Hurt

Three days later...

(At the Water kingdom)

"Let's play a game," said Mateo.

"What game?" Leo asked.

"Truth or dare."

Eleanor rolled her eyes. "I've played that with the princess already."

Mateo glared. "No one's backing out."

Leo smiled. "Truth or—"

Before he was able to finish, Alice suddenly knocked and the door and informed the king that the queen needed to have a word with him. When the king left, Eleanor and Leo were the only ones left in the room.

Leo sat beside Eleanor. "Are you still thinking about that incident?"

Eleanor looked away. "Don't bring it up."

Leo patted her shoulder. "Look, I know that what I did was wrong, but you can't just stay upset about it."

"Why can't I?" the princess folded her arms.

"You're just—"

"Enough. I can't stay in the same room as you. It's just unbearable," Eleanor interrupted.

Leo sighed, "We've been best friends since we were six."

The princess started walking away. "So? It's different now."

"Stop, Eleanor."

Eleanor laughed. "Why? Are you just afraid that—"

Without letting her finish her sentence, Leo grabbed her wrist and asked her why she couldn't forgive him. Eleanor then told him to let go of her.

Leo shook his head. "Not today."

The princess asked, "Who are you to touch me without my consent?"

"Your future lover."

"It's not funny."

"I'm serious."

Eleanor laughed. "You expect me to believe you again?"

"Eleanor, I really like you," Leo replied.

"Keep joking, I won't play with you."

"I'm not joking, Eleanor."

"What makes you think I'll believe you?"

"This," Leo said as he kissed her cheek.

"Let go," the princess demanded.

"Why? Didn't I already show you how I feel?"

"I said let go!"

When Leo loosened his grip, Eleanor instantly ran back to her room.

Leo mumbled, "You don't seem to like me back, Eleanor."

Meanwhile...

(In the royal hall)

The king asked Mia why she needed him. The queen then told him that she just wanted to give Eleanor and Leo some time alone.

The queen stood up. "I know that Leo likes Eleanor."

"That's great!"

"Eleanor likes another guy, Cameron."

"You mean that handsome cold king?"

Mia nodded. "She has a pretty bad taste."

Mateo smirked. "So what are you trying to tell me?"

"I don't want Leo to force her," the queen replied.

"In what?"

"In a relationship. Leo seems obsessed with her."

The king corrected, "He is."

The queen then explained that she didn't like Leo for Eleanor because it's been years. He might've changed and they didn't know if he still is the same old Leo they all knew.

"You aren't wrong, but don't you trust him?"

"I dont wanna lie, but I actually don't. Mateo, he's not the old Leo we all knew back then."

"He looks fine."

"I don't want to decide for Eleanor, but if she's gonna pick Leo, I'll have to object."

Mateo then assumed that Leo came to the Water kingdom not because he wanted to go back to the way things used to be, but to get something.

Mia said, "I'm actually now assured that Eleanor's back, but I'm worried that—"

Before the queen was able to continue, a woman came and told that they might have to delay the revival.

"Why? Hasn't Eleanor rested?" the king asked.

"Your majesty, she shouldn't be thinking about anything," the woman answered.

"Olivia, what do you mean?" the queen took a few steps closer.

"She's thinking about Leo isn't it?" Olivia asked.

"You're not wrong."

"She needs to clear her mind first, your majesties."

"But we need to combine the gems as soon as possible."

"Your majesty, the princess's life is more important."

"How long will we have to wait then?" Mateo asked.

Olivia bowed. "It depends on her, your majesty."
