...

The senior and junior executives gathered inside the main assembly hall. All clothed in their white dress shirts that were covered by black suits pinned with blue brooches.

Excluding three area-group leaders who were yet to receive the same brooches: Ji Ae Chan, Hwang Bo Bae, and Park Wonho.

After one matched toward the table, four entered after two, sixteen followed as eight came in.

A moment later, people filled the room. It seemed spacious to others but felt cramped to some.

With nine chairs awaiting, they occupied every seat except one. The eight board of directors of the mafia organization brought along their trusted men behind them.

None wanted to create a noise. Most knew that when the action started, the commotion would only multiply after beginning.

But not all knew this simple logic and common sense, hence one of the eight began, "I thought you won't come. Ain't you busy with the cleaning, old hag?"

"Who are ya calling old hag? We got half of the old hags present here, ya know," questioned another person of the eight.

"No, Dakho, not them. I'm talking to Bo Bae."

"That's Mrs. Hwang Bo Bae for you, Ji Jaehwa. Use honorifics when you're talking to me, motherfucker," the president of the cleaning service hissed toward the rude youngster.

"Hey, cock sucker. What do you mean half of us are old hags?" Hwang Joon butted in.

"Y'all know I'm just spilling the truth, Mr. Hwang," Hyo Dakho countered.

"What's with these rude youngsters? I'm so done with dealing with your spoiled asses," Hwang Joon fought as he shook his head in disappointment.

"I'm also done with you guys walking like y'all need a turbo, old hags." Hyo Dakho's statement only raised the tension.

While the four of the eight were yelling back to back, the other side of the table simply shook their heads. They could only wish that none of them would pull out a gun and shoot someone.

"Oh, dear God, it's starting. They're at it, again. When is this going to stop?" Ji Ae Chan could only mumble in dismay. She ran her hands over her face and sighed sharply.

In front of her sat Geum Il Hwa. He spoke despite the chaos and stated, "When is the Boss coming? My ears are bleeding 'cause of these fucking voices."

"Oh, Il Hwa. Why don't you shut up, you cock licker—"

Click, cried the gun that Geum Il Hwa pulled out from his pocket. In the stimulated second, Ji Jaehwa, the one who gave the comment, also flashed his gun and pointed it to Geum Il Hwa.

'I just wanna go home and have a peaceful date with my wines and cigarettes,' Park Wonho spoke to himself. He regretted coming by the time he rode his car that was heading toward the meeting.

When Park Wonho peeked behind him, he witnessed Kim Dong and Ban Seo were currently enjoying the show unfolding inside the main assembly room. 'These idiots.'

"Can someone do me a favor and call the Boss? Ask him when is he—"

"No need, Ms. Ji," chirped the familiar voice that halted the people from the chaos taking place — and perhaps before someone died within the tension that was rising in an alarming state.

"Hah, thankfully."

She brought a hand to her chest and sighed in relief. Ji Ae Chan could not hide the delight on her face as soon as she heard the voice from the entrance.

"Good evening, Boss!"

They stood in their seats and bowed. All simultaneously chanted when the big personality appeared in front of everyone.

The young boss of the Ryeom family stood before the table which was occupied by his eight trusted people. Not only that, he looked so identical to the previous boss of the family, but he inherited the ex-boss' loose screw as well.

"Evening," he frugally greeted back. As the boss sank his ass on his chair, it was only the time the eight trusted people returned to their seats. "Does anyone have a report of Young Mirae's whereabouts?" he brought the question.

Park Wonho and the others drowned in their saliva. Each of them did not want to take the place to tell the boss that none saw a shadow of the runaway heiress.

"Ah, uncle. Is your hand okay?" When the boss asked the underboss this, all gulped again in the coordinated moment. They remained quiet, like a sleeping oil on a bottle.

"Are we all going to lose a finger, tonight?" Ji Ae Chan sneakily whispered to Park Wonho sitting beside her, but he ignored her.

Ryeom Seung, the boss and the nephew who would not hesitate to smash his uncle's finger if he made a mistake. Not even batting an eye; he only cared if his slaves carried his orders properly.

"Or someone might lose a neck," Hwang Joon replied to Ji Ae Chan instead.

The young boss tapped his fingers down on the table. He was waiting for an answer from his uncle, the underboss. But he got bored, hence he changed his question.

"Has anyone seen some rats lately? I heard about some visiting Suwon where Young Soojin's mansion was located, am I right? Who was around that time?"

To contribute to the matter, Park Wonho, Geum Il Hwa, and Ji Ae Chan quietly raised their hands at once. Ryeom Seung ordered them to survey around the outskirts of Suwon, but none seemed to give a report or see a single soul of the runaway heiress.

The area-group leaders monitoring Uiwang and Gunpo were Ji Jaehwa and Hyo Dakho. Hwang Bo Bae and Ryeom Doh were stationed in Bucheon. Hwang Joon, however, managed Seongnam.

Park Wonho and Geum Il Hwa handled the streets of Anyang. But from being assigned in Anyang, they also had to help Ji Aechan's team in Suwon.

Although they searched together, none could see a woman similar to the features of the Young family's heiress. Miraculously.

The Boss guarded Gwangmyeong as their prime territory. They all had to drive to meet there.

"And you let the rats from Seoul pass through Uiwang, Ji Jaehwa?"

"It's hardly possible, Boss. My men are keen to let no enemy enter my area. All the lane routes the Lee family can access are highly guarded. No one can sneak from me," Ji Jaehwa, the one tasked to guard Uiwang, inferred.

After conducting his reasoning, Ji Jaehwa pointed out, "What about Seongnam? The Lee rats could have gone over there, sneaked from the Hwang Joon's eyes, and went to Suwon."

"No, Hwang Joon and I, we switched places. I'm the one guarding Seongnam now," butted the underboss in the conversation.

"Aha, right, they slipped while you guys were shifting!" exclaimed Ji Jaehwa. "You fucking sagged idiots, I knew you'll bring a problem someday—"

Before the heat could rise again, the boss corrected Ji Jaehwa by saying, "I ordered them to. If they didn't sneak in, they could have taken a long route to avoid us."

"Oh, you're right, Boss." Ji Jaehwa could only shut his lousy mouth and accept. Even if he wanted to ask the reason, he was not an idiot to doubt the boss of his decisions. He could die if he tried to do so!

"I also called a meeting 'cause I received a telegram from our spy. Lee Shin will host a birthday party for his daughter, Lee Hae, in the next two weeks," the young boss of the Ryeom family began.

Gesturing Im Gunho, the person standing behind him. The young boss received a folder and slid that to the underboss. The underboss read it before passing the folder to the other person. The folder circled around the trusted eight.

"If you still can't give me Young Mirae's dead body by then. I am going to look forward to Lee Hae's," the young boss grumbled in his seat. "This shall serve as a warning to Lee Shin for sneaking to our territory. Do not disappoint me further, my trusted seven."

"Achoo!" Young Mirae halted from sweeping the marble floor of the Grand Dog's condominium. She felt a tingle in her nose and the urge to sneeze. Sniffing as she wiped her nose, she spoke, "Is someone talking behind my back?"
