(Alex's P.O.V)

The sound of my alarm woke me up from my sweet slumber."Ughhhhh.Not right now."I groaned since I was dreaming of Nick who was almost gonna kiss me and that stupid alarm of mine had to go off right then.Yes,I know I am being delusional,but what can I do i'd be overjoyed,if I can at lest kiss him in my dreams.

"Get up Alex,It's time"I remind myself dragging myself to the bathroom for a shower.After I was done,I decided to change into a grey off-shoulder top and some high waisted jeans.

I applied some mascara and lip gloss.Once,I was convinced that I looked human,I went down to get breakfast.

"Good morning everybody."I said cheerfully to the four people sitting at the table and Aunt Ruth.I heard a chorus of good morning's' from everyone.

"What's for breakfast?"I asked Aunt Ruth.

"Umm,apple juice,bread toast with butter and scrambled eggs."I smiled to myself at the thought of my scrumptious breakfast.

"Wow.Soundsdelicious."I said excited and with that she started preparing mybreakfast.My friends looked bored so I decided to play a prank on Miguel withtheir help.Since Mi guel was sitting with us ,I couldn't speak out loud.So,Idecided to text them on our group chat.When they noticed their phones beep,they picked it up and within a moment saw their faces light up.

"Hey,Miguel?"I said.

"Yeah"He replied in a bored tone.

"I need to tell you something important."I said looking like I was gonna break down any moment.

"Ok.Go on"He replied getting interested.

"There is this guy who bullies me."I say knowing that would trigger him,because despite being very annoying,he is also very overprotective.

"WTF?Who is he?Do I know him?Where does he live?What is that asshole's name?Come on speak up Alex!Did he try hurting you?I swear I'll kill that guy"He blabbered fuming in anger.

"Well,I have his photo with me."I say.

"Okay what are you waiting for?Come on show it to me.I'll break every bone of that jerk,if he messes with my family."He said which made me say aww mentally,but I know that if he gets to know I'm just playing with him,I'd be so dead.

"I'll show it to you after breakfast"I told him.

"Okay.Let's have our breakfast,then we'll talk about it."He said nodding his head.I gave a quick wink to my friends asking them to be ready to escape soon.They replied with a thumbs up.

"So,we'll be off now bye dad,bye Miguel"I said hurrying out the door.

"But,the pic........"Miguel said to which Dahlia replied saying"She sent the pic to you already.Anyways bye Mr.Mendoza and Aunt Ruth."She said running towards me.Before I could reach the car I heard my brother scream ,"Alex!You're so dead!Looks like my prank worked."Wait,but what was the picture?"Cleo asked me as we started the car.

"It was the picture I took when he was dared to wear a bikini.I thought it'd be handy.And look I was right."I said laughing with them joining in.

"Like anyone will ever bully you."Cleo said .

"Why won't they do it?I'm like a very easy target."I replied perplexed.

"Seriously,Alex.You are Alejandra Mendoza.The sister of Miguel Mendoza,and the only daughter of Lucas Mendoza."Dahlia said looking at me like it was obvious.

"Well,umm,yeah I mean.Hey stop making me feel like own the world.And look who is talking don't get me started with your families."I said.

"Okay.Okay ditch the topic."Cleo said.

Once we reached school,we started walking to our lockers when we saw Nick walk towards his locker(which was next to Cleo's locker)and his friends walking towards us.And my heart skipped a beat just by looking at him.Gosh this guy,looking as handsome as ever,wearing a blackish-blue hoodie and jeans and damn he looked hot as usual.

"Hey,beautiful ladies,Good morning."Reece said leaning onto Dahlia's locker.

"Good morning Reece."I and Cleo replied in sync.

"Can you please remove your hand from my locker,I don't want any germs on it."Dahlia said making a weird face.

"Girls die to have me near them and you should be feeling even more lucky that i have my hands on your locker."He shot back.

"Ohh.Please I am not one of those dumb,idiotic girls.Plus you're talking as if we don't know what you did with those hands this morning and I am sure it won't be pleasing to know."She said making a disgusted face.

"Okay both of you,stop arguing I have my doubts that you guys will end up falling for each other."As soon as this came out from Dave both of them snap their heads looking straight at Dave with horrified faces which made everyone else laugh.

"Come on guys let's get going."Nick said distracting all of us.

"Wait I still need to tell her how lucky she is."Reece said.

"Come on, you can do that later."Nick said pulling him.

"But but........ahhhhhhhhhh"Reece says protesting.

Once we reached our class,everything went on normally nothing special as of today.And it's already lunch time and today we decided to have lunch with Nick and the guys.We took the food we wanted and I also picked an extra cupcake for Nick,since I knew he loved cupcakes.I was excited as I get to spend forty-five minutes with him.

Once we were seated at our table,I gave Nick his cupcake to which he just looked at me without saying anything.I sat opposite to him,and we were having a peaceful lunch.Well,peaceful till.....Adrianna decided to butt in to our table.Like what is with this girl and her horrible timing!

"Hey,Babe wanna hang out after school like just you and me at my house?"Adrianna asked trying to look really seductive.

"Nope,I have basketball practice with the guys."He said without even looking at her.

"That's okay.We can adjust some time ,don't you think?"She said trying again.I really am hoping he'll refuse.

"I said no,don't you just get it?"He asked getting irritated by her behaviour.

"Okay.fine Babe but call me if you change your mind."She said kissing his cheeks,which made me wanna push her off that chair when........

"Hey,Nick I am eating your cupcake ."Reece said

I was gonna say no and take it from him,when I noticed that Nick didn't even care about it,so I simply let it go feeling a little depressed.

After school as we were walking down the corridoor,Cleo spoke up"Hey,the party's at Reece's tonight.Shall we go?"

"He did invite us,but I am not sure if I am down for a party today."I said

"OH come on,Alex we know it will be fun.Plus Nick's gonna be there."Dahlia said wiggling her eyebrows mentioning my one and only weakness.

"Fine,but since it's a school night-no drinks."I said which made them hug me and squeal in happiness.Even I was happy since I would get to see Nick for some more time........
