Chapter Two : Not Okay

It was still the night, time not known, but Celestia's wide open eyes that only saw pitch black was all it took to assure her that it was late in the night. She tried to fall back into the once deep slumber she had, but her anxiousness got the best of her as she started to imagine weird creatures and monsters hiding in her room, waiting to clasp onto her leg and drag her into the pits of hell. Sighing in frustration at her stream of imagination that was running wild and dark, Celestia used her memory and started walking in the dark, making sure not to knock over anything so her parents won't wake up, and grabbed her phone. With the click of a button, the bright white light illuminated in her faces and scorched her eyes, as they tried to adjust to the new lighting. Irritably rubbing her eyes, she read the time which stated 1:30 am. Feeling a sense of darkness overwhelm her, Celestia decided to take a walk. Cautious that the weather is chilly at this time, she pulled out a black hoodie, followed by black jeans and black gloves so she could blend in with the color of the sky and avoid any dangers as such. Taking her earphones with her, Celestia headed off to the outside.

Blasting music with only one ear bud on, because she knew better than to disregard her surroundings, Celestia looked down at her feet, enjoying the silence as she allowed her body to take her wherever it pleased. She was currently listening to 18 by Stay Boys, a song about growing up and the melancholy feeling of not being able to be kid anymore. She really felt those lyrics play at her heart strings as she thought about the times when nothing ever mattered and it was just her 4 year old self worried about nothing to the point tripping and falling only made her giggle as her parents sighed in relief and held her in their arms while smiling at her and letting her tiny fragile fingers grasp onto their strong yet delicate hands, as she stared in wonder as to why they were so big. Everything was starting to make her feel emotional as she wished that things weren't always about studying, getting good grades, impressing all the relatives and beating competition-

The sound of a branch cracking, made Celestia pause her thoughts, but the song was still playing. Immediately feeling as if she was being watched, she knew someone was behind her but she kept walking, trying to song back into the song and make it her safe place again. However, the continuous shivers and the shakes made by her fingers alarmed her that she is starting to panic so she slowly reduced the noise improving her sense of hearing. The sound quiet but vague footsteps finally came into her range of hearing as she realized that whoever this was, made sure their pace was on par with hers, assuming that she was too focused on her song. Her heart started thudding as she felt their presence get closer and closer, and out of fright she broke into a sprint. Sure enough, the person behind her also started running, and Celestia, whose vision was limited due to the flickering street lights and pure darkness surrounding her, started taking sharp turns at what she considered to be an intersection. She tried to getaway as much as she could, but she made the fatal mistake of looking back to see their identity, and indeed it was a man, much older than her. Celestia turned back and knocked hard into a wall, as she stumbled back, eyes seeing black dots and a blurry view of the current location she was in. Fearing that the man could catch her, she quickly took another turn, not realizing it was an alley.

Staggering towards the end of the alley, did she come to her senses that she had made a fatal mistake, but it was too late as the sound of footsteps echoed in this small, isolated pathway that no one would dare to walk into in the night. Back against the wall, all she could do was close her eyes as each step meant he was getting nearer towards where she was.

"My my, you've caused quite a ruckus and to think a girl would be walking alone in the night...what a very lucky day for me" the man chuckled and Celestia felt a sense of discomfort course through her entire with the tone in his voice and how his laugh was so disgusting. She tried to think of something as looked left and right, but she was cornered and her only escape was straight away...she knew there was no way out of what was about to happen very soon.

She started mumbling something out and the man was wondering what was up with her.

"What did you say ?...Not like it matters" he was about to touch her when she looked up at him.

"I said...STAY AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed and shoved him. The man thought to himself that this was fun considering she was very feisty, but he realized that he was stuck between being shoved and falling down, as if he was just floating but not really. Then he felt a surge of pain course through him as he tried hard not to scream and instead focused on locating the pain. He stared at the girl who now had her head down, so he couldn't see her face properly. Soon enough he saw that her hands were staying in the same position when she used them to push him. His eyes went down as they widened and he started to groan in agony when he noticing that a knife had been plunged into his stomach.

"I said stay away" she repeated and man looked back at the girl, his vision also becoming a little foggy as her face was no longer covered in fear, but she had a monotonous look, not even flinching at the act she had just performed. Instead she started to laugh, but it felt dark and off and she grinned at him in an insane way that the man was also starting to shake in fear.

"My my how the tables have turned. You started this game..." She retrieved the knife, causing the man to fall down as blood started to trickle down from his stomach and stain his black jeans as well as the floor, but he tried his best to fight for his life by scrambling away towards the open area. However, a foot was kept on his back preventing him from moving.

"Don't run away, I wasn't finished talking" She kicked his body to side and targeted his heart with a hard and fast strike. The man tried to scream but she shut him with her boots, and kept going until she heard a satisfying crack. Jaw broken, the man had difficulty trying to come up with a sentence. It was too late for him anyways, and she sat in the corner staring as he bled out to his death.

"And I've ended this game...That was too easy, I should aim for someone stronger" Celestia thought to herself as she disappeared into the night, making her way back home as if nothing had happened.
