Extra 1

The soft blowing of the wind helps Cyrus ground himself. Shifting in the cottage had always been hard, but Crecylla did what she could to help him out. So when she had built him a nest, he was more than grateful. His fire had softened around her, and she was actually able to ride him.

Crecylla knows he's about to shift, so she gives him space to be comfortable. She can feel the heat radiating from their cottage, and she continues working on the field while he moves in his nest. He finds that shifting with Crecylla around had gotten easier, and since his fire was a healing fire now, he could sit on Crecylla as she worked.

It was strange, once he finished shifting, he would always find himself sitting on Crecylla's head. It was comfortable, and whenever that pesky farmer boy got too close to her, he just hissed at him. He almost felt like a guard dog. He didn't mind being with her though, they were lovers, and they were married. It didn't hurt to mark her.

Crecylla spots the farmer boy from a mile away and when Cyrus, or Ignes as he's called when shifted, sits himself on her head, she relaxes a little. He had a knack for marking what was his, and if the hickeys all over her chest and neck weren't a sign of that, then he didn't know what was.

The boy doesn't know they're dating. He visits once a month, and it's always when Cyrus shifts. She's mentioned having a lover that she shares the cottage with, but the boy thinks that she's lying. He's tried so many times to court her, but she's always turned him down.

He's set on pestering her until she agrees, and when he arrives with new flowers today, he's slightly irritated to see that her bird is with her. He's slightly discouraged, but he decides to hand her the flowers anyways. He's sure she'll accept him one day, that's what his brother had taught him at least. He's attractive, and he knows that he could have any girl he wanted. So why was this girl so stubborn?

Crecylla turns him down as usual, and the hickeys on her neck shine through her work outfit. The boy visibly flinches, but he continues pestering her for courtship. She shakes her head no, and Ignés screeches at him. She makes no move to stop the bird, but the boy keeps pestering her. He asks her how her day had been, and how she was feeling at the moment. He questions if she liked her current life, and if she wanted to join him in his mansion.

Cyrus is pissed, and if it weren't for the fact that he was a Phoenix right now, he probably would've yanked Crecylla out of the situation. He settles for glaring at the boy. His shifting period was shorter now that it was winter, and he had just the plan to scare the poor boy off. Though he would have to fly off first.

The boy thinks his time had come when the bird flew away. He tries to talk to the girl, and her responses are short. He thinks he's getting somewhere, and he asks her what she looks for in a guy. Her response is lengthy. She describes Cyrus, and she doesn't really notice that she's blabbering on. He tells her that he's exactly that type of guy, that he'd be willing to change if it meant being able to date her. Crecylla grimaces.

Crecylla does not want to be dealing with this right now. The boy is cute, he has the regular emerald eyes and chestnut hair of floral empire citizen, and he doesn't look bad. Though she definitely wouldn't have dated him either way, she doesn't deny that the boy is cute. She tries to tell him that she had a husband, and that he was just out often, but the boy doesn't listen. He talks to her about everything, and he doesn't stop even when she feels that it's too much.

He's sure that he's getting to her. She was talking to him! It meant she was invested, and he wanted to bring home a girl just as captivating as his brother's girlfriend. He needed her to date him, even if it meant kidnapping her. But he knows that's no way to treat a girl, and he knows he's bad a reading body language. So when he notices that the girl had stopped talking, he decides to talk more. Maybe she liked listening to people talk, and maybe she just felt thirsty.

When Cyrus finishes shifting back that evening, he wanders home to find Crecylla still dealing with the boy. He walks in, and he greets her with a soft 'hi princess'. She smiles and welcomes him home. He greets her with a kiss to the lips, and he questions who the boy is. The boy flushes red, and he runs off. The boy felt so embarrassed for thinking that the girl was actually lying about having a husband. Not to mention that her husband was more attractive than he. Cyrus smirks triumphantly. And he snickers softly, feeling bad for the poor boy.

Crecylla lets out a soft laugh when he leaves. He most certainly wouldn't wouldn't be bothering her anymore. Cyrus kisses her softly on the lips, and he mumbles something about how he was going to ruin her tonight. Crecylla freezes and bonks him softly in the head. No horny. It was harvest season, and they needed to harvest their food. Cyrus laughs.

He rolls up his sleeves, and he gets to work. He helps her out with cooking so that she could do the lighter jobs around the house. She didn't need the help, but he wanted to make sure she didn't have too much stress on her body. He wanted to start a family with her, and he was sure that she did too. They just didn't have the time to spend time together before being exhausted from the field. He hopes that they'd have the time one day.
