Charlotte happily leads Ambrose out of the library as they head further away.
While on their way, Little_Blue pops its head out of Ambrose's chest pocket again.
"No way, I'm not letting you do anything stupid for a second time," Ambrose whispers and forcefully shoves the creature back in. Thankfully, this time, it complied.
They got to their destination a few minutes later...
"Here," Charlotte opens the door and permits Ambrose to come in.
Unlike the other library, this one is a lot smaller. The shelf is arranged accordingly. Some books explain the history and concepts of magic, a lot of those in which Ambrose has zero interest.
"Do you have books that explain how to construct sealing gates?" Ambrose asked.
"Sealing Gates?!" Charlotte sounded surprised. "That's a whole different technique,"
"I'm guessing you don't have it,"
"No, why do you need it?" she asked.
"It's a long story," Ambrose awkwardly says.
"... right," says Charlotte.
Whenever a person says; 'it's a long story', it just simply means they do not want to tell you, and Charlotte knows that for a fact.
Seal Gates is a highly valued technique and a very difficult one to learn. The word "Gate" is added due to the multiple layers at which the sealing spells are created. This makes it a very difficult technique to break, unlike other normal seals.
The more valuable spells or techniques proved to be, the rarer they become. But of course, Ambrose doesn't know this.
"We do have other seal spell techniques that can be of good use to you, some of which I've gotten pretty good at executing,"
Charlotte walks over to a certain sector in the archive, "Most of the books in this section are centered mostly on the use of seal techniques, you will find them quite interesting, and if you wish, I'll be glad to teach you some of the Class B sealing spell I've grasped."
Ambrose has never seen so many magic instructional books all at once until now. These guys have so many of it here. How lucky.
Without a word, Ambrose walks over and randomly picks one of them.
"Thank you," he said. "You have no idea how important this is to me,"
"Glad to help," Charlotte replied with a blush, what a sweet girl... *cough* I wasn't supposed to write that, pretend you never read it.
"I'll be at the other library if you need my help," Charlotte lastly said before leaving. She could guess Ambrose needs alone time and gave that to him.
Ambrose walks over to a desk where he plans to go through the magic book, hoping to see a sealing technique that would be at least good enough to help him keep his dark mana in check.
Finding a suitable spell is a lot harder than it sounds. For minutes, Ambrose had to occasionally go to the archive to return and pick something else. At some point, he carried multiple books at the same time to make it easier so he wouldn't have to keep moving too often.
Finally, there it is, something that could be of help. This is a sealing technique called Rejuvenation Seal or Juvy Seal.
This is a seal that occasionally has to feed on its user's spiritual energy to keep its quality intact, and the more energy it consumes, the stronger the seal will be.
"This should do," Ambrose mutters and walks towards an isolated area in the room and sit on the floor with crossed legs. He activates his mana zone, which was enough to cover the entire room and extends a few distances just outside the library. He did this while he dives into his inner consciousness.
Mana zone has many functions and one of them is exactly what Ambrose is utilizing. This is what mages refer to as Environmental Awareness or Mana Sense. This is one of the major reasons the name; 'Zone' was added to it.
Environmental Awareness is a common ability that helps mages discern what's around them in a limited area without having to use their eyes. With this ability, a mage doesn't have a blind spot. Some mages can hide their presence, which is very problematic, however, even this doesn't stand a chance when mana sense is activated, cus this will detect their presence no matter what they do.
Ambrose is using this ability since he temporarily cannot receive any information from his surrounding, he'll need to prevent any vulnerability as much as possible.
Creating the sealing spell is a little complicating but not very hard. To execute this sealing technique, he will have to pull energy from a magical realm, specifically the blue realm, and instructions on how to do this is written in the book.
Waving a hand sign, a blue magical circle appeared with an imitated version of it appearing very close to the terrifying dark realm within his mana box. Enchanting a magical word, he drew the right amount of energy and created a magical sealing box with his dark realm trapped inside. And finally, after completing the first step, he made a hand_sign once again, and a strange written figure materialized and stick to the blue magical seal entrapping his dark mana. This effectively seals every negative aura emitted by it.
Ambrose felt his power reduce noticeably due to sealing one of his mana sources. This is a necessity, so he wasn't bothered by this. Most of his destructive physical strength results from the overwhelming dark power running through his veins. It's too bad he won't be able to display such massive physical powers again, so long as his dark realm remains sealed.
Once he can properly cultivate KI, he should be able to do amazing things without fear of destroying everything with his punch.
With a satisfied countenance, Ambrose opens his eyes, "That wasn't so hard," he said.
However, sealing his dark mana is an uncommon situation on its own. It wasn't pleased with being caged, and that got it pissed. In the next second, it shredded the sealing technique that's entrapping it and consumes it, setting itself free.
"Damn it, it's not working," Ambrose cursed.
It seems he may need to draw mana from a different realm, since the blue realm's sealing capacity doesn't stand a chance against a devouring mana source like his dark realm. Well, yeah, except, he doesn't know how to do that and there are no instructions concerning this in the magic book.
[sigh]
Too many failures are weighing on the poor little kid, but he is not giving up just yet. One way or the other, Ambrose is going to block his dark mana's aura. On that note, he copied the instructions from the magic book on the note in the library since he will very much be needing it once he figures out how to pull energy from a reliable realm to seal his dark mana source.
Not giving up on his quest, Ambrose spent almost an hour searching for at least a clue on how to use dark energy, a more suitable realm to seal his dark mana. However, while he hasn't found the instructions he needs, he at least learned a few other useful techniques, all of which he wrote for later use.
Charlotte's last sentence to him before she left him alone suddenly came to his head. Of course, she may have an idea how to execute the magical technique he's been wasting his time searching for.
With that in mind, Ambrose carefully walks out of the library, that's after confirming that there is no sign of life anywhere close, especially those cooks who were after his helpless pet.
Entering the other library, he, of course, found Charlotte, but this time, there was an older man with her. He seems to be educating her. Ambrose guessed this based on the adult's demeanor as a scholar, so this is probably a bad time.
While about to quietly leave the room so as not to cause any disturbance, Charlotte caught sight of him immediately, and she could tell he needed her help.
"Can we end the lecture for today?" she quickly interrupted her educator.
"No, we can't," he said. "You should start taking your studies seriously," he added.
"That wasn't exactly a request," Charlotte said as she stands on her feet. She wasn't interested in whatever he is teaching her.
"Wait_ hold on_" the lecturer tried to persuade her.
"You should go lecture Ella now that you are free to do so," Charlotte said before exiting the room.
"..." The lecturer was left speechless...
. . .
"Hey," Charlotte called out to Ambrose.
"Are you done?" he asked.
"Yeah, something like that," Charlotte replied. "Need help with something?"
"Indeed, I do," says Ambrose as he explained what he is trying to achieve, except for the part where he tried to seal his dark mana. That's a secret he can't trust anyone with, not even his family.
Returning to the other library, Charlotte walks over to a specific part of the shelf and pulls out a magic book...
"This was given to me specifically," she said, "It contains knowledge and instructions that are necessary for Forge Mastery, some of which involves how to lend energy from both blue and dark realm,"
