Part 2

Waking up to the sunrise was peaceful, but it also meant that I had barely slept. Groaning as I turned over, my hopes were diminished as the sunlight still shined in my eyes. Getting up, I scratched my head looking around, only now remembering that I was in Japan. I stretched my arms upward before picking up my backpack and changing jackets. I then went down the fire escape, watching people walk past the alleyway.

I had been walking around when I noticed a large crowd. Walking towards it I realized that there were a small number of heroes, with a single large villain in the middle. As I watched the wood hero fight, I couldn't help but smile. The heroes of this world were powerful yes, but diverse, no one like the other. They also each had their own fight style, and I couldn't help but notice how impressive each fight style was. I also noticed that some of the heroes didn't even attempt to fight the villain, and were instead keeping the civilians safe from harm.

Unlike in some dimensions, the heroes here cared for the safety of the land and the people, and kept the villain a priority, but not a high one. I smiled as I watched the wooden hero fight the villain. "Not gonna lie, he's kinda cute, but maybe a bit too dramatic." I said, watching as he called the villain an 'incarnation of evil'.

My smile dropped when I watched a giant woman knock out the villain and take the wooden heroes spotlight. Ok then, never mind about all that 'better than other dimensions' stuff. It seems some people here are still as bad as others. I watched as she got all the credit and the wooden hero could only sit in shock. "Poor guy." I said, before turning and walking away.

School was ending at this time, so I decided to drop by and look around one of the closest schools. I originally planned to look around the school of heroes, but from the look of it there security was tight, and I didn't want to try at that right now. Instead I walked to a high school. The building was tall and look quite nice. Students were walking out of the front doors, none seeming to notice me.

As I looked up to look at the building one more ...-BONK-

Rubbing my head, I looked down to see a freshly burnt notebook on the ground. Looking over the title, I picked it up and flipped to a random page. 'Cute' I thought as I looked at the little notes made about the heroes. I sat down and looked through it for awhile. Surely it was someone's and they'd come to reclaim it, and if not, I would just keep it.

I watched the koi fish swim around in the pond when the sound of foot steps interrupted me. Closing the book, I watched as a dark haired boy sulked my way. Suddenly feeling super socially anxious, I quickly laid it gently on the edge of the man made pond. Before I could get away though, the boy looked up and we locked eyes.

"Um, hi.."I said, giving the boy a small wave. "This is yours isn't it?" I asked as I picked up the notebook and handed it to him. I heard him mumble something about "fish food" before taking it from my outstretched hand. When I went to walk away I heard him angrily mumble something along the lines of "Stupid Jerk". I shrugged before walking off, deciding to go back to wondering the streets.

~Time Skip (Sorry bout all these but time wise, the anime is all over the place)~

The sound of explosions and yells echoed through the street. "Another hero fight? Wow, how often do these guys fight?" I say as I walk towards the commotion. When I got there I was surprised to see the dark haired boy clawing at a slime monster that had wrapped itself around a blond guy.

"People here have powers don't they? Why isn't he using his?" I ask silently as I push through the crowd and get closer. 'Could it be possible, he doesn't have one?' I think as I quickly reach into my bag and pull my mask on amidst the chaos.

Breaking through the crowd with a leap, I landed next to the kid. He jumped, his face showing how surprised he was by my action. Quickly pulling a random power, I smiled triumphantly when a beam of energy hit the villain. Powering up multiple beams at once, they started at little dots of light surrounding me. Once powered up, they all burst out into beams of bright red and blue light that hit at the slime, burning the edges of the slime that held the blond boy. The beams burnt away at some slime while the wind from their speed made the slime flow back. He was still stuck, but he had loosened considerably and wasn't attached to the large amount of slime that was the main body. The dark hair boy looked at me as the slime monster yelled at me angrily. I nodded to the boy before going back to dodging slime and blasting beams.

The slime monster seemed to get even more angry and swiped his hand down at the street. I couldn't dodge and could only raise a soul shield in hopes of protecting the boys. The dust that swirled around in my vision kept me from seeing anything, but I wasn't in any harm and neither were the boys. As the smoke cleared, a large muscular man stood there, fist in slime, keeping it from hurting anyone. The man talked to the dark haired boy.

He was quite dramatic, and seemed to be coughing up blood. He kept telling him about Pros and Hero stuff. I learned his name when the slime monster yelled out a, "Damn you All Might!" before trying to attack. To my surprise, All Might yelled out "Detroit Smash!" and proceeded to punch the slime monster. His punch held so much power that the slime was blown away, and the heroes had to hold onto civilians.

Seconds later, as I slowly let down my shield over the boys and All Might sat there, it started to rain. The civilians were in astonishment. I guess it's not everyday that a hero changes the weather around here. Both of the boys were unconscious, from the slime or the wind, I couldn't tell.

