Diana continued on practiing for hours on end never stopping.
"You should probably eat something atleast or have a drink you've been out here all day," Alex commented after awhile of just standing by and watching.
"I'm good, thanks," she replied without stopping.
"You need to eat," he continued to try and persuade her "you'll get ill otherwise."
"I'll be fine I'll eat later," Diana continued to practice her techniques while she replied to his worries trying to appease him.
"Your not going to take a break to get something to eat, are you?" he asked giving up trying to persuade het otherwise.
"Nope," she just simply answered.
"Fine, take this." He said before grabbing a ruby red apple which glittered in the moonlight and threw it to her, she quickly tossed her swords into the air and they landed securely in their sheaths as she grabbed the apple in her left hand before it got anywhere near the grassy ground.
"Thanks," she said as she took a bite of the apple and it made a satisfying "crunch," as she bit into it and it's juicy and sweet flavour filled her mouth.
"I thought you probably wouldn't want to go inside and eat so I grabbed an apple for you instead," he explained as he pulled out another glossy red apple and took a bite.
"I've never had such a delicious apple," Diana commented as sge remembered reading that because of where Fortis is located it has the best and most nutritious apples in the three kingdoms people pay fortunes to try them or they did until this war broke out.
"I'm glad you like them," Alex said with a sweet smile as he took another bite and Diana followed soon after taking another bite of her apple as he walked over to her and a small genuine smile appeared on her lips.
The first genuine smile she's smiled in probably nine years.
It was only a fleeting smile soon chased away but it didn't escape Alex's notice amd his smile just broadened slightly as he walked over and joined Diana.
"It's a beautiful night," she said through bites looking up at the stary night sky with the crsent moon lighting it never dwindling even when surrounded by so much darkness.
"Yeah it is," Alex said as he to looked up at the mesmorizing night sky looking at the open sky made Diana feel free she didn't even notice as Alex' ruby red eyes shifted to her for just a brief few seconds.
"Want a spar?" he offered after they finished eating our apples.
"Sure," Diana agreed as she pulled out her sword which was hanging on the left side of her belt gripping at the handle firmly and taking up a fighting stance Alex did the same across from her.
They started their spar almost instantly moving faster then the eye can see blocking and attacking each other with equal measure.
"Diana who taught you to fight?" Alex asked during their spar.
"That's random," Diana pointed out.
"That's true," he admitted.
"Why do you want to know?" she asked curious as to why Alex wanted to know.
"I'm just curious, for someone who was forbidden to become a knight by her parents your incredibly well versed in combat and battle." He explained.
"Well no one really taught me, I just spied on the knights and generals as they trained and taught myself then Beatrix taught me. She's a knight who serves my family back in Malum. She taught me even though she wasn't suppose to however I quickly surperssed her. I also used books to help me learn there's actually a lot of varse knowledge related to battle strategy and techniques of fallen heroes and lots off information on fighting styles and weapons in general," Diana explained to him after all this information won't help anyone or give any clues to her true identity so there's no harm in telling him the truth.
"So your more or less self taught?" he asked in astonishment as their blades crashed together one blow after the next.
"Pretty much," Diana answered nonchalantly.
"That's incredible I've met many people who have been taught since they could walk to fight and aren't as good as you," Alex complimented as their blades continued to clash more furociously.
"Thank you for the high praise," Diana thanked him with complete sinserity.
They continued to spar well into the night until the moon was at its peak and it was coming up to midnight before Alex headed off to bed telling Diana to go and get some rest soon as to not over exert herself.
'But if I sleep those dreams will haunt them again causing me to have a restless sleep.' Diana thought 'That's why I haven't slept the last few days but I still can't figure out who those people are and it's becoming even more frustrating.'
Diana continued to practice until the sun rose and filled the Kingdom with a soothing walmth and and quickly headed inside to change clothes and have a wash as she's covered in sweat.
The morning light sets a warming crimson glow over everything it touches and the melody of the birds is truly magical Diana thought as she heads to her room. A soft breezing blowing through her hair and blowing the leaves in near by trees adding to nature's song. The most beautiful song of all is the one of the world telling stories as old as time.
Diana's never heard a more beautiful melody in all her days, you just have to listen closely enough to here it.
After Diana reached her room she quickly grabbed a change of clothes and had a walm bath before getting dressed into a loose violet top, ebony trousers and chestnut knee high boots. As well as her two dual blades which were attached to her belt and wore her long silver hair in a high ponytail. Diana also slid a dagger into the insides of each of her boots incase she needs them. This became a habbit of hers, to always have a hidden weapon with her at all times.
