A month later...
(At the Fire kingdom)
"I'll let them adjust the bed," Cameron said as he looked at the woman standing in front of him.
"Are-Are we going to sleep together?" Eleanor asked.
"What kind of married couple doesn't sleep on the same bed?"
"But we just got married a few days ago. Don't you think this is all going too fast?"
Cameron grabbed her waist. "I've seen everything anyway. Why are you still shy?"
Eleanor looked away. "Who's being shy? I was just asking!"
"You are now the queen of the Fire kingdom, so you are suppose to sleep with me."
Eleanor then told him that there wasn't any difference if they slept in the same bed or not since they'll still be staying at the castle.
"The feeling is different, Eleanor. I want to wake up seeing your face everyday. That day where I first spent the night at your room, it was truly unforgettable."
Eleanor's face reddened. "I look hideous in the morning."
Cameron kissed her cheek. "You'll always be beautiful in my eyes."
"Saying that won't make any difference."
"How about now then?" Cameron said as he lifted her by the waist.
"What are you doing? We're in the royal hall! What if someone sees us?"
"Why do you care about what'd they think? We're already married."
"We-We aren't suppose to do these kinds of things in public."
Cameron smirked. "Your tempting me, my dear wife."
He then lifted her higher, kicked the bedroom door open, and gently brushed his lips against hers. As soon as his lips covered hers, she snaked her arms around his neck and wrapped her legs around his torso. He then deepened the kiss, pulling her closer.
"Wait! The door... It's open," Eleanor said breathing heavily.
"I don't mind," Cameron responded before claiming her mouth again and again.
Eleanor broke the kiss. "Some-Someone might see us."
"I'll close it for you then." Cameron locked the bedroom door.
He then brought Eleanor to the bed and started unbuttoning his clothes.
"You can't stop me tonight, my love," Cameron said with his lips close to hers, and kissed her again.
Meanwhile...
(In the royal hall)
"I guess they've been having a great time," Kaycee began.
"Don't you think we should too?" Adam asked.
Kaycee hugged herself. "What-What are you talking about?"
"I'm just kidding." Adam laughed.
The princess sighed, "Adam, I don't plan to get married anytime soon."
"I don't want to force it on you, so take your time."
"What if I say that—"
"No matter how long you take to decide, I'll always wait for you. We still have a lot of time to think about it."
Kaycee looked away. "It's not that... What if my brother disapproves?"
Adam then pulled her into a hug and told her that he'll prove to her brother that he truly loved her. All these years, her brothers doubted him, but he never lost hope in gaining their trust. Adam understood that it was quite difficult to trust a commoner, but he still tried to show her brothers that his feelings for her were genuine.
Kaycee sighed, "My brothers have been really overprotective of me ever since my mother passed away. They wouldn't let me go on a single date with anyone, and so we hid our relationship. But I want to prove to them now that I have the right to love. They can't just marry me off to someone else."
"I don't want to ruin you and your brother's relationship. If they really—"
The princess hugged him tight. "I'm willing to elope with you. I'll give everything up just to be with you."
"You know that isn't right."
"My brothers have already approved of our relationship, but I never actually asked them about marriage."
"This must be a sensitive topic to them because they aren't ready to let you go yet."
Kaycee asked, "Why do you keep on thinking about what'd my brothers would say?"
"They entrusted me with you, and it's my job to protect you. Once you get hurt, they'll probably force you to cut your ties with me," Adam explained.
"I won't allow them to."
"Your brother is the king, we'll have no choice, but to obey him."
"Adam, all these things we're talking about, I don't want you to worry about it. I can persuade my brothers."
"You're a woman, and yet you're the one doing a lot of work?"
Kaycee smiled. "I don't mind. I should get used to it soon."
Adam put his arms on the back of her head and kissed her lips. "I love you. Don't make me worry about you okay?"
The princess wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled. "I won't."
