Christmas

A week later...

"Merry Christmas, Eva," the king said as he handed her a small box.

Eleanor's eyes widened. "Your majesty, this is too much."

"It's fine. Open it."

"Your majesty, this is beautiful," Eleanor said as she slowly opened the box and saw an diamond necklace.

"Give it to me. I'll put it on for you."

"Thank you, your majesty. I love it." Eleanor smiled.

As they were having their conversation, the king noticed that Eleanor was shivering. He then asked her if she was feeling cold. Eleanor shook her head and told him that it was just windy.

Cameron knew that Eleanor was lying, so he removed his coat and put it on her. Eleanor's eyes then widened and she told him that she didn't need it.

The king laughed. "Wear it, it's an order."

"Eleanor, come inside! It's freezing out there!" a voice suddenly shouted.

"Coming, princess!" Eleanor shouted back.

Eleanor then looked back and asked, "Shall we go in together, your majesty?"

Cameron smiled. "Ladies first."

Meanwhile...

Carson looked at the woman holding a glass wine and told her that she looked beautiful. The woman then laughed and told him that he looked dashing in his suit too.

The prince asked, "Olive, Where did you get that dress?"

Olivia smiled. "Timothy gave it, your highness."

"Timothy?" Carson's smile faded away.

"Doesn't it look pretty?"

"When did you and Timothy become so close?"

"A few months ago,"

"Take it off. I'll give you a new one," Carson responded.

"Why should I?"

"I don't like seeing you wear clothes that I didn't give you."

"Your highness, it's my choice."

The prince grabbed her wrist. "Come with me and change or I don't know what'll I'll do to you."

When they arrived at the prince's room, Olivia asked him why they weren't in her room. The prince then brought out a dark purple dress and told her to wear it.

Olivia looked away. "I'm not worthy of wearing such a delicate dress."

Carson grabbed her shoulders. "You are."

"Why do you think so, your highness?"

"Because your my woman."

"Your highness..."

Carson laughed. "Soon-to-be woman."

After changing, Olivia immediately went out and informed, "I'm done!"

When the prince saw her, his eyes widened and he kissed her forehead. Olivia then glared at him and told him not to kiss her.

"How about i kiss you in this lips then?" Carson teased.

Olivia shook her heard. "Whatever."

Meanwhile...

(In the royal hall)

Kaycee looked at the woman sitting in front of her and told her that she looked beautiful. The woman then smiled and thanked her.

Kaycee asked, "Eva, How are you feeling? I heard you collapsed a few weeks ago."

Eleanor answered, "Thank you for your concern, your highness. I'm feeling great."

"Are you enjoying?"

Eleanor laughed. "Your highness, is it even necessary to ask that? Of course I am."

"What makes you happy then?" the princess asked.

"My family and friends do."

"What else?"

"What do you mean, your highness?"

"You're forgetting someone."

"Who?"

"Your fiancé!"

Eleanor stated, "I don't have one, your highness."

"Isn't it my brother?" the princess teased.

"Your highness, I wouldn't even dream of being with him. Your brother and I are just acquaintances."

"Oh really?" the princess furrowed her eyebrows.

"It's true," said Eleanor.

The princess then explained that the king isn't kind to everyone. Every year, Carson would always bring tons of girl to the castle and introduce it to him, but the girl he invited would just end up crying because Cameron was too frank and cold.

Eleanor laughed. "Your highness—"

"He's been treating you really well which means you have a special place in his heart," the princess interrupted.

"As a maid, your highness."

"As the woman he loves."

"Your highness, why don't we just enjoy the night?"

Kaycee held the glass of wine. "Cheers?"

Eleanor brought up the glass of wine in her hand. "Cheers."
