Chapter 5- The origin of Kiro

My name totally contradicts my fate.

"Sarang, I will give you an address, and do remember once you reach there, you are no longer an omega but a beta." Hyung supported me as I stood up and gave me an address. It was a mansion that I used to pass by on my way to school.

"This place belongs to the CEO of an entertainment company and currently, there is a vacancy for the job of a nanny for the youngest of the family. But there is one condition that the person could only be a beta. Currently, there is no place safe for you Sarang. So, you have to qualify for the interview by all means. I have to go now, my parents must be searching for us and this place is not too far. So, they could reach here anytime. Also, I have already called the mansion regarding the job interview so all you have to do is go as Kiro."

I stood there still trying to analyze his words "But that's your name. No! I can't," I shake my head in disagreement as I realized that it was the job that he was going to apply for and extended the business card back towards him.

"Sarang please this is the only way to keep you safe. I promise I will come back for you once things settle down. This is just temporary and most of all, this will keep you safe," he spoke as he turned away after reassuring me and fastened his pace. Then he suddenly started running and I kept calling him but he didn't turn back, not even once.

"Kiro, Kiro. The CEO is calling you what are spacing out for. Hurry and go," I heard Ms. Lee calling out my name as I unintentionally nodded for some time. My recurrent dreams of childhood and the stress of not finding a place are disturbing my sleep schedule.

"How many tears need to be shed to mend the time that has been passed or have we changed too much to even wait. I know that the time has passed and it was too long. Have you already forgotten? But in my heart, I no longer think that we can forget each other as you stayed beside me in the difficult days. I am still hurting but simultaneously waiting." after reading those lines Mr.Andrew took a long pause and broke the silence, "This is indeed beautiful Kiro, I came across the work that you submitted and your work is rather appreciable. I will recommend them as lyrics for the new debut group."

For an instant, I wanted to appreciate the person in front of me, the person after Alex who recognized my talent and the person who is actually the inspiration behind it. I could feel my tiredness eradicating as I heard those words from him. Things have been so steady lately and everything is turning out great. But whenever happiness taps my door, sadness follows along.

As Mr. CEO was scrolling through the pages that I submitted, I admired how beautiful of an adult he is now. I always knew that he said what he meant that day in the park.

"Hyung, don't worry, once I will become an adult, you will not have to listen to anyone's order as I will marry you, and then we both will lead a happy life together and then we can play every day." (Refer to chapter 3)

But never would I have imagined that the little alpha whom I adored the most would turn out to be such a fine human. But I am glad that he doesn't remember me. It will only cause trouble for him anyway.

"Mr. Kiro?" he halted shuffling through the files as he asked me.

"Ah! Yes sir. I am highly obliged by your gesture. Thank you for appreciating my work and I will try to improve myself so that I could produce more fruitful outcomes in the future."

As soon as I finished my sentence, his secretary from behind knocked on the door, and on his permission, she came in. "Sir, you have the meeting in about an hour. So if we leave now then we will be able to reach on time."

"Alright, then sir I will leave as I also have to leave early today," I spoke before turning towards the door.

"May I ask the reason Mr. Kiro?" he asked me as he stood up and put on his coat. Oops, should I not have said that I thought to myself but looking at him it seems that he is asking me just out of curiosity.

"Um, sir, I am going to look for a new place," I answered hesitatingly.

"Have you checked our company website, we do offer rooms to the desirable ones," he questioned me while fixing his tie. My eyes glistened as I listened to his words.

"Yes, sir, I got to know about this today only but will I be eligible too." To my surprise, I saw a frown on his face as he approached me then as if forcing himself into a smile he spoke, "Can you please elaborate Mr. Kiro?" He was so close that I could feel his breath and that frown made him look scary.

"I mean since I am an omeg..." without me completing my sentence he spoke midway.

"Ms. chang can you please enlighten Mr. Kiro about our company's guidelines and please lay special emphasis on our gender equality policy. I suppose he has not gone through the company's guidelines properly," he spoke in a harsh tone.

"No, sir, I didn't mean it that way," I tried to control the situation as I knew that I messed up. I saw him moving away and walking towards the door.

"Also, Mr. Kiro, we all are humans first. This gender system was made by society and we are a part of that society so it depends on us how we implement the rules. I hope you try to trust yourself a little more. As it was because of the talent that you reached here and nothing else," he left the room while his secretary followed her.

But I could still hear those words resonate in my ears and I could not help myself but curl my lips into a smile instead.

I sighed. "Thank you for being the same my little alpha," I spoke those words to myself as I rushed towards my laptop to apply for the vacant room.
