March 20 5:47 PM Amanemu 2165 Hazako Hamajima-cho Shima-shi, Mie 517-0403, Japan
Perched on the verdant rolling shores of Ago Bay on the west coast of Honshu, was where the leader of the top reigning yakuza group has held a special celebration. An exclusive and luxury resort, having an exceptional spa with two large onsen bathing pavilions and complemented by a watsu pool, embraces a classical Japanese aesthetic that makes it unique with the other venues.
"Happy Birthday, Sakusa-kun" Another guest greeted Kiyoomi while raising his glass of champagne.
"Thank you. Hope you'll enjoy the party." Kiyoomi bowed his head and flashed a smile at him before walking away. Even if he doesn't want to, all of the guest invited are all upper class people, partners and have a good connection with his father.
"Tired of smiling already?" Komori asked, handing a glass of red wine to Kiyoomi.
"Fuck it. I swear my facial muscles will be sore tomorrow morning." Kiyoomi irritatingly said as he gulps down his drink.
Komori just stared at how quickly Kiyoomi has drunk his red wine and asked, "How many?"
He looked back at him, confused of Komori's question. "What do you mean with 'how many'?"
"How many glasses have people offered to you?" Komori asked and grabbed Kiyoomi's hand who was about to ask for the waiter roaming around for another glass. Komori was surprised at how does Kiyoomi can still stand at this moment, knowing his alcohol tolerance isn't that good.
"I don't know. I've been accepting every drink they offer to me." He just stared blankly at Komori with his droopy heavy eyelids, feeling tired he may seem.
"You want me to take you to your room for a rest?" Komori placed his drink on the table and stood up from his seat.
"No, I'm fine. My father told me that he invited a special guest so he wants me to meet that person."
"A special guest, you say..." Komori sat back again and took a sip of his wine. "Everyone's already in here though."
"Maybe a new business partner." Kiyoomi stood up from his seat and grab a glass of water, trying to sober himself up. "I don't care who it is but I just want to rest for the night after meeting that person."
"Want me to accompany you there?" Komori asked.
"I'm not a kid, Motoya." He then left Komori behind and walked his way to one of the private rooms of the resort.
"I think this is it." He thought as he saw the room number. He knocked three times before calling out to his father. "I'm coming in, Daiki-san."
As usual, his father only has two or three bodyguards around him. His unknown identity makes him move freely around Japan and he thought having bodyguards around him will attract too much attention. Not even people he has connections with and his business partners know his face. He always does his meetings online without showing his face and always makes sure that his voice is altered.
"Did you greet everyone properly?" Daiki asked as he stood up from his seat.
Kiyoomi nodded his head. "Some of the guests already went to their respective rooms to take a rest while others went to the bathing pavilions to enjoy the amenities of the resort."
"Hmm.. good thing Oiwake found this place." Daiki said while staring outside of the window, looking at the beautiful panoramic view of the island of Honshu.
"Oh, I forgot. You want your birthday present from me?" Daiki slowly walked towards his son before tilting his head down to meet his son's gaze.
"I don't need anything, Daiki-san. I'm already grateful that you took me in." Kiyoomi spoke as he look up to his father. He was sweating bullets and he felt that his hands started to shake so bad. It was the first time that his father is giving him a birthday present and he doesn't feel good about it.
"Hmmm..." He pressed Kiyoomi's right shoulder that made him flinched in terror. "I went on my way to invite this person so you still don't want it?"
He flashed a malicious smile at him that sent chills through his son's spine.
"I'll be g-glad to take it, Daiki-san..." Kiyoomi quickly answered, not wanting to be harmed by his father. He knows that if he rejects any offer his father gives or any small mistake he makes will surely send him into a rampage.
"This is a special day for you, Kiyoomi. I won't cause any harm if you'll just say and accept everything that I order and give to you." Daiki walked away and went to another door inside the room.
"Well, then. Happy Birthday, Kiyoomi." Daiki greeted before opening the door and table with foods and drinks were served and a woman wearing a Metallic lace long sleeves dress with allover embroidered net and beaded waistband was inside of the room.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he saw who it was. He quickly run his way inside of the joint room and gave the woman a tight hug.
"Mom..." He tried to suppress his sobs but it was no use. He just missed his mother so much whom he haven't met for years now because his father prohibited him to do so.
