Guilty Conscience

February 6 8:23 AM Haeundae Marine City, Busan, South Korea

Atsumu opened his eyes, breathing in deeply as he stared at the ceiling. He sat up slowly as memories suddenly flooded back into his mind. He could feel himself heated up and he covered his face with his hands.

"Sakusa really did came to save me." He breathed deeply.

He looked at the time on the clock on top of the bed side table and it was almost 8:30 in the morning. He was about to get out of the bed but he suddenly heard a soft groan and he looked over in surprise. Sakusa was lying next to him.

He stared down at him, just amazed he was still next to him and didn't left. He looked so harmless but tired, so gentle as he snored softly. He reached out and gently caress the man's hair down to his cheeks.

Even though he don't know exactly why Sakusa stayed throughout the whole night meant, he knew it was something good and he couldn't feel so happy the man was still with him.

He moved back under the blankets and snuggled closer to Sakusa. Not long, he felt Sakusa's hand slowly wrapping around his waist, reducing the gap between them.

"Good morning." Sakusa breathed as he place a kiss on Atsumu's forehead.

"Good morning." Atsumu greeted back. "Sorry, I don't remember anything after the incident yesterday. Are you hurt somewhere?" He asked, tilting his head up to meet the man's face.

"I should be the one asking you that. How's your body? You need to wait for a couple of hours before the drugs come down." Sakusa worriedly asked as he gently stroke Atsumu's hair.

"I..." Atsumu suddenly felt ashamed and embarrassed knowing it was his own fault when he forced his self to intake the meth that Futakuchi offered during the drug dealing but Sakusa tried his best to stop him.

"I'm fine. No worries." Atsumu faked a smile to prevent Sakusa from worrying about him. "Where are we?" He asked to change the topic.

"My penthouse here in Busan. I bought it with my own money and this is my sanctuary so I always feel relaxed and comfortable in here. No one knows this place except for Komori, Iizuna and you."

Sakusa smiled as he leans down to kiss him, his kiss was warm and gentle. The embrace and the kiss had been comforting for Atsumu, reducing the pain on his head he has been feeling since he woke up.

When his kiss ended, he whispered softly only inches from his lips. "Don't worry, Atsumu. From now on, I will do everything to protect you."

Atsumu buried his face on Sakusa's chest, trying to avoid his gaze. He knows. He knows that there's no way Oiwake and his father doesn't know about this place. Wherever Sakusa goes, his father will surely find him because of the human GPS microchip inside his body.

He wanted to tell everything to him but that would just make him suspicious. Why would he know about this things and whom did he got this information?

He didn't drag the conversation any longer because he don't know what to say and he doesn't want to talk about anything right now. Atsumu decided to stay quiet and say nothing to him.

"Do you want something for breakfast? I'll cook it for you." Sakusa asked after a moment of silence.

"Coffee's fine." Atsumu answered, still not looking at Sakusa.

There was a long pause before Sakusa sat up from the bed. "You really need to eat something. I'll go downstairs so wait for me." He said as he gave a peck on Atsumu's cheek.

After Sakusa closed the door behind him, Atsumu suddenly felt the urge to throw up. He forced his self to stand up but stumbled out of the bed, making a loud thud. He roamed his eyes around and saw two doors other than the door where Sakusa went out. He opened the first door but unluckily, it was just the walk in closet. He covered his mouth with his right hand, trying not to throw up on Sakusa's extravagant carpet.

As soon as he open the second door, he quickly opened the lid of the toilet bowl and puked. He tried to release everything, still hoping it will lessen the pain he feels from the drug overdose. He still felt high but it was no longer the pleasurable feeling he felt after taking the drugs.

He felt jittery, sick and his jaw was killing him from grinding his teeth. He tried to remember all the information he had learned in school about the drugs especially for meth and ecstasy but he wasn't able to think a lucid thought. He just wanted the come-down to stop.

He soon heard a loud footsteps coming on his way and saw Sakusa who's wearing a cerulean-colored apron.

"I knew you weren't okay!"  Sakusa carried Atsumu back to the bed and handed him a tissue to wipe his lips.

"Wait for me here. I'll go get you a glass of water."

Atsumu pulled his knees to his chest and closed his eyes, reality setting on him. He did something an agent should never do, under cover or not. He is strongly against drugs and this went against everything he'd believed in. He wants to gain everyone in the clan's trust but he didn't expect that drugs will be included for it.

But it was not just that. As time goes by, his conscience is slowly killing him. He felt the need to just leave everything behind and tell the truth to Sakusa but if he did, all of his plans to avenge for his twin brother's death will go down the drain.

