Opinion

"Why do you want to be in mafia? Do you even know it is rather easier to get into mafia than getting out of it?" James seriously asked Joshua.

"Yes, I know, I have no intentions of getting out of it" Joshua confidently answered.

"Why mafia?"

"Because it interests me"

James wanted to smack the young man sitting across him, he was still not answering his question directly.

Dan knew how little patience James had and Joshua was provoking the guy so he decided to interrupt their conversation, "Joshua is very skilled at combat and they way he hid himself and got hold of those diamonds it indicates he is smart at planning too, we went to his house to get his belongings and it was in a very poor condition, he is also an orphan we all think he wants to join mafia to improve his financial status and live a life with dignity." Dan explained his perspective on behalf of Joshua to which Carl and Vic agreed to.

"Not all, I don't have the same opinion as Carl." Amara voiced her opinion.

"Yeah, neither do I" Jim too added, when Dan explained it Jim didn't agree but he did not have the courage to say so but as soon as Amara said the same thing as what he believes he felt more courageous and voiced his opinion too.

"So, what do you think?" James turned his attention to Jim first.

"There is something fishy about this guy, I feel he has ulterior motives to join us" Jim honestly shared his opinion. Carl and Vic looked at each other and shook their heads, this guy would never change, they thought.

"And boss what do you think?" James asked Amara.

"Similar to what Jim thinks" Amara didn't elaborate much of her thought process.

Jim felt very happy that boss has the same opinion as him.

Joshua was unaffected when Jim voiced his thoughts but when Amara said the same thing, he got worried, although he seemed indifferent, but he was actually scared.

"So, Joshua do you have anything to say to change Jim and boss' opinion?" James gave an opportunity to him to reason out and this way he too could understand the guy better, it was a win-win situation for James.

"It is their opinion which I respect and I have nothing to say, if I'll try to justify myself or will try to convince them to change their impression of me then their current opinion of me will only go deeper and they will be more convinced something is fishy with me, to be honest I am not even sure what did I do to give them such an impression of me, since I don't know why they think of me like this then I can't give a justification" Joshua decided to approach Jim and Amara this way instead of begging them to trust him.