"I-I'm n-not dreaming, right?" He squeezed his mother's hand and placed them on his cheeks, trying to feel her warmth.
"You've grown taller, Kiyoomi." Akari smiled happily and gently wiped away his tears that made him relieved as he felt the comfort of her touch.
"I-I'm really happy that you're here." He said before gulping down a sob.
Kiyoomi squeezed Akari's hands tightly before looking back to his father. "This is the best present I have received tonight, Daiki-san. I'm really thankful that you invited my mother over." He bowed down and a wide smile spread on his lips.
"Suit yourselves. Have fun tonight cause..." A knock on the door was heard and a blonde guy wearing a uniform of a waiter came in. ".... I'll enjoy mine." Daiki added.
He ordered one of his men to close the door from the joint room where Kiyoomi and his wife is. He walked towards the blonde and wrapped his arm around the younger's waist.
"Great timing." Daiki said welcoming him.
"Let's eat?" Kiyoomi asked, inviting Akari. She nodded his head and he hurriedly pulled the chair for his mother.
"How was your day?" Akari asked. Kiyoomi was about to sit down when he heard a familiar voice from the joint room where his father was. He was talking to someone.
"Yes. I-I'm done with my job here so can I go home now?" The man asked as he tries to push Daiki's body away from his.
"Kiyoomi? Are you okay?" Akari asked as he saw her son froze. "Is there any problem?"
"I.. no... nothing." He shoved away his thoughts who he think it was and he's trying to convince his self that he was just hallucinating because of stress and tiredness.
"How was the trip, Mom?" Kiyoomi asked as he sat across his mother. "It's a six hour drive from Shibuya. You must be tired now."
"It was a long ride but I'm happy to see y---" A sudden noise of a breaking glass was heard from the joint room.
Kiyoomi couldn't take it anymore. His curiosity was killing him. If he doesn't find out who it was, he knows for sure that he'll regret it later. "I'll go check so wait for me here, Mom." Kiyoomi was about to stand up but Akari hurriedly stopped him from going out.
"No, you can't! Your father might vent out his anger to you! He'll definitely hurt you!"
The worryness feeling was evident on her face. Akari tightly squeezed her son's hand and begged, "I don't want you to go out there and just get beaten so please stay with me here."
A small smile formed on the man's lips. "Okay, I understand." Kiyoomi said as he gently caress his mother's cheeks to assure her he won't be meddling with his father's business. He sat back on his seat and pour wine to his mother's glass.
"Does your father still doesn't treat you well?" Akari asked as she exchanged her plate with already sliced steak she cut for her son.
"What do you mean I can't go home?!" Kiyoomi heard the person with a familiar voice, shouted. "You told me that once I gave out the bouquet of flowers, I can go home already!"
"Atsumu...?" Kiyoomi froze as soon as he heard the word 'flowers'.
"Did you forgot what I told you when I went to your shop besides ordering the flowers?" He heard his father spoke on a deep voice.
"I want some special service too."
Kiyoomi quickly stood up from his seat and opened the door joining the other room where his father was.
He then saw his father, lifting the blonde's chin and their lips almost an inch away. Kiyoomi dashed towards the blonde and shoved away his father's grip off of the blonde's chin.
He didn't thought anything nor got scared of what his father might do because of what he did. His body acted on its own and he only thought of saving his lover away from his father.
"What the hell are you doing, Kiyoomi?" Daiki looked calm but his voice sounded terrifying. "I have business to do with that guy you're hugging right now."
Kiyoomi's heart was beating so fast and he knows that Atsumu is feeling it through his back.
"I a-also need to talk t-to him, Daiki-san." He grabbed Atsumu's hands and gently pulled him behind his back and said, "It's an important matter."
"Mine's important too." Daiki swiftly said. "Also, your mother's here. She travelled hours just to get here, wouldn't that be rude if you won't make time for her instead of spending it with that guy?" Daiki pointed at Atsumu who was trembling in fear as he saw five men coming inside the room, armed with guns.
Daiki walked towards Kiyoomi and stared down at him, "Move, Kiyoomi."
Kiyoomi didn't moved an inch, "I won't move, Daiki-san." He stared up at his face and Daiki let out a snicker, surprised of his son's actions.
"You won't budge?" He held Kiyoomi's chin gently and asked once again after not hearing any reply from him, "You won't fucking budge, are you sure?"
