Chapter Eight: The Reception (Wedding day: Part Two)

(Emi's POV)

The catchy beat of the song playing through the DJ speakers filled the air in the reception hall. The large cream colored room was decorated in sheer fabric, twinkling lights, roses and sunflowers. There was a huge dance floor in the middle of the room, the large wood floor sparkled under the lights that were hanging from the ceiling. A long bar at one end of the room, fully stocked and ready to serve the guests whatever alcoholic beverages they wanted. At the front of the room was the wedding party's table, with two seats directly in the center for Levi and I.

Dinner was soon going to be served as our guests were mingling with each other, dancing or drinking. I stood by the bar and smiled to myself, looking down at my gorgeous wedding band set. The rose gold metal looked great against my sun kissed skin. "No second thoughts, right?" Levi whispered in my ear, causing chills to fly down my exposed back. I bit my lower lip as I smirked. "Maybe." The sarcasm in my voice causing the sexual tension between the two of us to slowly increase.

"You better watch that attitude of your's, Mrs. Ackerman. Or I'll have to punish you for it..." He growled in my ear, making it so only I could hear him. His hands traveled from the small of my back to my curvy hips. I giggled and took a sip of the strawberry tea in front of me. "Mr. Ackerman, behave. We're still around our guests." I teased as he chuckled, biting my ear softly. A deep blush appeared across my cheeks as Levi smiled devilishly.

"We could always slip out for some time alone, I mean we do have to celebrate." He stated as I rolled my eyes and giggled. "That's what the honeymoon is for darling." A deep sigh came from his lips as he nodded at one of the four bartenders that Hange had hired. The tall man nodded and poured Levi a glass of cold whiskey. "You're lucky I'm in a good mood, or  I would take you right here." He placed his hand on top of the bar, causing my face to turn beet red. "In front of everyone here. We'd really give our guests a good show." He added as a smirk appeared on his handsome face.

"Hey, Commander! Come here a sec!" Jon called from a group of guys across the bar. Levi nodded and held his finger up in response as he touched my chin softly, turning my face to look at him. "I hope your ready for tonight, Mrs. Ackerman. I'm going to show you one of the reasons why you married me." His deep voice made my knees feel weak as I bit my lower lip. "Can't wait, Mr. Ackerman." I giggled as he leaned in and gently kissed my forehead.

Once he headed over to the group of guys I exhaled deeply. "Jeez, you're already pregnant. That man is ridiculous." Hange's voice caused me to jump as I turned to face her. "Christ Hange! You scared the shit out of me!" I sighed deeply, placing one of my palms on my small bump, the lacy fabric of my wedding dress tickled the sensitive skin on my fingers. Hange shrugged and took a sip of her beer.

"I'm still trying to process that the famous Levi Ackerman, humanity's strongest actually got married." She stated as I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" I questioned, glancing over at my husband who was laughing with some of his fellow soldiers. "Well, before Levi met you he was always quite. I never saw him smile, until you started training with him..." Hange explained, a gentle smile appeared on my face.

"The one night, a few days after he took you on as a cadet all of us captains went out for a drink. None of us had seen Levi talk that much before. Granted, it was about how frustrating you were. After he stopped bitching, he had this odd smile on his face." She stated as I giggled, remembering the many spats Levi and I had. I looked back at Levi again, our eyes meeting as he instantly smiled and winked at me. The blush that was just starting to disappear, reappeared in a few seconds. The rest of the night flew by in the blink of an eye. The food that Sasha ordered was splendid. Juicy pink salmon covered in a rich holindase sauce with roasted potatoes and asparagus was the entree, which was extremely delicious. The music kept the guests dancing until the night ended.

"Everything is packed and ready to go Commander!" Jon explained as Levi nodded and turned to face me. I smiled softly and took his hand. "Are you ready to go?" Levi asked, the guests gathering behind us to say goodbye. "I am, but you still haven't told me where we were going." I smirked as he chuckled and put his hand on the small of my back. "And I'm not going to tell you until we get there." A small sigh escaped my lips as he opened the carriage door. I took his hand and carefully climbed in, cautiously trying to avoid tripping over my floor length gown.

"BYE YOU TWO LOVEBIRDS! I'LL MISS YOU FORVER!" Hange drunkenly called as Mikasa held onto her. "They will be back Hange, they're only going to be gone for a week." Mikasa explained as Historia, who was standing next to her began to cry. "Young love is such a beautiful thing." She sniffled as Mikasa rubbed the bridge of her nose. Levi climbed in next to me, his muscular arm draped over my shoulders as I looked out the window of the carriage, waving to all of our friends as the carriage took off for our honeymoon.
