(Emi's POV)
My eyes fluttered open as I groaned. My body ached, the feeling of a warm light pulling me out of my sleep. "W-Where am I?" I muttered as I felt a soft hand touch my arm. "Try not to move much, I was able to heal your wounds but your body still needs rest." A familiar voice explained, causing my eyes to widen. "K-Kami?" I turned my head to see the captivating goddess that once lived inside of me.
I instantly sat up, ignoring the screaming in my muscles as I wrapped my arms around her neck and hugged her tight. Tears began to stream down my face as she smiled softly and hugged me back. "Hi, Emi..." she whispered in my ear. "H-How? I thought I'd never see you again!" I stated as she pulled away slightly so our faces were inches apart. Her bright red eyes showed a type of softness I hadn't seen before.
"This isn't a permanent thing Emi.. I'm using the last bit of spiritual connection we have in order to heal you and see you one last time." She explained, her words causing my eyes to widen slightly. "B-But.." I mumbled as she touched my cheek gently. "No, Emi you need to hear this. You need to live your life to the fullest. I sent Rin and Ren to destroy the church and everyone wearing one of those stupid robes. This is the last thing I can do for you. You have so many people in the human world who love and need you Emi." She stated as she smiled softly.
"You have a life that you need to live, stop worrying about me okay? I'll always be with you." She added as she reached behind her neck and unhooked a necklace. The small heart shaped ruby laid at the center of the silver necklace. She reached behind my neck and hooked it together. I looked down at the beautiful necklace that was now around my neck as Kami smiled. "Don't worry about me Emi, I want you to be happy and healthy. You have a baby you'll have to take care of now." Kami placed her hand on my stomach as my eyes widened in shock.
"B-But how? Kenny stabbed me..I..I thought I'd loose the baby.." I explained through my tears as she rubbed my stomach softly. "The baby was barely alive when Rin brought you here. She's extremely resilient." She smirked as I looked up at her. "She?" I questioned. It was still way too soon for me to know the gender. Kami pulled her finger up to her lips and smiled. "It's a secret but, when I was healing you I felt her spiritual energy. She's going to be strong just like you and her father." Kami stated as I chuckled and brushed a tear off of my cheek.
"Thank you Kami...You're my best friend and I'll never forget everything you've done for Levi and I." I pulled her into another hug as she froze for a moment, and then slowly hugged me back. "You're my best friend too, thank you for showing me that Humans aren't totally worthless." She giggled as I smiled. "Now, you have a certain man outside who is impatiently waiting for you." She stated as I nodded and stood up.
"I'll never forget you Kami." I spoke softly as we walked to the entrance of the tree. She rolled her eyes and sighed. "If you forget me, I'll haunt you." She jokes as I giggled. We hugged each other one last time as I touched her soft face and smiled. "Goodbye Kami, thank you for everything." I spoke, causing a tear to stream down her face. She sniffles quickly and wiped the tear away.
"Okay, okay enough with the sappy stuff. Get your ass moving and go see your future." She smacked my butt, causing me to chuckle. I took a deep breath and looked back at her one more time before stepping into the light of the entrance to the human realm.
I walked out of the Spirit Tree too see Hange, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Historia, Jon and Levi around the base of the tree. Levi was pacing back and forth, his whole body shaking as Historia touched his arm softly. "Don't worry Levi, she will be okay." She tried to console him as he pushed her hand away. "I can't lose her..I-I can't.." he muttered, tears streaming down his face as I smiled softly. "Levi..." I spoke softly as everyone turned to see me. Levi's dark eyes widened as I ran to him. After a few moments of running I jumped into his arms. He pulled me as close as he could as one of his hands went to my lower back, the other softly in my hair.
"E-Emi, you're alive.." he began to sob as I nodded, squeezing him as tight as I could. "I'm never leaving you again Levi.." I whispered as I placed my hands on each side of his face and kissed him deeply. Levi kissed me in a way that I've never been kissed before. "The baby?.." he muttered between kisses as I smiled. "She's okay, we're both okay thanks to Kami." I explained as Levi's eyes widened. Tears streamed down his face as he spoke. "A girl?" He whispered as I nodded.
"I know you're not excited about the baby but-" I began to say as Levi crashed his lips against mine, stopping me from finishing my sentence. "Emi, I'm so sorry for everything. I was in the wrong. I love you and this baby Emi, more than anyone else. Please forgive me?" He spoke softly as I smiled and nodded. "I love you too Levi, let's go home." I stated as he smiled and nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's go back home."
