"Don't fucking let that kid escape! Find him!" Daiki shouted on the hallway, his voice was too loud that made the guests resting on their rooms run in fear and terror. Ten of Daiki's bodyguard who were in the room with him dashed outside to look for the intruder.
Hinata escaped along with Atsumu earlier and they're now hiding at the shower room near the bathing pavilion of the resort.
"Atsumu-san?" Hinata called out while lightly tapping Atsumu's cheek. "You're too big for me to carry. Please wake up!"
"He's not here." A man said who seems to be near their location. "Have you checked inside the shower room?"
A sudden chill run down Hinata's spine as he heard their conversation. "Shoot, we're really doomed."
Hinata threw the water on a big drum he found on the shower room and he quickly flipped it downwards to hide Atsumu.
He suddenly heard the door opening and two men went inside.
"Check each of the cubicle properly. They might have used the vent so I'll go check the other side." The other whispered as he gave orders to his subordinate.
The man nodded and slowly walked onto the the cubicles of the shower room, making sure the intruder won't be alert upon their arrival.
He opened four of the cubicles but Hinata was nowhere to be found. The man was onto the last cubicle and his hand was on the knob of the door, ready to inspect inside. He positioned his gun in front and was ready to get in but another man called him out.
"Oh? Why are you still here?" A man with a short black hair and dark brown eyes came inside the shower room.
"There were no traces of them using the ven---" The other man from earlier bowed down his head and greeted the man who came in.
"You too? Didn't the intruder got caught already? I heard it from the others but I'm still not sure." The man said. "You can go back and check it out with the others if they've found him."
"Thank you for the information." Two of them bowed down and run out of the shower room.
Meanwhile, the man slowly walked his way onto the last cubicle that the bodyguard didn't check before leaving. He suddenly opened the door and Hinata rushed out, aimlessly pointing the knife at the man but he swiftly grabbed Hinata's arm and twisted it, making Hinata loose his grip onto the knife. The man then grabbed Hinata's wrist, putting it behind his back to lock him down.
"I knew it." The man breathed.
"E-Eh?" Hinata was dumbfounded as he heard the man's voice. It was so familiar to him, to think he was also there at Sakusa's party. "D-Daichi-san?"
Daichi loosened his grip on Hinata's wrist and gently pushed him away. "You're the same as usual. Giving me troubles and stuffs."
He roamed his eyes around the cubicle and saw a drum turned upside down.
"So he hid him there." Daichi thought. He removed the drum and placed it back at the corner of the cubicle. He then removed his coat, revealing how much buff he gained after training his self under Sakusa Daiki's care. He now has large, muscular yet lean build. His toned muscle structure and his build curves are thoroughly visible on his clothing. His calves were bulkier and his back has broadened than before.
He kneeled down in front of Atsumu and covered his head using his coat. "Help me carry him behind my back."
Hinata didn't moved so Daichi repeated his order. "Hinata, quickly put him behind my back."
"Daichi-san... why are you here? Is Suga-san also with you?" Hinata asked but it seems more like begging to Daichi to deny everything he saw and everything he heard when he followed Kuroo and the others at the alley.
Hinata heard everything. He knew Daichi was one of the traitors of the agency but he doesn't want to believe it. He's been like a big brother to him and to Kageyama as well.
"No one's here besides you." Daichi dryly said.
"Are you really one of them?" Hinata asked, confirming if Daichi really is a traitor.
"You were spying on us, weren't you?" He gazed up at Hinata as if looking through him. "You resigned not because you were afraid to die but you want to take revenge of Kageyama's death, right?"
Hinata was silent. It was true that the day Kageyama died, he quit his job at the agency and made an excuse of not wanting to die like what happened to Kageyama. If Sugawara knew about this, he'll definitely be confined and will be locked up somewhere until this case gets closed.
"Please... leave us alone. We can manage to escape here." Hinata walked towards Atsumu and was about to grab his arm but Daichi stopped him.
"Listen here, Hinata." He stood up and grabbed both Hinata's shoulder. "We don't have time left and Daiki's men will definitely come back here."
Hinata removed Daichi's grip off of his shoulder and refused. "I'll manage. We will never need help from someone who betrayed his comrades."
"Listen here, you pipsqueak." Daichi's eyes glazed over him intimidatingly as he squeezed Hinata's cheeks tightly like how he does whenever him and Kageyama bring trouble at the agency.
"If you think only ten of Daiki's men are out there, you're fucking wrong. You didn't just intruded here but you also saw his face! You will never leave this place alive, Hinata! Do you understand what I'm trying to say to you?!"