He doesn't deserve this kindness from Sakusa. This pure intentions of being saved by him, being taken care by him and being spoiled by him, puts in a lot of burden to him. He knew very well he could lose everything he'd ever worked for if he tells the truth.

"Here." Sakusa came back with a glass of water on his right hand.

Atsumu's hands were shaking as he lift the glass to his lips and took small sips.

"We're going back today after we eat breakfast. I need Ushijima to check on your condition as soon as possible."

Atsumu didn't respond anymore. He held his head down and bit his lower lip as he tried to fight the tears welling up on his eyes. Reality was hitting and it was hitting really hard.

"S-sakusa..." Atsumu called out. "Yesterday, why did... you saved my life?" He asked, still looking down.

"Isn't it obvious?" Sakusa sat down on the bed beside Atsumu and lifted his chin. "It's because my lover was in danger."

Atsumu leaned forward and gave Sakusa a tight hug, only this time to hide his face as tears fell from his face.

"Why are you so affectionate today?" Sakusa chuckled. He gently caress Atsumu's hair before kissing the top of his head. "Please don't be so cute like this. I might not hold myself back anymore. I've endured myself to not hold you last night even if I badly want to replace all the marks that Futakuchi left on your body."

"I-i'm sorry.." Atsumu stammered as he gently pushed Sakusa away from him. "Not today. I don't want to be held and feel loved by him." He didn't want to admit it hurt, that he felt like his heart was being ripped into pieces. He had fallen for Sakusa Kiyoomi. He felt bitter that out of all the people in the world he could have possibly fallen for, it had to be this man in front of him.

He wants to keep fighting for his feelings for the sake of his twin brother and for the sake of all the people who died for this case but there was no point. He couldn't pretend that the feeling wasn't there, that they weren't real. That it was just because Sakusa was too kind to him. That it was just because Sakusa was the first person other that his twin brother that shown affection and care for him. He couldn't pretend that he hates Sakusa. He hated himself but Atsumu could never hate Sakusa.

Sakusa couldn't help but feel worried as he glance at his face and saw Atsumu's tears falling down on his cheeks. "I'll prepare breakfast so wait for me here." He said as he wipe away the tears on his one cheek using his thumb.

He was about to close the door behind him but Atsumu suddenly asked a question that he didn't expect he'll ask him.

"Sakusa, would... would you ever kill me... if it meant... s-saving yourself and the whole clan?"

February 6 11:34 AM Division of Intelligence Agency

"Are you ready for today's plan, Sugawara-san?" Tsukishima asked as he take a small sip of his black coffee he bought from the coffee shop where Yamaguchi works.

"I.. don't know anymore..." Sugawara answered, a small smile forming on his lips.

"It couldn't be helped." Tsukishima thought. Today is the day. Today will be the day that they will end everything. Everything that hinders them to complete this case.

"Sugawara, Tsukishima, are you two ready? Taketora is absent for today so I will be the one driving."  Kuroo asked upon entering the Strategic Management office.

"I need to assign some tasks to the newbies first so please wait for us outside." Sugawara lied and faked a smile.

As soon as Kuroo closed the door behind him, they used the back door to go to the Communications office. Upon arriving, Takeharu, Bobata and Terushima were all busy doing the tasks that Sugawara assigned to them beforehand.

"How's everything going?" Sugawara asked Terushima who's busy doing data research on his laptop.

"We've already contacted Akaashi-san and Bokuto-san last night and they already scheduled a CT Scan, MRI and a neurologic exam for Shibayama Yuuki today." Terushima explained while showing the schedule table of Shibayama Yuuki (alleged son of the ex-leader of the Shibayama clan).

"That's good. Tell them to contact us once they get a hold of Shibayama Yuuki so that we can assure his safety. Also, kindly ask them a favor to hide him as safely as they can before Kuroo takes him away from us."

He then turn his gaze to Bobata and asked, "Bobata, did you already installed the GPS tracker inside the car that we will be using for today?"

"I did and not just that car. To prevent any issues, if in case Kuroo changes his mind to use another car, I've installed GPS trackers on all the vehicles owned by the agency." Bobata answered as he shows the list of all the cars that has GPS trackers and the GPS tracking platform he uses to track down the location of each vehicle.

"Great idea of yours, Bobata." Sugawara praised.

He walked towards Takeharu who was still busy on his phone, talking to someone. "Takeharu, how's it going on your side?"

