Imagination

Yep, after emotion it's imagination. Which is odd considering that 'I' comes after 'E' in the alphabet, I didn't even realize it when planing out the lessons.

Back to the point of this lesson, imagination is key to writing a book. If you don't like bizarre things like dogs with unicorn horns, a turtle shell, and the tail of a lion, then that's fine. Your imagination doesn't have to be anything like that. If you want to use things in real life like the Eiffel tower in Paris, France then that's fine.

But if you write about a person who does their job then goes home then does it again then no one will want to read about that. Even if they go out with friends sometimes or eat out sometimes no one will want to read that.

Maybe write about someone with a hard life and secrets, like they just got an eviction notice and are on the edge of being kicked out and their an amateur artist looking to make money that way then they finally get noticed, but they have a hard time making it to the top because there are people who work for the person they got recognized by and they are jealous and set them up for failure. If you're more on the sadistic side, they could try murdering her because they're psychopaths who have succeeded with all their past victims, but this person luckily gets out of it every time.

Don't you think that'd be interesting to write about? And even if you don't, can't you see that to come up with that I needed imagination? Think of something boring and bland like a sock, and transform it into something you'd want to write about. Like it's just one sock and its pair was lost so now it has to travel the world to find his lover/other sock and there are many hardships that come upon him then he's close to giving up then he meets someone who convinces him to keep looking for his pair them he finds her and they live happily ever after.

Well, that's it for today. I hope this was a nice lesson because it literally has two ideas you can alter to your liking and write about. (Don't worry, no one will probably ever find this so it won't be plagiarizing.) See you next Monday, hopefully.
