Chapter Four: Save Her
(Levi's POV)
"Kami?" I asked again as I turned to face the tree, placing my hand softly against the rough bark that covered the tree. Mikasa looked over at me as she raised her eyebrow. "Commander? What is going on?" She questioned as I shifted my gaze from the tree to her. "I..I thought I heard Kami..but I must have been hearing things." I sighed deeply as Armin, Eren, and Hange finally arrived on horseback.
"There you are. Did you get what we needed?" I asked as they climbed off of their horses. Hange held up three skinny vials of dark maroon blood. "I sure did." She smiled as Armin walked over to the base of the tree, holding the same book from before.
"Commander, if you want to be the one to speak with Kami, you're going to have to use Emi's blood to draw the summoning circle. If Kami accepts then she will pull your spirit into the tree." Armin explained as I took a deep breath and nodded. The thought of using my fiancé's blood as a drawling tool made me feel sick to my stomach. But, I had to do what I had to do in order to get in contact with Kami.
"Don't worry Commander, we will take care of your body while your in the tree." Eren stated as Mikasa nodded in agreement. Hange opened the old thick book in-front of me as Armin pored the three vials of blood into a small metal bowl. I glanced down at the symbol I was supposed to draw. It was a huge circle with a pentagram inside. Along the outside of the circle, in kanji it stated:
Before creation must come destruction.
After finishing the symbol I placed my hands on the base of the tree and closed my eyes. Suddenly the symbol began to glow bright red as I was sucked into the tree. I groaned as I opened my eyes slowly, two massive dragons, both black and red were in front of me. They kept their menacing gaze on me as I slowly sat up. "Who are you, human." The dragon to my left growled as my eyes widened a bit.
"My name is Levi Ackerman, I am here to see the Hanoikami." I stated as confidently as I could as the dragons looked amongst one another. "And what business do you have with our Goddess, Ackerman." The other dragon questioned. Their voices were coated in disgust as I slowly stood up. "I need to speak with Kami about her vessel, Emi." I explained as the two dragons looked between one another again. Suddenly they both bowed and closed their eyes as I felt a thick aura begin to surround me.
"What a pleasant surprise. Long time no see, Levi." Kami's voice sent shivers down my spine as she walked in between the dragons. She wore a long black and red gown, that hugged her every curve. She had long pale blonde hair that was pulled up into a high pony tail and two large black horns on top of her head. She smirked viciously as I also noticed the human skull that she was wearing as a necklace.
"I'm glad to see you're doing well Kami." I stated as she smiled, taking a few steps towards me. "What are you doing here? How did you know about the communication seal?" She questioned as she reached up and rubbed the side of both of the dragons heads. "Settle down you two. He is a friend not a foe." Kami stated as the two large dragons laid down next to Kami. My eyes glanced to the skull around her neck again as she followed my gaze and giggled.
"You like my necklace? It's Erwins." She explained as my eyes widened a bit. "In here, he was absolutely no match for me. I had a lot of fun with him." She smirked as she looked at me. "So, Levi. Why are you here? Where is Emi?" She asked as I sighed deeply.
"Emi was taken..I don't know where she is but I know who has her. I'm afraid of the worst. Please Kami, help me find her." I explained as Kami rolled her eyes and sighed. "Levi, I left her alone with you for a short period and you lost her?" She rubbed her temples as she looked down at the dragon to her left. "Rin, transform into a spirit guide and take Levi to wherever Emi is. Make sure she is back in his custody and safe before you leave." Kami instructed as the dragon nodded and suddenly transformed into a small fox with four tails.
"Do you think once I have her back, that we can find a way to put you and Emi together again? She really misses you Kami." I explained as she sighed and looked up at me. "Once you have her back, bring her to the tree. I have enough of a spiritual connection with her to talk to her one more time. But I can no longer fuse with her. She is strong and will figure out her own destiny." Kami explained as I nodded. Rin walked over to me and sighed "Are you ready human?" He asked as I nodded.
"Oh, by the way Rin." Kami began to speak as Rin instantly bowed his head. "Once you find the people who took Emi, annihilate them." Kami ordered as Rin nodded. "Your wish is my command, your grace." He spoke softly as she smiled and nodded. "Good luck Levi, go get our girl back." Kami stated as I nodded and left with Rin.
