True fans.

Though Mark already had a hint of what Gary was talking about, he still feigned like he knew nothing. He maintained his calm composure before speaking,

"What do you mean? I don't understand".

"You don't understand or you are just pretending, how could you release such a song about John and Henry without my awareness, two famous artistes in the music industry, aren't you scared of criticism? Don't you know John and Henry are big artistes in the music industry?". Gary uttered with a loud tone of voice.

Mark scratched his head in irritation, why was no one concerned about the anger he was feeling inside that compelled him to sing such a song about them. Their only concern was that he directed such a song to two famous artistes. If he could receive critics and insults from other people because of the song, he wasn't expecting his boss to agree with the song at all.

Gary wasn't the type of person that would even give a f**k about the resentment Mark was feeling inside that impelled him to sing such a song. Worst of all, it was directed at two famous artistes, he would never in his lifetime concur to such a song from any artiste signed to his record label. But an upcoming artiste in his label dared to record such a song without his knowledge and also released it without his knowledge.

It wasn't something he would let go of that easily, and Mark gave no f**k about that. Doing stuff in an attempt to pleasing Gary wasn't on Mark's agenda at all. He does some of the things Gary says 'cause he was signed to his label. Since Gary didn't care about the anger he was feeling inside that made him sing such a song about them, he gave no f**k about how angry he was about the song, he could burst out in anger for all he cares.

"If you listen closely to the contents of the song, you would understand why I sang such a song about them. I didn't sing it for fun, I sang it 'cause I needed to release some of the anger I was feeling towards them from my heart. They mocked and made fun of me and my music career, I couldn't take it anymore". Mark explained even though he hated doing so.

"I don't care about that! you can't just record any type of song you feel like recording and drop it without my consent. I have my reputation to keep also, what would the few people that listen to the song say? Isn't it that upcoming artiste that is signed to 'Cool Boiz' record that sang such a contempt song? How could his label boss grant consent to the release of such a song? Such an unorganized and disrespectful record label. That is what most people would conclude". Gary stated, his voice was so audible, he was definitely in rage.

"But I sang the song for a reason, ain't you concerned about that. I know Henry and John are both big artistes in the music industry, but we were very close friends before we separated in a bad way. And why are you so concerned about what people would say about you? I am the one that sang the song, so I am the one people would throw abusive words at". Mark clarified once again, his tone of voice was getting audible also.

"I don't care if you are the one abusive shades would be thrown on, my point is, I don't want such hate songs from any artiste that is signed to my label ever again!". Gary yelled.

Mark paused a bit, sighed deeply, before proceeding with his speech,

"Well, what is done is done, the song is on all streaming platforms already, nothing can be done about it anymore. As for your command not to record such a song anymore, I am gonna heed to it from now on. As for the criticism and insults, I'm receiving It in full already, and none of them mentioned or blamed you for anything".

"Good to know, now that we are clear on this, you can leave my house now". Gary let out as he dashed into his room.

Mark was damn pissed off already, when was the last time he and his boss ever had a peaceful discussion, their conversations often end in ranting and shouting. As far as their chat was based on what Gary doesn't concur with, it was sure not to end well. Their last disagreement occurred when Mark asked him if he could switch to another record label, and after that disagreement that transpired between him and Gary at that moment, Mark suddenly became hungry which prompted him to visit his favorite restaurant that evening.

The same thing was repeating itself, not too long after the little disagreement that occurred between him and his boss, his stomach was already rumbling. He had foodstuffs available in his house which he could use in preparing a delicious meal for himself. But he wasn't in his cooking mood at all, his boss surely does know how to get on his nerves and trample on his mood. Visiting his favorite restaurant to eat was the best available option for him at the moment.

He got to his favorite restaurant, ordered his favorite dish which is rice balls and gumbo stew. He ate the food slowly enjoying the pleasant taste of it, he would never choose any other favorite dish in place of rice balls and gumbo stew, never! After finishing his meal, he footed his bill and departed from the restaurant. On getting outside of the restaurant, a feminine voice called his name from behind.

"Mark?"

Mark stood still not moving an inch anymore, he wasn't familiar with the tone of voice, so who was this person? He swiveled back to take a look at the person calling him, the moment she saw his face completely, she began screaming in a joyous way which seems to grab the attention of some passersby.

"Wow! It is truly Mark, oh my gosh, am so happy right now". She let out from her mouth after the joyous screaming as she ran straight to Mark giving him a tight hug.

Mark was still confused, who was she? he knew he hadn't met her before, so why the hug?

"I am a big fan of you, I love your music so much, especially the one titled 'That feeling'. You are such a talented singer and I've always been meaning to meet with you, my dream has finally come true". She said as she hugged Mark tightly once again.

Mark wasn't confused anymore, he understood who she was now and he didn't waste time to reciprocate her warm embrace. He was pleased in his heart, another true fan of his music, it feels nice. They released themselves from each other's embrace as she brought out a book and pen from the little bag she was carrying.

"Please can I get your signature on this, this would bring back memories of the day I met with you".

"Sure, no probs". Mark said taking the book and pen from her clearly inscribing his signature on one of the pages of the book.

"There is somewhere else I want you to sign on". She said after receiving the book from Mark.

"Where?" Mark asked.

"On my left hand".

Mark was perplexed by what she just said, why does she want him to sign on her left hand?

"Why do you want me to sign on your left hand?". Mark inquired of her.

"I want it to be like a tattoo there, so I could also use it to recall to when I met with you, I have a permanent marker with me". She stated handing the permanent marker over to Mark.

Mark collected the marker from her signing boldly on her left hand, excitement was evident on her face as he did so. She wasn't done with her request yet, she still had some things to ask of him, so she said,

"I still have two more requests".

"Go on".

"Can we take selfies together?".

"Sure, why not".

She brought out her android phone as they began taking some nice photos together. They smiled a lot while taking the photos and it made them look absolutely cool. After the selfies, she uttered her last request,

"As I said earlier, I am a very big fan of you, I love your songs so much, and I also have friends that love your songs so much and they have been meaning to meet with you. I want to call them to come over here so they could finally meet you, could you please wait?".

"Yeah, I would wait, like how many of them?". Mark inquired of her.

"They ain't that much". She replied already putting the phone call through.

Mark was excited about what was happening before him right now, at least he had fans out there who loved and appreciated his music, though they weren't that much, it was something. It was enough to lift his spirit a little. He sat on a vacant chair very close to his favorite restaurant waiting patiently for her friends to arrive.