All Might proceeded to stand up and smile at everyone. People started to cheer for him. Ignoring my surroundings, I went to bend down and check the boys for harm when a hand laid on my shoulder. I looked back to see All Might. I squinted my eyes at him before side stepping out of his way, and out of his grip. I stood there for a bit, feeling protective of the two boys knocked out on the ground. I was about to leave when I noticed blood dripping from All Might's mouth. He protected the kids, so I guess I owe him. I quickly went into my inventory and picked up the towel I had brought with me. It had my initials but otherwise it was fine.

Handing him the towel, he seemed confused. I pointed my finger at where my mouth would be if I hadn't been wearing my mask. He seemed to understand and wiped at the blood. I picked up the boys notebook and laid it on his chest, covering it with his jacket so it wouldn't get further damaged. When the sound of police sirens were heard coming down the street, I quickly left, ignoring how the other heroes seemed to call me over to where they were resting and healing.

Watching from a close by roof top, I watched as the police rounded up the sludge, and All Might seemed to look around for something. He stopped looking after awhile and instead looked at the towel I had handed him. "There goes my favorite towel. There's no way for me to get it back now." I groaned, rubbing my hands over my mask. I could only let out a tired chuckle as I watched the wooden hero and the strong hero scold the dark haired boy.

Turning back, I took off my mask and put it away before going down to walk the streets.

I had decided to visit the dark haired boy. He seemed to have been going through a lot and I just wanted to make sure he was ok, especially after I realized how suicidal the whole 'running in to help' thing that he did was. When I got to the street where I had saw the boy turn to, I put my mask on. It was kinda hard to talk in it, but it had a speaker that warped my voice. I didn't feel like facing my social anxiety today to be honest.

When I turned down the street, I saw him talking to a skinny blond dude. I was originally going to wait for the conversation when the blond guy noticed me. He handed something to the boy before pointing me out behind them. The boy turned and smiled at me, his eyes looking puffy like he had been crying. He waved me over while the blond dude told him something.

"Hey! Your the hero who kept me, kacchan, and my journal, safe aren't you?" He asked. I nodded before looking in surprise at the towel he was holding. "All Might said to give this back to you. Hey can I ask you a question?" He said, though it almost seemed like he talked a mile a minute. Taking the towel from him, I nodded again. His smile seemed to grow.

"Why do you wear a mask? What's the name of your quirk? Are you new, I've never seen you around before? How many of those beams can you make at a time? Do they come in different colors, or with different abilities? How far can the beams go?" He asked question after question, a pen at ready on a page of his notebook. I chuckled and was surprised when I heard the speaker make my chuckle loud enough to hear, of course, not without some radio feedback.

Deciding that I trusted the kid, and didn't really feel any which way about the guy he was standing with, I pulled my mask up a bit, only showing my mouth, and smiled at him.

"Nice to meet you dude. I'm the same kid who handed you your notebook earlier today. I just wanted to stop by and see if your okay." I said, dropping my towel into my bag. "Oh right! My name's Izuku Midoriya! It's nice to meet you." he said, holding out his hand for a hand shake. I shaked his hand before looking down at the page he had started to write in. "I don't really have a hero name or anything." I say, watching as he looks up surprised. "What should I call you then?" he asked.

I shrug, "Something cool. Hero names are usually cool right?". He nods before thinking a bit. I look over his shoulder to look at the blond guy, who seems to be chuckling at Midoriya's enthusiasm. "Your quirk has something to do with lazer beams right?" He ask. I look down at my hands thinking for a bit. "Nah, that was a one time thing. I didn't like the power that much." I say, turning my hands over and staring at the little burnt in dots on them, identical to the dots that I had summoned earlier. He looks up surprised. "One time thing? Can you copy quirks?" He asks, erasing at something in his notebook. "Nope, can't copy quirks." I say bluntly.

"Keep this a secret k?" I say before opening my palm upwards and showing the menu select screen. Reaching forward, I go through my inventory and my power selection, letting him quickly glimpse at the powers I had saved as favorites. "That's so cool! What type of quirk is that!?" He asked, looking on in astonishment. "I'm just not from around here. Where I'm from, my friends just call it a glitch." I shrug, giving him a wink before looking up at the sky.

"It's getting dark and you should get home. We can continue this conversation some other time." I say, pointing out the setting sun. Before he can respond, I vanish away, reappearing on the road of a random street. Lucky for me, not may people were around.

Looking around for a bit, I finally found a rooftop to stay at and set up camp there. Looking at my hands I rub them over my face. "He must be the anime protagonist, otherwise, why would I have trusted him so easily. Shoot, you gotta be more careful. Can't just go outing yourself to everyone. Freaking Anime Protagonist Powers." I say, before letting out a small laugh. Falling back, I fall asleep on top of my backpack.