"Y-yes!" Hinata thoughtlessly answered. It was like the old days. Daichi was still scary but Hinata felt how worried he was for them.
"I'll carry Atsumu out of here and I need you to meet us at the parking lot. You have a change of clothes with you?"
"Yes. I also brought a wig since my hair color really stands out and a pair of heel lift too to add up a few inch of my height." Hinata said as he opens his bag and placed his things on top of the sink.
"Good thing he remembers everything that I taught him." Daichi covered Atsumu with his coat and Hinata gave him a hand to carry Atsumu to his back.
"Hide as possible as you can, okay?" Daichi worriedly said before he part ways with Hinata after he changed his clothes and put the wig on.
"I will." Hinata had a sunshine smile that made Daichi felt at ease. "I'm counting on you, Daichi-san!"
Hinata disappeared down the garden and Daichi stared after him for a long moment before walking towards another shortcut headed to the parking lot.
"You need to wake up, Atsumu. You really are a pain the ass." Daichi talked over and over in case Atsumu has gained consciousness. "You didn't report this to Sugawara that's why you're here suffering. I just hope no one sees us here"
Daichi prayed as they walked down near the venue where they held Kiyoomi's birthday celebration.
"Oh? Was that Daichi? " Komori thought as he spots Daichi carrying someone behind his back. He placed his drink back to the table and walked towards him.
"Hey. You need help?" Komori offered.
Daichi stepped back as he saw Komori bending his head to take a peek on who's he carrying. "No, I'm fine. One of my men drank a lot so I'll be taking him to his room."
"Hmmm that seems to be bad for you." He jokingly said as he taps Daichi' shoulder.
"He's definitely hiding something." Komori thought but he shrugged it off since he's too drunk to care. He tapped Daichi's shoulder once again and waved his hand to bid goodbye, not wanting to pry anymore. "Have a good night."
"That was close." Daichi sighed in relief as he gazed at Komori until he disappeared around the corner.
"I hope he really didn't know.." He shook his thoughts away and dashed towards the parking area where him and Hinata were suppose to meet. And then he heard the sound of a gun fire.
One...
Two...
Five....
Ten...
It lasted for a minute. Daichi couldn't count how many gun fire he heard where the guest rooms are located. He knows that those gun fire came from where Sakusa Daiki is.
"Daichi-san." Hinata called out quietly while he was hiding on a bush at the back of a car.
Daichi walked towards him and asked, "Did you brought a car with you?"
"Yes, that white one." Hinata pointed a Hyundai Santa Fe XL car which was three cars away from them.
"Let's go we need to hurry before ---"
"Someone else sees us. Am I right?" Both were struck by a voice coming from behind them.
Daichi slowly turned his head towards the voice and sweat trickled down his face as he saw who the man was.
"Trust your instincts. Intuition doesn't lie." The man said as he gulp down his vodka and threw the glass on the pavement.
"Komori... why are you... here?" Daichi asked as he steps backward every time Komori moves closer to them.
"Kiyoomi... will... be mad... if... you... take... Atsumu... away." He said, struggling because of his non stop hiccups.
"Komori, you're drunk." Daichi said as he slowly pass Atsumu to Hinata. "I'll accompany you to your room."
Daichi grabbed Komori's arm to carry him but Komori used his core to stop himself from flailing around with his upper body. He gave Daichi an elbow strike in his gut causing him to bent down because of pain.
As soon as he saw Daichi's head close to him as he bends down, he punched him in the face causing him to drop down the pavement.
"You still... have... a long... way to... go..." Komori struggled once again because of his hiccups.
He then tried to walk straight towards where Hinata is even though the vodka is now kicking in.
He then knelt down in front of Atsumu and removed the coat that was covering his face. "I knew it." Komori smiled gently.
He stood up straight and walked towards Hinata, swiftly removing the wig off of his head, "Gotcha." He threw the wig away and a hint of self-satisfied smirk played across his lips.
Hinata was too dumbfounded to speak. The guy in front of him only took two moves to beat Daichi and he even saw through his disguise.
"You're the... chibi spy, right? The... one who was... suppose... to be executed... in Akigawa Valley?" Komori said in between his hiccups.
Hinata just nodded his head. He was surprised that this guy knows a lot. If he is one of Sakusa Daiki's men, Hinata won't think twice of killing him just to save Atsumu.
