I’ll Marry Him

(At the Earth kingdom)

"You're willing to be with him?" Antonio stood up from his chair.

"If that's what makes mother happy, then I'll do it," Lucy responded.

Antonio then told his sister that she didn't need to force herself, but Lucy insisted to marry another man since she didn't love Josh anymore.

"Why not?"

"I don't actually know."

"Marrying him wouldn't ease the pain in your heart."

As soon as Lucy heard that, her eyes widened. She knew that her brother was right. Marrying another man would just make everything worse, so why wouldn't she listen to him?

"What are you talking about?" Lucy laughed.

Antonio reminded, "Mark has feelings too, Lucy."

"I'm going to love him with all my heart."

"I'm sure that you still like Josh."

"I don't."

Antonio then sighed and explained that Josh and Charlotte aren't together and that she misunderstood him.

Lucy folded her arms. "That has nothing to do with the marriage."

"Then what?" Antonio asked.

"I'll talk to Mark about this."

A few minutes later...

(In the royal hall)

Mark told the princess that it was better if she talked to Josh, but the princess didn't want to. Mark then told her that she'd regret it.

Lucy asked, "Why are you even telling me this? Didn't you say that you liked me before?"

"That's right, but I can see that Josh treats you differently."

"He has Charlotte."

"How many times does he have to say that they aren't together? Didn't he already confess to you?" Mark asked.

The princess then told him that she rejected him because she didn't love him anymore.

Mark sighed, "Look, I'm not marrying you."

Lucy glared. "Why not?"

"Like I said, Josh loves you."

"Here's your chance to be with me! Why not take the opportunity?"

Mark then explained that even if they did get married, there's no love in it because he knew that deep inside, she loved Josh.

Lucy folded her arms. "Stop making excuses, Mark."

Mark punched the wall. "Do you know that Josh has been down lately? He's been thinking about you all day!"

The princess laughed. "So?"

"That's it? Are you just not going to care?"

"Like I said, he needs to get over it like how I got over Mateo."

"Marriage isn't a joke, Lucy."

"I'm not taking it as one."

Mark clenched his fist. "One day, you'll regret everything you did to lose him."

"Whatever."

Mark then told her that he isn't gonna marry her no matter what she says. He'll only be there if she needs someone to talk to.

The princess laughed. "You must be out of your mind."

"Josh told me that he did like you before you even met him."

"I don't care."

"Now I know why Mateo didn't like you back no matter what you did. You're just an apathetic woman," Mark said as he started walking away.

(At an unknown place)

"Sir, you look exhausted," Jay began.

"I'm just worried that he might fail," the man answered.

"Sir, it's been—"

Without letting him finish, a man came and interrupted, "It's my first time seeing you, sir."

The man then looked at Jack and asked if something was in his face.

"No, it's just my first time seeing you without a mask. We usually just hear your voice," Jack explained.

The man changed the topic. "How's the boy?"

"He's doing his job well."

The man asked why he let him go without even waiting for him to come back. Jack then smiled and told him that the sooner, the better.

"Licia, what about the gems?" the man asked.

Licia answered, "The blue gem is in princess Eleanor, sir."

"What about the Fire kingdom?"

"Princess Kaycee was left to be in charge of everything."

"Sir, when will we be able to get out of here?" Jack asked.

"This place is fine," the man stated.

"It's really creepy."

"What's wrong with Pali village?" Licia asked.

"You're village is one of the worst villages I've ever been to," Jack answered.

"Jack, it's not about the village. We need to stay in a place where not much people know about," Jay said.

"I thought we'll be showing up already," Jack responded.

"We'll wait," the man said.

"For what?"

"For the gem's to be merged in to one."

"What about it?" Licia asked.

The man then explained that once it merges in Eleanor's heart, all they'll have to do is to change her perspective. After that, they'll have the most powerful being in the entire world and be able to achieve their most long awaited goal.
