said with a broken voice.

After San had entered the deck, he had immediately noticed Wooyoung who was crouched down on the wooden floor, hands on his face as if he was breaking down right there. San's eyes widened and he basically sprinted to Wooyoung's side as fast as he could, crouching down as well and wrapping his strong arms around the smaller boy.

Wooyoung flinched in San's arms, shaking his head, frantically trying to get away from him. But San didn't let go, he would take any hit until the latter calmed down. So, he only tightened his arms around the younger, resting his head on Wooyoung's shoulder, moving his hands around the other's back in a reassuring manner to calm him down.

Wooyoung didn't really calm down, he cried even harder, but he stopped resisting. San smiled weakly even thought the other couldn't really see it. "You're okay." He whispered, kissing Wooyoung's shoulder to relax him, and maybe himself too. "I'm here, you can cry with me, Wooyoung. Let it all out." He said with a shaky voice.

"San..." Wooyoung sobbed, looking up at him with teary eyes. And after a minute, the tears started flowing again, and they flowed freely now that he wasn't holding them back anymore. They were uncontrollable, just like how Wooyoung felt when he first saw San. It was an emotion he never wanted to experience again.

Wooyoung looked into San's eyes, and then he began crying so hard that his whole body shook. San hummed a sweet melody into his ear, wiping every small tear off Wooyoung's red cheeks, admiring his cute little features.

They sat there for quite some time, hugging each other tightly, forgetting about everything else that was going on around them. San felt something inside him change, and he knew it was because of this moment. He felt like he was being reborn. The world around him seemed to be getting brighter, and more beautiful than ever before.

San took one more deep breath before speaking. "Wooyoung." He whispered, trying to control his voice and let it sound nice and gentle. Wooyoung didn't respond, and San knew he had gotten too deep into his own thoughts again. "Wooyoung?" He tried again.

Wooyoung's eyes were so red, San could almost see blood in them. The other looked down at the floor and closed his eyes, whispering "I'm sorry" to him. Then he started crying again, the tears staining his cute cheeks and falling down his neck.

San was startled, opening his mouth in confusion before closing it again like a fish. "Why are you apologizing, dear?" He asked, raising Wooyoung's chin so he would look at him. "There's nothing to apologize for." He smiled sweetly.

Wooyoung shook his head, putting his hand on his eyes to stop the tears. "I'm sorry..." He said again, his voice barely audible through the sobs that were still breaking out of him. "If I don't apologize to you, you might leave me and never come back again. So, please, don't leave me." He said with a whisper, the tears still flowing from his eyes.

San gently wrapped his arm around Wooyoung's back, pulling him closer to himself. He didn't really understand what Wooyoung had meant, but he guessed it had something to do with his childhood trauma. And it certainly was the most logical explanation.

He looked up at Wooyoung, his eyes showing a sense of understanding and also pity. "Ah no, don't worry." San said gently, placing a small peck on Wooyoung's forehead, gaining a little blush from the said person. "I'm never leaving you, ever." He whispered.

Wooyoung felt an amazing warmth spread through his whole body when he heard those words. Like someone had just confessed their love towards him, that's what it felt like. It made him flustered if anything, a pink blush creeping to his cheeks and ears.

"Really?" Wooyoung asked, looking up at San with a big smile on his face. "I mean, you aren't going to leave me?"

"Wooyoung..." San whispered again, his voice has dropped down in volume and the tone of it was a lot more intimate than before. "I think something is wrong with me." Wooyoung didn't know what San meant at first, but he soon figured it out.

"What do you mean?" Wooyoung asked, his voice a little higher than before. San looked up at Wooyoung, his beautiful eyes being the only thing he could see.

"I think I'm in love with you."