"Thank you for your assistance." He said and then hung up. "Everything's ready, Sugawara-san. All of them are in their location and will wait for your go signal." Takeharu stood up and reached out his hand with an ear piece on it. "Kindly use this ear piece to communicate with them."

"Thank you. This will be a great help." He said as he puts the hidden ear piece.

"All's settle. Monitor everything on the CCTV cameras and record everything. This will be a good evidence that we can provide to the prime minister so that we can file a warrant of arrest."

"Yes, sir!" The three of them answered in unison.

Sugawara and Tsukishima walked out of the room and to their surprise Daichi was outside, standing.

"D-daichi! S-sorry we're late. I-I assigned some tasks to the newbies but they weren't understanding it well so I explained it over and over." Sugawara explained.

There was a long pause before Daichi patted Sugawara's head. "That can't be helped because they're still new to this kind of work."

He turned his back away from them and said, "Kuroo's been waiting so let's go and save Shibayama Yuuki."

Sugawara headed out following Daichi. He noticed that Tsukishima didn't moved an inch from where he was standing so Sugawara dragged him with him by gently squeezing his right hand.

"We'll get through this safely, Tsukishima."

When they arrived at the parking lot, both of them were surprised on what they saw. Kuroo was there so as Daichi but two more people were also there with them.

"Why are they here?" Sugawara pointed at them.

"I received an additional information from the nurses at the Tokyo Medical Hospital that Shibayama Yuuki needs to have an approval first when leaving his room at the hospital. There were rumors that he has a tracker bracelet and once he goes out of his room, a bomb will explode which is located inside his room. That's why we need the both of them in case there really is a bomb." Kuroo explained as he hops inside the car.

"Suga-chan, how can you be so rude to me? This will be the first time that I will work with you. I've been dreaming of this day to work with you but it seems like you don't want to work with me. All I ever wanted was to spend more time with you." Oikawa said, faking a sob.

"Stop with the drama, shitty trash. You'll gonna be left behind if you don't get in now." Iwaizumi said who's already inside the car with the others.

When Oikawa looked over his shoulder, everyone was really inside the car already. "You should have said so sooner!" He shouted in annoyance.

"What the hell! Why is Oikawa-san and Iwaizumi-san with them?!" Takeharu screamed as he saw everything from the CCTV camera on the parking lot.

Terushima choked on his drink upon hearing what Takeharu said. He rushed to check the CCTV footage if it was real and saw the both of them inside Kuroo's private car.

"We're fucking doomed..." Bobata shuddered. "He used a car similar to the ones we use here in the agency but I don't remember that number plate. He's using... a private car..."

"No, no, no this can't be happening." He quickly grabbed his phone and dialed Sugawara's number. "Please pick it up. Please pick it up. Please pick it up." Terushima mumbled over and over.

"Hmmm? I can feel something vibrating inside your pocket, Suga-chan." Oikawa pointed out Sugawara's pocket.

When Sugawara looked at the phone number, he knew it was Terushima. He purposely didn't save Terushima's number in case he calls when they're on their way to the hospital.

"Hey, it's been a while. How have you been? Is your grandmother okay now?" Sugawara answered, preventing others to raise their suspicion on him.

"Kuroo is currently using his private car that is similar to the ones we have here in the agency. Right now, Takeharu and Bobata are only tracking your location using the CCTV cameras around the city."

"Don't worry cause I know...." Sugawara paused. "I know that your grandmother is as strong as a bull so there's no way she won't be fine."

"Sugawara-san, will... everything be okay? You'll gonna get back here safe, right? Promise me you'll get bac---"

Sugawara cut off Terushima and said, "Always take care of yourself and your siblings too. Goodbye."

"Who was that?" Daichi asked.

"My childhood friend at Miyagi Prefecture. His grandmother got sick and was hospitalized for a month because of diabetes. He called just to share the good news that his grandmother will be discharged tomorrow." Sugawara explained while putting his phone back in his pocket .

"It's great to hear that you still have contact with your friends knowing you're in this line of work. Don't they ask you what company you are working on?" Oikawa curiously asked.

"I own a convenience store close to a school is what I always tell them."

"That's nice... I would definitely believe that lie if I were your friend. I always tell my colleagues at school that I started modelling but no one believed me because I don't have any evidence to show them."

"No one will believe that kind of lie, ugly ass" Iwaizumi butted in.

"No one's asking for your opinion, Iwa-chan! And more importanly, my ass is not ugly!"  Oikawa retorted while gripping Iwaizumi's shirt.

