A few days later...
(At the Water kingdom)
The queen looked at the woman standing in front of her and asked her if she should just give up in waiting. The woman then told her that she must stay strong and not let anything bring her down.
Mia sighed, "Kill me, Alice. Mateo isn't coming back."
"Your majesty, that's not what I want. I won't kill you."
Mia got the sword. "If you won't kill me, then I'll just kill myself then!"
"Your majesty, please put it down!" Alice said as she tried stopping her from getting hurt.
"Let me go, Alice."
"No, your majesty."
As soon as Mia heard that, she froze. Why would someone like Alice care about her? She was just a servant, so why would she stop her? Was it just because of money? Or was it because of something else?
The queen sighed, "If you won't, then I'll kill myself!"
Before the queen was able to kill herself, the sword cut open Alice's arm. The queen's eyes then widened and saw that Alice was bleeding.
Alice took a deep breathe. "Your majesty. Don't kill yourself or I'll die with you too."
The queen held her arm. "You don't need to suffer just because of me!"
"You're my master. I should always follow you."
A few minutes later, as Mia was bandaging the wound, she apologized to Alice and told her that she didn't expect that she'd get hurt.
Alice laughed. "It's fine, your majesty."
"How can you still smile like that?"
"Your majesty, there are many hardships in life, but that's just how it is. You have to keep your head up."
"Where do you get these kinds of inspirations?"
"From my family. They are the on giving me motivation."
"Lucky you, I don't have a family."
"You do, your majesty," Alice said.
"What do you mean?" the queen asked.
"Your friends are your second family."
"You and Ruby?"
"Yes. Although, we aren't related by blood, we're always here for you."
"I guess your right."
"Your majesty, please don't ever do that again."
"I won't. I've just lost control over my emotions," Mia stated.
"That's good to hear." Alice smiled.
"Anyway, do you believe that Eleanor's alive?"
"I do believe. Why do you ask?"
"A few weeks ago, Ruby informed me that she felt the presence of the blue gem at the Fire kingdom."
"Why don't you try going to the Fire kingdom—"
Before she was able to finish her sentence, a servant came and told the queen that a man is waiting outside for her. Mia then smiled at the servant and ordered her to let him in.
When the servants brought the young man in, the queen's eyes widened. The man's face was really familiar. She didn't expect to see him after so many years.
Mia smiled. "Welcome back, Leo."
Leo, Eleanor's childhood sweetheart, was rumored to be dead around eighteen years ago. He wasn't like Eleanor who was a royalty. He was a son of a servant.
"You seem to be notorious for being really fickle." Leo laughed.
"Where have you been all these years? We thought you were dead..."
Leo then explained that what her mother told he was a lie. He and his father didn't die in a car crash. Leo's father just got sick and he wanted to leave the water kingdom. Of course, Leo has no choice but to follow him.
"Where's he now?" the queen asked.
Leo looked away. "He's gone."
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine, your majesty."
"Is there anything I can do for you?"
"My father's dying wish was for me to go back to the Water kingdom."
"Do you plan to stay here?"
"If it's okay with you, your majesty."
"I'll make you prince then."
"Your majesty, I'll just be a—"
"I'm making you a prince. You've been really loyal to us," Mia interrupted.
"Thank you, your majesty. It's an honor."
"Do you still remember Eleanor?" the queen suddenly asked.
Leo replied, "Yes, I do."
"She's missing," the queen sighed.
"I know."
Mia then told him that a few years ago, Eleanor was depressed after hearing his death.
Leo stood up straight. "I'll help you find her."
"Why?"
Leo smiled. "She's my long lost sweetheart. Don't you remember?"
