Art's warmth through cold emotions part III [Jacob]

Once upon a time there was a young shepherd who found a wounded young wolf on the middle of a valley.

the Shepherd was known to be a human boy of good heart and good intentions. the shepherd allowed the wolf inside of his home. he fed the wolf. he attended the wolf's wounds with medicine. he treated the wolf with respect.

with some time the wolf was older and healthy. the wolf became attached to the shepherd's family. the shepherd by now was older, but not too old nor wise.

one day the shepherd left like every other day. but when he returned he found his home burning. his loved ones dead sliced to pieces. he found nothing. all that was left was a note from the wolf.

it turns out that the wolf couldn't resist anymore those natural instincts that come from a predator.

the Shepherd mourned his family for twelve moons, and twelve suns. then he left for four cold winters in search of the beast that took everything from him.

eventually the wolf lose his fangs and claws. the wolf rested with a wolf pack, in which he found a female wolf with who he decided to start his own family.

the wolf had forgotten all about his sins by then. Then one cold winter the Shepherd had found the wolf and his little village. the Shepherd was no shepherd no more, he had became a Wolf Hunter. he had skinned alive all kinds of wolves from all ages.

on that vile winter the Wolf learned what is to lose everything by the hands of your past. the Wolf Hunter burned the whole village down. then he skinned alive the Wolf's cubs in front of the wolf. he then skinned the wolf's bride.

Finally after some long hours of suffering the Wolf Hunter took the last fang from the wolf and the last claw. he was done. his job was done.

the Wolf asked to be killed, the wolf told him about his repentance about his past transgressions. the wolf talked about guilt, but he didn't realize something.

the former Shepherd was so consume by rage and hatred that he forgot about his own family and loved ones. even worse, he forgot what the Wolf looked like. to the Wolf Hunter every wolf he slaughter was the one who hurt him. every wolf broke his trust.

the Wolf Hunter was too far gone. he was a shade of his former self. and like that the Wolf realized that there was no rest for neither of them. they both were dead & rotten, but none of them knew it jet.....

---Jean Einarsson.

Jacob is in the hallway of a mansion. he rest on top of a sofa made with wolf-skin. a young skinny man on his late thirties steps in front of him. the man has a wrinkles that made him look older. he has long blond almost white hair. he has deep cold blue eyes.

Sebastian is drinking a soda with ice. he looks around asking for the price of things. it almost looks like he is doing it on purpose to anger the blonde gentleman.

Marcus Fleming is a well known journalist. a man of prestige. a man loved by all. a man from an old and powerful last name. a man with strong roots on the city. and that man is now been treated by gangsters. by killers. by the lowest of the bottom.

it is irrational to think that he is on such a horrible position. he feels rage. there are some other complicated emotions that he is feeling.

"we killed your bastard child and the woman with whom you fornicate on the past."

"what is your point gentlemen?"

"that was a massage to you. if you ever try to fuck with our boss, next time will be your head and the head of every other Fleming on the city."

"do you get the severity of your statement? apes, we own the city."

" not for long. our boss is the new king, the tallest building is his throne. we're the knights and dukes. and of drugs and blood is made his crown."

"your stupidity is admirable."

Sebastian keeps arguing with the journalist. they both look like little children. Sebastian has much more to say.

Jacob calls his boss. he asks for freedom to act base on his judgement. the boss gives him the authority to act however he wants on the mission. Jacob ends the call.

"bad news and good news." said Jacob.

Jacob shoots the journalist on the stomach. the journalist falls on his knees. he starts to pray thinking it is the end. Jacob throws a phone at him. asking him to call an ambulance by himself.

"good news, you will live and we will leave. bad news, you needed a hole on you to understand of the danger that presents turning against our boss wishes."

Jacob and Sebastian leave. they are tired. there is a food truck they want to visit. the night has been long, soon it will be the morning of the next day. there are some doubts here and there. but mostly everything is fine.

Marcus makes some calls. he first calls for an ambulance. while drinking some vodka. Marcus calls his powerful uncles and aunts. he makes a comment about how Daniel is too powerful and dangerous. he needs to be taken out soon.

Marcus makes some more calls to important powerful people. he asked them all for a favor on dealing with Daniel. some are doubtful, but most of them accept the offer. finally Marcus calls his actual lover. he tells her about his day.

someone knocks on the door. Marcus walks towards the door talking with his lover. he opens the door thinking it may be the ambulance.

there is a BANG.

Marcus drops his phone. he is bleeding out unable to properly talk. he looks at his executioner who came with a face and a name, Jose Martinez.

"let yar death be tragico blanquito."

"why?"

Jose Martinez shoots another four times. Marcus Fleming falls on his knees barely breathing as he slowly lose consciousness.

Jose looks at the phone. he says Daniel Grinberg's name aloud. then he leaves. he make it look like it was his boss order. Jose takes his phone out he calls a number.

it is Terry Davis who answers the phone call. he asks Jose if it is done. Jose confirms the death of Marcus Fleming. Jose asks Terry to fulfill his part of the deal. Terry Davis tells him to not worry.

.....

4 Hours Later,

Daniel's Tower.

Jacob is on Daniel's office. the two of them are silent for a long time. then Jacob starts to tell his boss about his job. his day. he talks without showing any emotion about how they killed the mother and son. then he stops talking.

there is not a single time that Daniel doesn't feel shivers whenever he hears Jacob talking about a job. every other killer shows a range of emotion, but not Jacob. he is as robotic and cold as always.

Daniel pays Jacob for the job he took. he then tells Jacob that he is free to go. before Jacob even moves, Daniel stops him to ask him a question. he asks if he truly wants to leave his position as a Hitman.