"Don't touch me. I might get infected by your stupidity." He tried to push Oikawa away from him but he gripped his shirt tighter than earlier.

Sugawara forced a laugh and acted normal around them. He gently squeezed Oikawa's hands and slowly pulled him away from Iwaizumi. "Stop it already. The car is too small for the six of us so don't start a fight when we're inside."

"Damn, traffic." Kuroo cursed upon seeing the heavy traffic down the highway.

"He purposely passed here cause he know there will be heavy traffic." Sugawara thought.

Kuroo made a U-turn and went inside an alley where clubs and bars are all closed and only open at night time and you'll barely see any people passing by.

"Wait why did we stop here?!" Tsukishima quavered as soon as he heard strange noises coming out of the car.

"Battery's dead. I think the alternator has gone bad. Can you all help me to check it? Taketora usually knows this type of car issues and I don't even have the slightest idea how to fix it." Kuroo asked everyone.

"I know a little so I'll help." Daichi said and soon went out of the car.

"Me too. I will." Iwaizumi then followed Daichi.

"Don't leave me here, Iwa-chan!" Oikawa shouted and went out of the car too, leaving Sugawara, Tsukishima and Kuroo inside.

"I don't really know anything about fixing cars so I'll stay here." Sugawara told Kuroo.

"Then, do you mind asking some water at those establishments with Tsukishima in case we will be needing it?" Kuroo asked for a favor while holding a small water container.

"Chance. This will be a great chance to think of a new plan. They need to escape away from here and contact Terushima to tell the others that now's the time to capture them." He grabbed the water container from Kuroo and answered, "Okay."

As soon as both of them got out of the car, he roamed his eyes around and sighed in relief as he saw CCTV cameras around the alley. He felt safe knowing the newbies still has access on their current location.

The both of them were about to pass Kuroo but he stopped them from walking away.

"Stop right there." He called out with an emphasis on each word.

As soon as Kuroo said those words, Sugawara and Tsukishima quickly grabbed both of their guns and pointed it at Kuroo who already has his gun pointed at them.

"So you already knew, Sugawara?"

Noises of magazines being loaded and racking of handgun slides can be heard and guns were all suddenly pointed at Kuroo.

"Give it up, Kuroo. You're surrounded by us now. Throw the gun on your right side and raise both of your arms up." Sugawara ordered.

A wicked laugh escaped Kuroo and he almost fell on the pavement laughing his ass off.

"You really think you have me cornered?" Kuroo laughed out. "Why don't you look at your back?"

Sugawara slowly looked over his shoulder and saw Daichi's gun pointed at him.

"Are... you fucking serious? So it really... was you?" Sugawara gulped thickly as he tries to stop him self from crying.

"Why don't you introduce yourself again to him, Daichi?" A cocky grin spread on his lips when he saw Sugawara's tears that he has been holding back earlier is now continually flowing down his cheeks.

"I don't think I still need to do that, Kuroo. But as a proper introduction to their new opponent, I might as well do it." He slowly unbuttoned his shirt, showing a tattoo on his chest that is familiar to Sugawara. A tattoo he saw during a biopsy test that is the same with the tattoo that Kita Shinsuke have on his chest.

"I know you already knew about this. It's true, Suga. I'm the newly appointed leader of the Kita clan."

"W-why? We've been together... in this line of work for s-six years... but you didn't told me anything about this. I-is it money? Did they... bribe you just to get you on their side?" Sugawara stammered, his gun aiming at Daichi is slowly getting on the pavement.

"Sugawara-san! Get a hold of yourself!" Tsukishima shouted without removing his gaze and his aim at Kuroo.

Sugawara roughly wiped the tears away from his cheeks and said, "I-i'm sorry, Daichi. But I already decided from the start that for the sake of all the people who died for this case, I will avenge them by obliterating the three major families. That's why..."

He pointed his gun at Daichi's head and declared, "I will never back down even if it meant killing you."

"Isn't that sweet, Daichi?" Kuroo let out a loud cackle that echoed along the alley. "His gun pointed at you and that dedication of killing you even though he loves you so much. It's fucking sweet, right?"

He was about to walk towards Daichi but Tsukishima and Iwaizumi stopped him.

"Don't move or else I'll pull the trigger." Tsukishima warned.

"Oh, right. You're still here." He then looked over at the back of Tsukishima and Iwaizumi and said, "I need a little help here, bud."

Iwaizumi slowly looked over his shoulder and chills ran down on his spine as he saw Oikawa's gun pointed at him.

"Drop the gun, Iwaizumi."

"O-oikawa...?"
