"You what?" Olivia asked.
The prince then hugged her from the back and repeated, "I said I like you."
As soon as she heard those words, her eyes widened. Her heart was beating quick and her face started turning red. Did she feel the same way? Why was she nervous? Would she really allow him to enter her life that easily?
"I don't feel the same way, your highness."
"Are you just gonna make a decision without even pondering about it?" Carson asked as he hugged her tighter.
"I'm sure, so let go of me now or I'll scream."
"You think you can? Shout all you want. Let's see if someone will come and get you."
"I will try to—"
The prince then kissed her again and whispered to her ear, "I won't take no as an answer."
Olivia then instantly pushed him away and demanded, "Let go of me. I still have work."
As soon as the prince loosened his grip, Olivia immediately ran to her room as more tears started falling. She didn't know how to reply which was why she rejected him. She knew she couldn't fall in love with the wrong person. She had to keep it all to herself. When she went in her room, she told Eleanor about everything, so Eleanor made a plan.
"No, I won't be affected." Olivia smiled.
"I'm worried about you, Olivia. If he treats you that way, then let's leave."
"Like I said, I can bear it. Don't worry about me anymore. You need rest. Your heart isn't fully recovered yet."
"Are you sure?"
"We have to face these things, Eleanor."
The next day...
(In the princess's bedroom)
Kaycee asked Olivia what happened the day before. Olivia then told the princess that the prince told her that he liked her and he kissed her without her consent.
Kaycee patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll make sure that he'll stop."
Olivia bowed. "Thank you, your highness. I also apologize for the incident yesterday."
"It's fine. I was actually jealous at first, but I was wrong because I didn't trust Adam," Kaycee explained.
Olivia said, "Your highness, Adam and I aren't what you think."
"I know. You don't need to explain. I'll give you a day off. You need rest."
A few hours later...
(In the king's bedroom)
Cameron asked why both Kaycee and Carson were at his room. The princess then told everything the prince did to Olivia.
Cameron leaned back at his chair. "Carson, seriously?"
"It's not what you think. I just wasn't myself that time," Carson explained.
"Then apologize to her," Kaycee demanded.
The prince folded his arms. "Why should I?"
Cameron answered, "Not all girls like the bad boy type."
The princess added, "You aren't even thinking about her feelings."
The prince looked away. "Why should I think about her feelings? I'm sure she likes me back."
"Elder brother! Stop being so arrogant!" the princess yelled.
"You should stop bothering her," the king added.
"Can you guys at least side with me?" Carson asked.
"We won't because you're the one at fault. You should've have done that," Kaycee told him.
"Fine then. I don't need your opinions," the prince said as he walked out of the room.
The princess then asked the king what was happening to the prince. The king told her that Carson probably hasn't realized his mistake yet.
Kaycee scratched her head. "I really didn't expect that brother has gone crazy for Olive."
Cameron sighed, "He'll never get her if he's just gonna keep doing that."
"Speaking of Olive, how's Eva?"
Cameron's eyes widened. "Why are you asking me that? I haven't seen her in a few days."
Kaycee smirked. "Do you even wonder where she is?"
"Not interested," the king lied.
"I know you're curious, so I'll just tell you. Olive told me a few days ago that she'll be taking a leave because she isn't feeling well."
"How is she now?"
"I don't know, but I heard Olive say that she's fine."
"Good to hear. Anyway, have you gotten over it?"
"I did. I realized that even if I was adopted, I know that you'll always be there for me."
"I'm glad you're fine. Just remember that you're always gonna be little sister okay?" said Cameron.
"I know. I never knew you had this sweet side." Kaycee giggled.
"Just to some people."
"Have you shown this side to Eva?"
"Maybe."
"You must be really lucky if you got Eva to like you."
The king started fixing the scattered papers on his table. "I don't need her to."
"Why not? Don't you like her?" the princess asked.
"Do you want me to tell you everyday that I don't like her? I've told you a hundred times already!"
"No matter how many times you say that you don't like her, I won't believe you."
"Up to you."
"Brother, do you think Adam likes Olive?" Kaycee asked.
"Why did you ask that out of the blue? Of course he doesn't like her. I'll kill him if he does," Cameron answered.
The princess then told him that she was scared because of the way he looks at Olivia.
"Stop thinking about that. If you don't trust him, then break up with him. You'll just get hurt in the end."
"I'll Think about it first. I'm actually meeting him tomorrow at a nearby cafe."
"Then we'll see."
