~Chapter 3~

I woke up feeling extremely energetic. Like I had just gained refreshing strength overnight. I even hummed the song " Tomorrow" in the shower earlier this morning. It took me almost an hour to come up with an outfit. But I settled on a pair of faded jeans and a plain T-shirt. My reaction to today, ought to be dull and cold. Rather I was hopeful and uncertain. The two feelings were in contrast. My appointment was scheduled for noon. Mr. Andrew was the therapist I was going to see. I spoke to his lovely secretary the day I had my nightmare and booked an appointment. It will be finalized and properly scheduled when I get there today. I was extremely grateful that Jojo looked out for me enough to drop the card. So might you be wondering why I decided to go after all? I argued vehemently with my sister about my lifestyle only to change my mind quickly. Truth was, I was surprised, not surprised about how my life was turning how to be. Nope, that wasn't it. Instead, I was surprised that Alex still has so much power over me. That my past was controlling my present in a particular way. This was me raising both of my middle fingers to life, hurt, and most importantly Alex. So I guess this was to kicking @ss.

I smiled to myself as I opened the door to the driver seat and found the fuel tank filled with gas. Jojo bought gas even when she wasn't sure if I'll ever leave my house. I shot a quick text before starting the engine. My phone buzzed indicating I just received a message but I ignored it seeing as I was driving. I absolutely loved my Blue Ford F-150 it was just perfect. Nothing too much. I wasn't keen on getting a car but I'm grateful I listened to Mum when she bugged me about it. It would have been less convenient for me right now.

Getting to Mr. Andrew's office was a piece of cake, I simply followed the address on the business card. Although, I had done research earlier regarding this therapeutical organization as I like to put it.

This was slightly different from what I've heard. So apparently there are 10 therapists in total, Running a therapeutic industry....kinda. They all had separate clients and worked separately but at the end were run by one person. That was slightly interesting..... Yet astonishing. To book an appointment, the normal procedures ensured that I visited in person or called. I wasn't to have a direct encounter with anyone of their therapists, until my session has been properly scheduled. Which made me wonder how Jojo had the business card of Mr. Andrew himself. It shouldn't be possible unless she knew him in person. It confused me because she made no mention of visiting a therapist all along. I furrowed my eyebrows behind the wheels but had my gaze fixed on the road. That question would be answered later, right now I just needed to get there on time. I wasn't feeling nervous yet but I knew I would soon.

The street where the industry... Organization..... Company... Firm? I had no idea what to call it was located was rather serene and quiet. I had expected the building to look very professional because it sounded a lot like a business to me. It was just a story building, the name was painted boldly on the wall in slant italics. I parked my car and switched off the ignition. Pushing the big glass door to the back a little, I walked in. There was a pretty receptionist in the foyer, on the ground floor.

" Good morning" I greeted, to gain her attention.

" Oh Morning. My name is Linda, how may I help you? " She responded with a very bright smile.

" I came to see Mr. Andrew, I have an appointment"

" In that case, take the elevator to the first floor. The last door in the hallway belong to him"

" Thank you" I left afterward, to find him. She pointed the direction towards the elevator.

Opening the door to his office, I was greeted by his secretary. She was the one I had spoken to earlier and recognized me right away. Turns out, I was about 20 minutes early and Mr. Andrew was busy so I had to wait a while. Sitting on one of the chairs, I pulled out my phone and scrolled through to keep myself busy. A message notification popped up on the screen, it was Jojo's reply to the message I sent.

Me: THANKS JOJO, FOR FILLING UP MY CAR WITH GAS

Jojo : OH, NO PROBLEMO. HOLD UP, WHY DID YOU KNOW THERE WAS GAS IN THE CAR?

Me: I TOOK IT OUT FOR A DRIVE.

Jojo : too?

Me: MY THERAPY SESSION

Jojo: FYHDBKEKENEMEL

Me: HUH?

Jojo: IGNORE THAT, I DROPPED MY PHONE FROM THE SHOCK.

Me: DRAMA QUEEN AYE.....?

Jojo: OMIGOSH, ANN YOU TOOK A STEP AND I'M REALLY PROUD OF YOU.

Me: YHYH....

Jojo : THAT MUST HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF EFFORT, FEELING OKAY?

Me: KINDA, MIXED EMOTIONS

Jojo : IT WILL BE FINE K?

Me: YA THINK?

JOJO: I KNOW! ARE YOU THERE RIGHT NOW?

Me: WHERE?

Jojo : AT THE, YOU KNOW.....

Me: YES, I'm WAITING AT THE RECEPTION. I'M A FEW MINUTES EARLY

Jojo : IN THAT CASE, I WILL LEAVE YOU TO GET YOUR EMOTIONS IN PLACE. BYE ANNIE.

Me: SEE YA.

Get my emotions in place?. Perhaps, I should do just that. I inhaled deeply before exhaling. I was starting to feel nervous. What if it's a train wreck? I couldn't help but feel relieved knowing that if therapy with Mr. Andrew doesn't work out I had 9 other options.
