(Levi's POV)
"Levi, I'm telling you everything is going smoothly. So, stop freaking out." Eren tried to calm my nerves as I paced back and forth through the grooms quarters. Today was the day that I finally got to marry the love of my life. The past week and a half had been calm and relaxing, as we finished preparations for the wedding. I looked over myself in the mirror one more time, fixing my ascot as I sighed.
"I know, it's normal to be nervous right before you get married...Right?" I asked as Eren chuckled. "Having cold feet, Commander?" Historia asked as she peaked her head in the door. I shook my head as she walked in, quickly closing the door behind herself. Her long blonde hair was pulled up in a fancy bun, a floor length soft pink gown with crystals embroidered along the bodice.
"Cold feet? Hell no. I've been waiting to marry Emi for a long time." I smiled, the excitement building in the pit of my stomach. Historia giggled as she walked over to me and adjusted my ascot slightly. "You two are seriously so adorable together." She commented as I sighed and nodded in agreement. "How is she? You don't think she's having cold feet, right?" I asked, my nerves getting the better of me again. Eren sighed deeply and took a sip of his champagne.
"Emi is doing wonderful. We had a little issue earlier but we were able to fix it quickly." Historia explained as I raised an eyebrow. "Issue? What do you mean?" I questioned as she giggled and inspected herself in the mirror. "Well, she didn't have a baby bump when we originally ordered her dress. So, Mikasa was able to alter the dress so she could comfortably fit it." She explained, causing me to smile.
Emi wasn't very far along in the pregnancy, but due to her slim figure she was already starting to show. I took a deep breath and looked down at my watch, the nervous feeling in my stomach instantly washed away as I nodded. "It's time to go." I stated as Eren nodded and stood up, slipping his suit jacket on as he smiled.
After a short walk we reached the ceremony hall. All of our friends were there, as well as the rest of the officers from the scout and garrison regime. The ceremony space was large, decorated with deep red roses and vibrant yellow sunflowers. Sheer cream fabric lined the sides of the pews and at the altar was a large arch covered in sunflowers, roses and twinkling lights. The priest, Pastor Urik stood at the front of the alter with a small black Bible in his hands.
I walked up and stood where I was supposed to at the altar as I smiled and shook Pastor Urik's hand. After a few moments a soft angelic like melody played on the nearby piano as everyone in the audience stood up and turned to look at the door. The large mahogany doors slowly opened as Mikasa and Eren walked down the isle first, then Hange and Armin, and finally Historia and Jon. Once they all got in their places Emi finally appeared.
When I looked at her I felt like time stopped. She began slowly walking down the isle, every eye in the room was on her. Her slim body was covered in a sheer nude colored layered fabric with off white lace embroidered flowers. The bodice had a low cut sweetheart neckline, with sheer straps. In between her breasts was the necklace Kami had given her, her perfect sun kissed skin shining under the twinkling lights in the hall. I could feel my eyes begin to water as she gently smiled at me, the most adorable blush appearing on her cheeks. Her silky blonde hair halfway pulled up, a few lightly curled strands framed her breathtaking face.
Once she reached the alter I took her soft hands in mine, my heart racing faster as each second passed. "You look so handsome Levi." She whispered, her sweet voice made my face turn pink as I couldn't stop myself from smiling. "I can't believe I get to marry someone as perfect as you, I love you." I whispered back as her royal golden eyes began to tear up. "I love you too Levi, so much." She squeezed my hand as I rubbed my thumb across her knuckles.
"You all may be seated." Pastor Urik spoke loudly as everyone in the audience took their seats. Emi smiled, biting her bottom lip as pastor Urik began the ceremony. So much time had left up to this, and I was still in shock that a girl like Emi, could fall for a guy like me. I zoned out accidentally during Pastor Urik's welcome statement, too distracted by my breath taking fiancé who stood before me, barely holding in her tears, and excitement.
"The bride and groom have decided to write their own vows. Commander Levi, you may begin." Pastor Urik nodded as I took a deep breath, trying to focus on my vows. "Emi, I would be lying if I said I couldn't believe we'd end up here right now. Deep down from the beginning I knew you were my soulmate. My whole life I've felt incomplete, like I was only put on this planet to fight for humanity. Until I met you. You challenge me everyday, and push my buttons like no one else." The guests chuckled, knowing Emi's personality as she rolled her eyes and giggled.
"But, you also make me feel grounded. You make it okay for me to feel things, and I never thought I'd get to experience that before I met you. I love you Emi Toragashi. More then I've ever loved anyone or anything before." I just barely finished my vows before I felt a tear stream down my cheek. Emi sniffled and reached up, catching the tear on her fingertip as she blushed deeply. Sounds of sniffling could be heard through the audience as Pastor Urik turned and looked at Emi. She nodded and pulled her hand away for a second, wiping a few tears of her own as she tried to compose herself.
"Thank you Levi, you have no idea how much you've changed my life. I never believed in true love until I met you for the first time. We've been through a lot, our relationship and our lives have been on the line multiple times. But, I never doubted that we would make it out together. You make me strong, you make me feel wanted and loved. I will never know what I did to deserve you. I'm so excited to get the honor of calling you my husband as well as raising our daughter together." She sniffled as I reached over and softly rubbed her small baby bump.
"Thank you for never giving up on me, no matter what. I'll never give up on you Levi, for as long as I live. I love you Levi, more then you will ever know." She kept her eyes on me as she finished her vows. It took every fiber of my being to stop myself from kissing her, knowing that we still had to do a few things before I could. I squeezed her hands softly, causing her blush to deepen. Pastor Urik continued through the service, my mind only focused on Emi.
Once we exchanged rings Pastor Urik said the sentence I had been waiting to hear. " I know pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Levi Ackerman, you may now kiss the bride." Before Pastor Urik could even take a breath I used my left hand to pull Emi against me, my right hand grabbed her face softly as I passionately kissed my new wife. The crowd stoop up and began cheering and clapping loudly.
"WOOHOO!" Hange yelled as Historia stood next to her, clapping as she tried to get herself to stop crying. Eren whistled loudly as Jon put his hands around his mouth. "GO COMMANDER! CONGRATULATIONS!" The ceremony hall roared with celebration as Emi pulled away from our first kiss as husband and wife.
We turned to face the crowd as Mikasa, Emi's maid of honor handed her the beautiful rose and sunflower bouquet of flowers that belonged to Emi. Emi took the bouquet and raised it in the air in excitement as she giggled. I smiled and chuckled as I led her down the isle, and out the large mahogany doors to the carriage that would take us to our wedding reception.