Jacob tells him that killing was never his passion. he just did it because it was simple. but he has found a passion. he feels human when painting. he feels different. killing is no longer for him. plus at some age he is meant to retire.

Jacob left Daniel's castle. Jacob walks on the cold streets of a city that never welcome him nor accepted him. Jacob walks feeling empty. like if there was something missing.

then out of nowhere Jacob found himself in front of Caroline Green.

they said hello to each other awkwardly. she saw a few stains on his clothing. she assumed he was on a fight. Caroline asks if he wants to go for a coffee somewhere. Jacob takes four minutes to reply.

"what about your paintings? I want to see them."

"yes. why not."

there is something about Caroline's cheerful personality that makes him smile. he can find some peace. Jacob feels welcome by her.

there is nothing romantic in Jacob's heart nor are there any hidden flirty emotions. what Jacob feels is a connection. it can be a family like connection, or just a strong friendship towards someone who feels warm.

Jacob never had a mother or a sister. every time Jacob asked his father about his mom, the old man would come up with an excuse to change the theme of their conversation. at the end Jean took the secret to the grave with him.

there are some people who murmured on the city that Jean may had killed his wife, or that an old enemy took her life. then there is the rumor that she ran away because she either found a better husband, or she was a rich girl who couldn't take responsibility.

Jacob asked his father few times if he ever thought about finding a new wife. Jean will either tell him that he was too old for love, that no one else could ever become close to be his other half, or that he couldn't let a stranger under the same roof as his son.

after many, if not thousands of excuses Jacob understood. that Sir Jean Einarsson was a man of only one woman, there will never be anyone to fill the void his mother left.

going back to the present, Jacob is inside of an old Chinese restaurant. there are some colorful decorations. the tables and chairs are so old, that are starting to look frail.

Jacob looks at Caroline trying to study her body language as she reads the menu. Jacob questions if he thinks of her as a younger sibling.

"I know I promised to show you my paintings, but I was a bit hungry."

"just a 'bit'? your stomach was crafting some ferocious and loud noises."

"please stop, you are socially killing me. please ignore that."

"how could I? it was cute."

"cute? well I was starting to wonder if you lack the means to be flirty, or if you were left-handed when it is about hitting the ball."

"pardon my incapacity to properly verbally express myself. I meant no offense, if I sounded flirtatious, that wasn't my intention. I mostly speak on a literal sense when I make an statement."

"wow, is that an educated way to tell me that I am not your type." said Caroline half joking as she expected him to like her.

"No. to be frankly honest. I am as cold as a corpse. since an early age I knew that I was incapable of sustaining emotions. I often wonder if love is as wonderful as it's depicted."

the two of them ordered something to eat. Caroline was silent thinking deeply about many things related to Jacob. while they wait for their food a thought came to her mind. it wasn't something naughty, maybe a bit vulgar.

Caroline asked Jacob about his sexual life. she asked multiple questions related to the woman with who he sleep around. the reasons why he sleeps around. if he had ever dated a woman who asked him out. she kept asking even more questions.

after some minutes Caroline is finally done with her questions. she awaits for Jacob's answer thinking that he may be a Gigolo, or something alike. their food is finally ready. they grab their food ready to eat. Caroline keeps awaiting for the answer.

"No." whispers Jacob as he eats with delicacy. he looks so elegant as a nobleman as he eats on a robotic way. every movement and every bite are done on certain way that he doesn't even look human. he then looks at Caroline.

"what do you mean with no?"

"it means I haven't taken part on the act known as to fornicate. I do know what it means to have intercourse, but I am not interested on that."

"wait. you're a virgin? really? I mean with that aged rough body?"

"before you misunderstand my words. I am not waiting for the right woman to love me, nor accept me. my lack of emotions isn't related to why I haven't study the kamasutra. I just don't see how human reproduction can be any fun."

they kept talking about different things. they finish eating. and then they went to Caroline's place. so she can show him some of her paintings.

at the end of the conversation Caroline was surprise. somehow Jacob was able to say sex ten more times without using the word sex, nor fuck. while they walk on the road Caroline thinks about different things. Jacob has become an important friend.

Caroline receives a call from a friend. Caroline answers the call. she talks for some long ten minutes about school. Caroline tells Jacob that her friend is visiting. she asks him if he is okay with meeting her best friend.

Jacob is usually careful with meeting new people. jet this time he just nods. there is the possibility that her friend is as nice as Caroline. Jacob feels a bit nervous.

after a long silent walk they are by the front door. the person to open the door is a blonde lady on her late twenties. she had dyed the hair tips of green. she has dark blue eyes and pink lips. she has freckles. she has a friendly smile.

the blonde girl is wearing a black T-shirt with David's Star on the center. she is wearing jeans with holes by the knees. she is wearing black earrings with crosses. and she isn't wearing any bra, it is kind of obvious as her nipples as visible.

the blonde girl introduces herself as Carmen Ford. she isn't capable of trusting on the older muscular man standing next to her naive friend. she suspects that he may want to do or take something from her friend.

"don't even think about it Carmen."

"what ya mean? I didn't say anything, jet."

"don't worry he isn't that type of person. he is a cherry boy."

"wait. what? at that age? are you sure? at that age my dad was already a grandpa."

"yes, he is a nice guy. you'll get it once you met him properly."

.....

"what is Art? if not another form of expression....."

Art is the most intimate and passionate encounter between mortals without been sexual nor about the body.

art is a language, or a visual escapism from the world that some may find. art is to feel your body and soul expose to others. art is making love to your most intimate and private desires as you turned them into a fire.

art can be emotional, it can be psychological, it can be physical, it can take many form or shapes on our hearts. but overlooking how I see it, or how it is meant to be. Art will Always be Art.