Komori sat on the pavement and rested his head on a car hood near him, feeling as if his surrounding was spinning. "Daichi, you awake now?"
"I didn't passed out." Daichi said, still lying on the pavement.
"You liar." Komori let out a soft and warm chuckle. "Sakusa-san will definitely know that you did this."
Daichi sat up and stared at Atsumu who was still unconscious, "I don't care anymore."
"I'll help you out." There was a serious note in his voice that gained both of their attention. "I'll tamper all of the CCTV footages while you carried Atsumu all the way here so that Sakusa-san won't have any evidence that you did it."
"That's impossible." Daichi rejected flatly. "I told two of his men that Hinata was already caught so I'm sure they've already told him about it."
"Sakusa-san won't believe anything without an evidence, Daichi."
Hinata walked towards Daichi and tugged his shirt to whisper something. "Can we trust this guy?"
"You can trust me." Komori stood up and patted the dust off of his pants. "But I need Atsumu to come with me tonight."
"Why do you need him?" Hinata asked.
"You see, my young master has been sullen for the past few months of not seeing that guy so I'm planning to put a ribbon around his body and offer him as a birthday present to that shitty clean freak but don't worry. I'll bring him back tomorrow morning once they talk everything out tonight." Komori annoyingly explained as he remembered Kiyoomi's gloomy face while they were in Korea.
"What do you think, Hinata?" Daichi asked.
"I..." Hinata doesn't know what to say. If he gives Atsumu to him, he wouldn't be sure what Kiyoomi will do to him. "I don't wa---"
"I know this might not be enough but please don't ever report what happened to your seniors and forget everything that have happened in here. I'm begging you, I don't want you to get involved anymore. Both of you are still young and still have a chance to change your careers. I never wanted any of this to happen so please bear with me just once. I'm sorry for everything that I did to the both of you."
A scene suddenly played on Hinata's mind. It was Kiyoomi kneeling down in front of him and Kageyama when they were in Akigawa Valley. It was the day of their execution. That was the day that they were suppose to be killed by him but Kiyoomi set them both free instead. He didn't know why but that suddenly flashed in his mind right at this moment.
"Sakusa-san is a nice guy." Hinata smiled at Komori and said, "Please make sure that he is safe and that you'll bring him back to us tomorrow morning."
"I promise. I'll call my young master right away to tell him the good news."
Komori grabbed his phone out and dialed Kiyoomi's number but every time he calls it only goes directly to his voice mail.
"He's not answering." Komori said on his fifth attempt. "Wait, lemme call him aga---"
Another gun shot was heard. It sent chills on Komori' spine to the point of having the urge of vomiting all he ate and drank that night.
"I really have a bad feeling about this."
Thirty minutes ago**
"You sure have the guts to come back empty handed, huh?" Daiki calmly said but the anger in his eyes were evident. The two men who came inside the shower room where Hinata was hiding came back, only to find out they were tricked.
"Who...." Daiki shot the other men on his leg, "the.." shot him up to his thigh, "fuck..." and shot his right arm next, "told you that the kid was caught?"
He pulled the man's hair and asked, "Who was it?"
The man tried to reach for Daiki's hand to get it off his head but the shot on his right arm was so painful that every time he raise it up, gush of blood comes out.
"I-It was D-Daichi-san!" The other man screamed as he saw Daiki pointing the gun to his friend's temple. "D-Daichi-san told u-us that the intruder was caught a-already."
Daiki gazed up at him before standing straight, his hand still pulling the other man's hair. "You sure it was Daichi?" Daiki gazed at him and the man had a sense that Daiki was looking beyond him, to his soul, examining it as only Death could.
"Y-yes." The man stared at his friend and saw him not breathing anymore. He knew he was next. Even if he knew that Daiki will definitely kill him, he was hoping that if he spills everything, Daiki will take a pity on him.
"W-we went inside the shower room at the bathing pavilion. E-Eguchi-san went to look out on the vents while I went in to look around the cubicles and the---"
The man got cut off when Daiki called him out. "Hey, no one asked you to explain. I was only asking if you're sure that it was Daichi."
A cold sweat broke out on his forehead and it trickled down his face. "I shouldn't have talked to much! He's gonna kill me. He'll definitely kill me!"
Daiki looked down at Eguchi and saw him dead because of blood loss. He sighed and disappointingly said, "No fun. He died too fast." He then threw Eguchi's body away from him.
Daiki roamed his eyes around and saw Kiyoomi who was about to hide his mother inside the joint room where they were earlier.
"Kiyoomi." Daiki called out.