Kiyoomi shook his head firmly and squeezed Atsumu's right hand tightly. "I won't let you cause harm to Atsumu."
"Well, then." Daiki walked away from the two and sat on his seat. He snapped his fingers twice and one of the men who went inside earlier pour him a glass of red wine.
"Why don't we let you choose, Kiyoomi?" He took a sip of his drink before placing back his glass back to the table.
He pointed at Atsumu and asked, "Have the rest of the night with him..." He then looked over to the joint room where his wife is and Daiki was surprised as he saw Akari who was already there for a while now. "Or I'll have a good talk with your mother?"
A prolonged and general silence followed. Kiyoomi couldn't choose between them. The words froze in his mouth as he stares at his mother and back to Atsumu. He knew what his father meant with 'good talk'. He'll definitely beat his mother tonight if he'll choose Atsumu over her.
"Oh, that's right. I almost forgot about it." Daiki stood up and walked back to Kiyoomi and bent down his head to meet Atsumu's gaze.
"The mark I left on your neck. It's still there, right?" He leered at Atsumu with a lascivious grin and roughly pulled Atsumu' shirt causing the buttons to snapped, revealing the hickey that Daiki placed at Atsumu's neck.
"I really had fun playing with him." Daiki said while shooting evil gazes back at his son.
As soon as he saw his son occupied while looking at the mark he did, he quickly pulled Atsumu close to him, his body facing Kiyoomi.
Daiki wrapped his left arm around Atsumu's chest and grabbed a PSD Multi-caliber FK BRNO pistol from his side. "That looks good on you, Atsumu." He caressed the mark gently with his gun before placing it at Atsumu's temple.
"You do know I have a little patience, right? I want you to choose now cause I'll start counting down to three, Kiyoomi."
"Daiki-san, please don't do this to me." Kiyoomi begged. "I know that the person who I won't be choosing will end up getting hurt by you. That's why please... don't make me choose between the two of them."
A sudden loud gunshot was heard and it was fired at Akari's direction, a few inches away from her head. "Three."
Kiyoomi froze, staring at the mark on the wall. His father almost shot her dead. "D-Daiki-san... please..." Tears welled up on his eyes and his lips trembled in fear.
Daiki wriggled around Atsumu and punched him in the stomach, causing him to collapsed on the floor and whimper in pain as he held tightly from where he was hit.
"Atsu---" Kiyoomi was about to rush towards him but Daiki fired once again and it almost hit Atsumu on the head.
"Two."
Daiki swiftly kicked Atsumu on the head causing the blonde to lose consciousness. "Last chance, Kiyoomi." He hardly pressed Atsumu's stomach using his foot and pointed his gun at Akari's direction.
Kiyoomi knows his father is serious. His intense gaze fixated at him seems like mocking him.
"On---"
"Fine!!!" Kiyoomi shouted. "I-I'll choose already!!"
Daiki placed back his gun and removed his foot on top of the unconscious blonde below him. "So who is it?"
Kiyoomi gulped down thickly and controlled his breathing to keep his frantic emotions from consuming him. It was all too much for him. Having to choose between the two people whom he treasures was devastating for him.
"I'm waiting." Daiki sounded bored and started motioning himself back from his position earlier.
"I-I'll... I'll choose h---"
A sudden knock on the door was heard and a man with orange hair came in, wearing a uniform same with the waiters.
"Oh..." The man acted surprised. "Sorry wrong room."
He bowed his head down and went out once again. The room was silent after the man left, all were surprised with the unexpected intruder who came in.
After a few seconds, the man came in again and now with two tear gases on both of his hands.
"Just kidding. I was in the right room."
The room got filled with smoke irritating their eyes, skin, mouth, throat and down to their lungs. One of Daiki's men started shooting so the others went on with him.
"Don't shoot! You'll fucking kill my son!" Daiki shouted as he tries to shove away the smoke blocking his vision.
The man with an orange hair run through where Atsumu was and grabbed his arm to wrapped it around his neck.
"W-where are you taking him?!" Kiyoomi asked in between his coughs.
"Oh. It's been a while, Sakusa-san." He positioned Atsumu so that he can carry him properly and said, "Good luck on protecting your mother." He quickly escaped out of the room as he carries Atsumu out of the room.
"E-eh? Hinata...?"
