I'm not in a Hurry

"Why can't I be involved in the selection process?"

Hans could not stop himself, after contacting HR he accepted the refusal and they said that this was Jessica's direct order. Hans could not see the administrative data for the new secretary candidate for Jessica.

"Why do I even have to give you an excuse?"

"The person who gets elected will take my place so I think I have the authority to do that."

"Even if you have the right to do so, I forbid you to interfere in this selection process."

Hans wanted to ask again, why? Did that woman start hating him and trying to get a grudge against him? Today Hans felt that Jessica was antipathy to him.

Even though only yesterday Jessica teased him so that Hans would stay. Now, who's so eager to find a replacement?

"I just want you to play fair this time. Let HR do its job. Don't worry too much about it," Jessica advised Hans. "It looks like you lack things to do. How about my flight to Thailand tomorrow?" the woman diverted them immediately.

"I have prepared everything, we will leave tonight."

"We? Why don't you let my other assistants go? It's just a small event, you don't have to put yourself in there."

"Is my presence only for your own needs? Wasn't that all this time I was always by your side whether you needed or didn't need me? Are you planning to throw me away like this?"

"Hey, watch your words, who threw who away?" Jessica asked, her tone getting embarrassed. It was rare for her to accept Hans arguments like this, the man had become even bolder with his words lately. "You don't need to attend, you can use your weekend to take care of marriage matters."

Oh the marriage plan, so this is why. Hans began to understand what the woman was thinking. "Why not? I have to find a good connection there. Who knows, I can find a new boss who will appreciate me more and pay dearly for my good performance then."

Jessica smiled wryly, "Is that how much you want to get a new boss? You even planned it so well. So you're leaving after your wedding?" Jessica concluded.

Hans didn't answer the woman, his expression complicated and unreadable.

"Then postpone my flight tonight, let's leave tomorrow morning. Jessica again diverted their conversation.

"You have to sign an MOU with Central Group tomorrow morning."

"The schedule is not very early, they can wait for me anyway. So why do I have to leave in such a hurry?"

"That's not a good manner. Didn't we agree to maintain professionalism by not changing the schedule to your liking?" Hans offended the woman a bit this time.

Jessica snorted, "You've been demanding too many questions lately but you're even stingy with an answer. Now, just do what you have to do!" her tone sounded irritated, the woman held back her tantrum.

"Ok-ok, I'll take care of it right away." Hans didn't want to make things worse. So he immediately withdrew and did as Jessica ordered.

Hans and Jessica got the job done on time. There is no dinner schedule that Friday. Jessica also didn't plan to take Hans out to dinner. The atmosphere was quite awkward after their argument this afternoon.

Early in the morning, Hans led Jessica to catch a flight to Thailand and attend the MOU event as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the charity auction starts in the afternoon, exactly at 3 pm. The event was attended by businessmen from various countries. What a great opportunity for and looking for business connections.

Jessica enjoyed getting to know some handsome businessmen. The woman was very good at her mouth and had captivated several men in the blink of an eye.

Jessica was forced to say goodbye to a handsome Germanian when the tail of her eyes caught the figure of a middle-aged man in the corner of the room. What a coincidence, if that man was here then another old man would be around here. After walking around for a while, Jessica finally found the old man.

"Grandfather!" Jessica immediately ran into Mr. Hermawan Hartanto's arms. The old man could still be said to be charming in his brown tux suit.

"I came here to see my son but I met my granddaughter instead." Mr. Hermawan Hartanto welcomed his granddaughter with love.

"My father is here too?"