Kiyoomi froze as he heard his father calling his name."His tone of voice..."
Kiyoomi slowly turned around and Daiki's dark smile pasted on his face sent chills through him. He raise his gun, signaling him to come over. "I want you to do something for me."
"W-wait no!" Akari crawled on her knees to Kiyoomi, her hands were shaking as she hugs his son's leg to stop him. "S-stop! D-don't go there! P-please w-wait, Kiyoomi. G-give them three more minutes."
Kiyoomi frowned, confused on what Akari is talking about. "Them? Who are you talking ab---"
Daiki's phone suddenly rung and an angry man answered on the other line. "What's with the gun fires?! Everyone at the venue run out and now they're all panicking like ducks in here! "
"This was all because you didn't do your job properly, Takurou."
It was Oiwake Takurou.
"Huuuh?" He growled at Daiki. "What goddamn bullshit are you talking about? I was working my ass off up till now and you're telling me that I didn't do my job properly?"
"An intruder came in where I'm staying and he took Atsumu." Daiki glanced back at Akari and saw her how she flinched when he smirked at her. "You ruined that plan, Takurou."
A prolonged and general silence followed. Oiwake can't believe that someone slipped inside the venue and even ruined Daiki's plan.
The man breathed deeply before answering, "I'll go find Atsumu."
"Of course you will. If you like seeing your fingers complete, then go find that orange-haired kid who took him."
"I'll find him as soon as possible."
"Report to me once you find him." Daiki said as he hung up the call.
"Now where were we again..." Daiki pulled his hair out of frustration, thinking deeply of what he was supposed to do with all the mess that Hinata has caused. "I'll definitely kill that kid the moment I see him." He breathed before looking his way at his son's direction.
"Come here, Kiyoomi." His father called out once again, his calm features hiding the anger in his blood. "Kill Nishiyama for me."
"I'm not allowing him to do it!" Akari screamed at the top of her lungs. "I will never allow you to order my son around!"
Daiki suddenly laughed aloud. "Your son?" His laugh was short, harsh and humorless. "Stop acting like your the mother of that guy when you can't even properly take care of your own son."
"I'll buy us some time." Akari whispered to Kiyoomi. Her knees were trembling as she stood up, and she didn't think her legs would carry her but she forced herself on.
"I only wanted to kill this useless piece of shit." Daiki pointed his gun at Nishiyama who was trying to resuscitate Eguchi right after he wrapped pieces of clothings around his wounds.
But it was useless.
Eguchi's heart has stopped beating a few moments ago yet Nishiyama can't accept the fact that the guy that he respects the most is dead already.
"Eguchi-san, p-please..." He clasp his hands together once again and placed both on top of Eguchi's chest, pushing it hard and fast. He tilted Eguchi's head back slightly and lifted his chin.
"P-please wake up..." He pinched his nose shut and placed his mouth fully over his and blew some air to make his chest rise. He went back on giving him chest compressions but Eguchi was not responding anymore.
"Stop doing that shit right now." Daiki grabbed Nishiyama's shirt and he punched him so hard in the gut causing him to vomit.
"D-Daiki-san, please stop!" Nishiyama shouted when he felt Daiki's hand on his hair.
"That hurt my ear, you dumbfuck." Daiki pulled him by the hair and dragged him all the way in front of Kiyoomi.
"Hand him a gun." Daiki ordered. One of his men was about to hand his own gun to Kiyoomi but Akari grabbed it and pointed it towards Daiki.
"I-I'll be the one who's going to kill you, Daiki."
"No way in hell you can pull the trigger." Daiki confidently said.
"I can." Akari placed her index finger onto the trigger and said, "And I'm taking my son with me."
His anger is now clearly obvious and it seems that his patience is running thin already.
"Kiyoomi will never leave my side, Akari. That's why..." He pointed his gun to her wife and snapped, "Leave my son alone."
Almost immediately, the room erupted with a gunshot. The white carpet turned red with all the blood gushing out of someone else's body.
It wasn't Mizuho Akari.
It wasn't Sakusa Daiki.
But it was Sakusa Kiyoomi who was accidentally shot by his own father.
Akari couldn't help the flash of anger she felt at the sight of her son lying on the floor and not moving anymore.
"K-Kiyoomi..." Daiki rushed towards him and tapped his son's cheeks to wake him up but his eyes were shut closed. He tried to cover the wound on Kiyoomi's chest using his hands but blood continued to gush out.
