My Trust

"That's impossible," said Olivia.

Adam responded, "He hasn't even identified who the killer is. Who knows? He might actually have the power."

"When did this happen?" Eleanor asked.

Adam answered, "A few weeks ago..."

"And you just told me now?"

"I had to find a perfect time to tell you."

"What do we do now?" the king asked.

Adam replied, "We can't do anything. They're gone, they aren't coming back."

"We must find the killer!" Eleanor shouted.

The queen then hugged her sister and asked her to calm down, but Eleanor was still in great pain. Her best friend was murdered and all she wanted now was justice.

The princess sighed, "Mia, you know how much Aviana means to me. She's my best friend."

Mateo said, "We can't do anything about it, Eleanor. It already happened."

"Like I said, we need to get justice for their death."

"I suggest you don't," Adam sighed. "We have a tough opponent."

Eleanor furrowed her eyebrows. "Don't tell me what to do."

A few hours later...

(At the royal hall)

Leo looked at the woman crying in front of him and told her that he heard that Aviana has passed away. The woman then nodded as she started crying even louder.

Leo pulled her into a hug and comforted, " Eleanor, don't worry, we'll get to the bottom of this."

"Thank you for—"

Before she was able to continue, a man suddenly came and said, "Let her go."

Leo looked at the man. "What are you doing here, Cameron?"

Cameron smiled. "I've come to get Princess Eleanor."

"Why? Can't you see that we aren't finished?"

"So? It's none of my business whether you're finished or not. The queen has requested for her presence."

"Leo, I need to go." Eleanor smiled.

Leo then loosened his grip and said, "We'll talk in another time."

(In Eleanor's bedroom)

Eleanor folded her arms as she looked at Cameron. She then asked him why he lied that her sister was looking for her.

Cameron sighed, "Don't you remember our deal?"

Eleanor scratched her head. "You came at the wrong time."

"Are you saying that I should've have interrupted your conversation with him?"

"Don't twist my words. I was just in a terrible mood and I'm sure you've heard that Aviana has died," the princess responded.

"I'm not here to comfort you."

"You!"

"Im here for something else," Cameron said. "To return the red gem."

"Why are you returning it to me? Shouldn't you be happy that the red gem is already in your hands?" the princess asked.

Cameron then apologized and told her that he should've let her give it to him willingly.

"Am I dreaming? The king of the Fire kingdom? Apologizing to me?"

"Do you want it or not?"

Eleanor looked away. "I do, thank you."

Meanwhile...

(At the royal garden)

"Why did you call me out?" Carson asked.

"I wanted to ask you a question," Olivia answered. "Do you think that I'm the culprit?"

"I don't. I trust you."

"Thanks," Olivia said as tears started falling from her eyes.

"Why are you crying?"

"Leo still won't stop suspecting me."

Carson then pulled her into a hug and told her that they'll prove her innocence.

"Why do you trust me so much...?"

"Is there a reason not to?"

"Then why do you keep siding with me?"

Carson responded, "If you love someone, love them for what they are, not who you hope they'll be."

"What makes you think I'll love you the same way you loved me?"

"It doesn't matter. What I want the most is to make you happy."

Olivia asked, "Then are you willing to wait for me...?"

"Of course. I've been waiting since day one," Carson said.

Olivia hugged him back. "Then you aren't allowed to love someone else."

"Of course I won't. I'm a changed man, Olivia."
