Approval

A week later...

Mia asked Cameron if he and Eleanor was sure that they wanted to get married. Cameron then nodded and asked her if she trusted him with her sister.

The queen scratched her head. "It's not that I'm disapproving, but I'm concerned about her future. I'll have no idea what'll happen when she's with you."

"That's why I'm asking for your approval. I want you to tell me honestly what you feel about our marriage."

"Why does it have to be you? Why didn't Eleanor be the one to ask?"

"She'll be the one talking to my brother about it."

Mia folded her arms. "When do you plan to have the marriage then?"

Cameron looked at the window beside him. "A month from now."

"A month? Are you out of your mind?" Mia shouted.

"What's the problem with that? Everything will be prepared by then."

"If your asking for my sister's hand in marriage, then this means that she'll be the future queen of the Fire kingdom. Do you think that she'll survive?"

"King Antonio rules two kingdoms, so I think it's possible."

"If you're really eager to marry her, then I'll ask you one question," Mia said. "Can you promise me not to hurt her?"

Cameron then assured that he won't ever break Eleanor's heart and that he'd protect and love her for the rest of his life.

Mia took a sip of her tea. "I want my sister to live a harmonious life, so I guess I can't object then. I agree, Cameron."

Cameron immediately got up from his chair and bowed down. "Thank you, Queen Mia."

"I'll inform Mateo about this, so I hope that you wouldn't make me regret my decision, Cameron."

Meanwhile...

(At the royal garden)

"You're getting married?" Olivia yelled in astonishment.

"He asked you to marry him, and you actually agreed?" Carson said.

"Do you guys have any objection?" Eleanor asked.

"Of course we don't! We're happy for you two!" Olivia said before turning to look at Carson.

The princess put her hands on her waist. "You two seem like you're hiding something from me, and I'd like to know what that is."

Olivia smiled. "Your highness, we're just being—"

Without letting her finish her sentence, Carson instantly put his hand on Olivia's mouth. He then smiled and told her that he and Olivia were planning to hold a wedding soon, but seems like they couldn't anymore.

"Why don't we just have it at the same time?" Eleanor asked.

Olivia then removed Carson's hand from her mouth. "I don't think King Cameron would like that."

"You can tell me anything. It's quite understandable if you both are afraid of him."

"It's nothing. We're just—"

"Your highness, King Mateo would like to have a word with you," Alice came and interrupted.

"I'll meet him in a minute," the princess responded.

(In the dining hall)

"I need to ask you a question," Mateo said as he looked at the woman eating in front of him.

The woman sighed, "Get straight to the point."

"Eleanor, Mia's about to give birth in a few months. What should I do...?"

The princess looked at him. "Why are you asking me that? Do I have a child?"

Mateo sank into his chair. "She needs to refrain from worrying. It'll affect her health if she continues to be like this."

"Well, you should try talking to her more often. It'll make her feel more comfortable around you."

Mateo looked at his food. "She likes keeping things to herself."

Eleanor then told him that she wasn't the best at giving advices, but the best thing he could do was to be there for Mia.

"I always am."

Eleanor folded her arms. "That's all I could say. If there's nothing else, I'll be—"

"Wait! Are you sure about it...?" Mateo shouted.

"I can't say it applies to her, but it applies to most women, Mateo. I've given you enough advice, I'll be heading back now." the princess said as she stood up from her chair, and started walking away.