"C-call an a-ambulance." He breathed but no one on the room moved. The situation was wholly beyond their grasp. Everyone was shocked of what happened.
"W-wait.. no.. we don't have time..."
Daiki tried to carry his son in his arms but Akari pushed him away from Kiyoomi. "This is all your fault!"
His expression revealed surprise for a brief moment, and then his eyes flashed with anger. "Shut up, you ugly hag! If we don't bring him to the hospital, he'll die!"
He snatched his son away from Akari's embrace and carried his son but one of his men suddenly pushed him away from the door.
"Boss, get down!!!"
Multiple gunshots were fired inside the room causing six of Daiki's men dead on the spot. Someone on the joint room broke the window glass and three men came in.
"Akari-san, we need to get out of here." Masataka said, Akari's personal bodyguard.
"We can't! My son needs help!" Akari shouted as she points to Kiyoomi who was lying on the floor near the door.
"Yamazaki, change of plans." Masataka communicated using his earpiece to his partner. "You need to charge forward and rescue Sakusa Kiyoomi."
"You're abso-fucking-lutely kidding. That's Sakusa Daiki in the flesh so there's no way we can charge forward!" Yamazaki irritatingly answered as he raises his hand to signal his members to get ready for a clash.
"Yamazaki." For a moment, Yamazaki could only hear the exchange of gun fires around him and then a deep voice stated flatly, "It's Akari-san's orders."
"Let's go, Akari-san. Yamazaki can handle everything in here." That was the last thing Yamazaki heard from Masataka as he saw them get out of the joint room where Masataka broke the glass window to escape.
"That fucking loony sadsack." Yamazaki cursed at him.
He called out their sniper who's hiding on the bush using his earpiece and asked, "Suda, you're in position?"
"I've been waiting for a long time but Sakusa sure has good instinct. He's hiding behind the table with two of his bodyguard covering him. He killed seven on our squad all alone."
"If you find an opening, shoot him dead."
Yamazaki walked towards his members and called the team leaders for a quick meeting. "Change of plans. Hammerheads, I need you to charge forward and Deathwish will back you up. Once Sakusa has his hands full, I'll go get his son out of there."
"Will my son be alright, Masataka?" Akari asked as soon as they arrived at the parking lot.
He rested a comforting hand on her shoulder and patted her head to assure her that everything will be fine. "Don't worry, Akari-san. Yamazaki is a great squad leader, he can manage to escape together with your son."
Tears burned her eyes and her lower lip trembled, "But my son... was shot in the chest..."
Masataka took a step back in shock of what Akari said and he couldn't help but think of a lot of possibilities. If he remembers correctly, the last gunshot he heard before they came in to rescue Akari was ten minutes ago.
"I thought.. I can kill Daiki but.. I was too afraid. He was aiming for my head..." She looked down on her dress and tears started coursing down her cheeks as she saw the stains of blood she has. "but Kiyoomi protected me..."
"If he was shot in the chest and the bleeding didn't stop, he'll d...." Masataka clenched his fist tightly to calm his self and not to think negatively.
"Akari-san?" A deep toned voice called out. "It really is you."
A man with a dark olive hair and matching olive colored eyes came out of the shadows.
"Akari-san, are you okay?" The man asked as he walks close to them. "You have blood all over!"
"Stop right there." Masataka warned as he points his gun to him.
"It's me. Sakusa's childhood friend." The man raised both of his arms to show that he won't do anything bad.
"U-Ushijima-kun?" Akari asked as he recalls the man's face who was always around Kiyoomi every time they play at the mansion.
"When people heard all those gun fires, we were all evacuated at the garden but some hurriedly went home because they were all afraid to get invol---"
Ushijima was cut off when Akari pulled his coat, "P-Please help Kiyoomi!"
"E-Eh? W-what happened to him?!"
"You're a doctor?" Ushijima nodded in response to Masataka's question. "He was shot in the chest and we're not sure what is his current situation. Do you perhaps know any hospitals near here?"
"We have one around this area. It's a five minute drive down the district."
"Another fucking five minutes" Masataka cursed in his head.
"I'll contact them so that everything will be ready the moment we arrive there." Ushijima grabbed his phone on his coat and walked away to call everyone in the hospital to prepare the tools that will be the needed for the surgery.
"Masataka!" Yamazaki screamed through his earpiece, he sounded struggling, "I can't believe you gave me a job to rescue a dead person!"
Masataka froze as he heard what Yamazaki told him. "D-don't fuck around, Kento. Sakusa Kiyoomi... is dead?"
