MARGAUX

I almost can't remember when was the last time that I had step foot in someone else's house. I had always considered being invited to the home as a sign of trust. I guess it was safe to say that after what had happened tonight, I wanted to trust Kevin.

Their house was cozy. There were photos lining on the wall. I tried not to appear a little eager in wanting to see the pictures. Some of them were that of the little version of Kevin.

However, it proved to be difficult to resist. It was when I had come across an intriguing photo hanging near the staircase.

I walked closer while Kevin disappeared towards the kitchen. In the photo, Kevin was smiling broadly, his right hand was raised in a salute right by his forehead. Standing on his right was his mother. On his left was his father who was wearing a police uniform.
