To choose the students who will participate in the 61st Seven Stars Sword Art Festival, academy holds Battle Selections where students fight each other at "random" selections and those who remain undefeated gets to participate.
Unfortunately this resulted in most of my opponents to just give up... It seems I got a scary reputation amongst the student body.
If people didn't give up they gave up after I summoned Rebellion and gave a few probing attacks.
The first person who decided to face me was Kirihara, the guy who can make himself transparent. The reason? Well he's an self conceited asshole but this is personal for him.

So here I am in the battle arena testing out some spells I can use to my advantage like putting some circles that messes with gravity.
I am not rigging the match I am just looking so I can put them during the match.
I sensed someone reaching to my shoulder and pushed it away casually.
"Hey man just being friendly" Kirihara the bitch I don't remember his last name.
"Yeah, I am not that relaxed around people." I ignore him he's a coward at best but the thing that makes me hate him he acts like he's not a coward.
I mean look at me I ran away from Fate Universe because I was afraid to stay there. I will be leaving this place because I am scared of Edelweiss because her sword style is bullshit.
I will probably create my own universe just to stop being scared. I accept that I am a coward, so this guy pisses me off.
"You think you can act that arrogant because you got some talent!"

"I'll show you during our battle bastard!"

I had a feeling that he was trying to provoke me to get me disqualified but turns out he really took it personally.
He already tortured several students using his Area Invisible Noble Art so he got some reputation and no one saw me fight yet because everyone just gave up.

I let Kirihara set up his thing, I didn't listen to his talking he's just keeps insulting me.
"... Let's see how you're going to win if you can't find me!" I close my eyes and use my sensing spell to find his location and there!
I found him but I am not going to defeat him right away, I may have trained Royal Guard but I didn't have a good way to practice against projectiles.
This guy is like the perfect training tool for me, so I kept guarding for a while. There's no time limit during matches so I took my time making sure I got it right.
"Are you scared*huff* because you can't*huff* find me?" Huh What's he talking about? anyway I am done with the training it was fruitful.
"I don't need my eyes to see you." I teleport to him and just slash him, I know he fears pain so I let him suffer.
[Ethan's moveset is based on Dante's DMC 5 Moveset so he can totally teleport at short distances and I should have written this a long time ago...]
He is on the ground wailing like a pig getting slaughtered, whole school is afraid of me now because I used the match for training... I won but at what cost...
Nah, I don't give a shit about those useless assholes.
Ethan(Ren) Totally forgot how scary his device looks to others...

There was a brief summer vacation between selections, during that time I trained with Ikki. Unfortunately I can't train with anyone else because the rest of the people I know are all participants so they have their own training.
"Ren, why do you keep those bracelets on while fighting?"
"I am trying to break a set of chains, that requires me to reach to peak of my potential and overcome it."
"Sorry?"
"Capacity of a blazer might be determined at birth but it doesn't have to stay like that. If one reaches their full growth they start seeing black chains that keeps them from improving..." I got his full attention right now.
"...These chains are called chains of fate and once broken people become immune to causation manipulation abilities, can keep training and most importantly their magical power increase with training." Ikki falls unable to handle the hope that came out of nowhere.
"Really!?"
"Really."
"Really?"
"Really." I assure him a second time while my mind wanders to Mizukage Gengetsu man that guy was fun.
"That's awesome." Well, with hope comes determination he got me to make him a better gravity bracelet...

Continuing the battles I was pit against current student council and won which made people give up all together.
Unfortunately seeing Touka's potential they didn't have us fight so we can both go to the festival, in the end it was me, Touka and Ayase was chosen to represent Hagun Academy in 61st Seven Stars Sword Art Festival.
It frustrated Touka to no end because she wanted to use her new an shiny moves on me first but didn't get the chance to do it. Her personality does a complete flip when it come to battles...
We didn't do a joint training with another school like in the light novels.
We did have a training session with the alumni from the school though, which didn't end up well for them. Thank god there's a non lethal mode for these Devices.

"Are you sure that you want to do this Morgan?" I ask my wife who's throwing toilet papers to a mansion
"I am bored I will get any form of entertainment at this point."I nod while handing her the rotten eggs.
"You can always play video games..." I suggest
"I am saving that for later." I nod I get her completely it's like leaving the food you like for the last.
"Well, that was fun. Did you know that I put curses on those eggs they only smell bad to the males."
"Well, what next?" I ask while leaving Kurogane estate they didn't even realize we were here.
"Itsuki got used to dealing with hot pink hair, I say we go for his eyebrows this time."
"Nice but let's get Genma as well."
Next week no eyebrows became the newest sensation with the leading figure of the movement being Kurogane Itsuki and his father Kurogane Genma.
