Next Step

(At the Fire kingdom)

"I knew it. They're at the Water kingdom," said Carson.

Cameron punched the wall. "They found the tracker."

"How will we able to make sure that they're still there then?"

"Olive has one too, remember?"

"You're pretty smart."

"I've always been."

"Now that we know that they're at the Water kingdom, what's the next move?" Carson asked.

The king then told him that he needed to practice his sword fighting skills since they would be applying as soldiers at the Water kingdom.

The prince put his hands on his mouth. "That's utterly ridiculous."

"It will just be the two of us. We won't be bringing Kaycee."

"Why not?"

"We need someone to rule the kingdom while we're away."

The prince then asked what will happen if they figure out that they've left the castle. The king smiled and told him that he didn't need to think about it because it wouldn't happen.

"Cam, I don't think she'll agree to being left behind," Carson assumed.

Cameron leaned back on his chair. "She has no choice. I'm the king."

"Don't you feel any sadness? Eva and Olive?"

Cameron looked at the newspaper he was holding. "We'll that's just life. Unexpected people betray you."

"They must've had a reason for this."

"A pointless one."

"Whatever the reason is, I'll just pretend that I never knew about this."

"After all they've done you still like Olive?"

"What's wrong? Am I not allowed to love?"

The king then told him that he developed feelings for the wrong person. The prince looked at him and smiled. "We'll that's love. You love them for whatever they are."

The king rolled his eyes. "How dull."

"You just don't understand the true meaning of love."

"Whatever. I don't need love in my life."

Meanwhile...

(At the royal garden)

"I can't believe it," Adam said.

Kaycee responded, "I never knew that it would be them."

"Olive and Eva must've felt guilty too."

"Just thinking about it makes me wanna cry."

Adam pulled her into a hug. "Don't worry, I'm here."

"How's your investigation by the way?" the princess suddenly asked.

"I only know that Cole worked for a man name Jack."

"Do you suspect him?"

"I do."

"We'll get to the bottom of this, but for now we have to be aware of our surroundings," the princess said.

(At an unknown place)

"You must be kidding right?" Jack asked.

Licia grabbed the mop and started cleaning the floor. "So what?"

"Do you think that you'll be able to do it all by yourself?"

"I'll ask sir."

Jack laughed. "He isn't even—"

Before Jack could continue, a voice interrupted, "Jack, where's the boy?"

"What about him?" Jack responded.

"I need him."

"Jay, you don't need to worry because he's finishing his job right now." Jack smiled.

Jay then asked when he let him go. Jack patted his shoulder and told him that he's doing well, so it was unnecessary to tell him everything.

Licia interrupted, "You mean that boy you found dead a few months ago?"

Jack smiled. "Yes, he's quite obedient."

Licia stopped cleaning to look at him. "How did you bring him back to life?"

"No idea. It was sir who did it."

"He'll only last for around a year. The spell doesn't work on everyone."

"A year will be enough. We'll have both the red and blue gem by then."

"Isn't the blue gem in the princess's heart?" Licia asked.

Jay nodded. "Yes, but how do we get the blue gem then?"

Jack slipped his fingers around the sword. "We kill the princess."

"If we kill her, then the blue gem will die with her too," said Licia.

Jack then told her that all they had to do was just combine the blue and red gem. After that, she'll be the most powerful being in this world.

"Which means?" Licia asked.

"We brainwash her," Jack answered as he looked at Jay.

Jay took a few steps back. "I can't do that."

Licia responded, "You have to. It's our only hope."

"No one can do that."

"What do you mean?"

Jack then warned them that once the princess becomes the most powerful being in the entire world, she could destroy every single human being alive which means that if she can't control her powers, then the blue and red gem will control her making the whole world suffer.

Jack stood up and sighed, "I guess that makes sense."

Licia asked, "What do we do—"

Before Licia was able to finish, a man came in and asked, "Are you planning without me?"

Jay looked at the man and bowed. "Welcome back, sir."
