Scum (1)

Back at the palace Alex is sat behind an oak desk reading through a report from one of the scouting parties when he looked up at the clock and realised the time.

"I wonder where she could be it's getting rather late," he muttered.

"Don't worry, she probably got held up by Esme or something," Kylo assured as he put back a book.

"Or she could be on her way back," Hunter added as he lounged on a chair just infant of Alex's desk.

Meanwhile in a dark alleyway Diana's moving silently thought the night closer and closer to the voices. Diana stopped just out of sight hidden by the shadows that the moon casts down over the buildings that line the alleyway.

Just in front of her are two girls, one around twenty seven and the other around six they both have the same ginger hair with emerald eyes. Tears stream down their faces as they plead with the six muscular men to leave them alone.

"Give us your money," one goon snorted his sword raised at the two helpless women.

"Yeah," another dispicable man sneered as he too raised his sword, the others drawing their weapons soon after just so that they can look intimidating. The women and child continued to cry huddled close together, with the mother trying to protect her little girl.

'The actions of these discusting men are dispicable how dare they treat people like this. These must be the type of scum Alex warned me about and they don't deserve to live. Their the sort of scum the world would be better of without and I won't stand by while they continued to terarise people.' Diana thought as she seethes silently in anger.

"Well, where's the money?" one of the men said growing impatient, he has shoulder length oak hair which is tied in a scruffy ponytail.

"P-please," the women stamered "l-leave us alone," she pleaded desperately.

The hanouse men just laughed at her mockingly.

"Mummy...I'm scared," the little girl said weakly as she huddles closer to her mother.

'I won't let them get away with this any longer,' Diana thought to herself as she leaves the shadows.

"Hey boys, look." One of the men said, pointing his sword towards Diana "There's another lady who wants to join in on our fun," he said before the men all started laughing.

"Come on little lady," said the man incharge of these five huligans "Why don't you join us?" he asked as he ushered Diana over to them.

Diana completely blanked him, her expression void of any emotion as she pproachs the two women who are cowering from the men in fear.

"Did they hurt you?" Diana asked, turning her back on the scum.

"N-no," the women said holding her child closer to her chest.

"Good, why don't you go home now? I'll handle these barbarians for you, take your daughter somewhere safe," Diana instructed her.

"Alright t-then, thank you m-miss." She said graciously before standing up and running out of the alleyway her daughter wrapped tightly in her arms. Some men tried to pursue them but Diana quickly drew her sword blocking their path, they quickly throw their swords up to defend from her on slaughter of attacks.

"Who the hell are you?" one man roared in rage.

"I'm a nobody," Diana said blankly and she could see them tremble in fear at her lack of emotion.

Diana quickly began attacking them and they stumble to parry or block in time gaining deep gashes all over their bodies.

"Quickly go get the boss," one man yelled to the one farthest from Diana and they quickly began to flee.

"Where do you think your going?" Diana asked before jumping over the group and slicing the man's head straight of. Blood polsated out and covered her clothing and face but she just ignored it only focusing on the opponents at hand.

As she turns around and continue to assault them, it's visable to Diana how fearful they are. The fear in their eyes shining brighter then before as she attacks.

"Don't worry," Diana said her tone venamous "I'll reunite you soon."

Her words sending shivers down their spines as they look at her petrified. Diana charged at them relentlessly attacking, although she may despise people like them she's not so much of a monster that she'd torcher them and draw out their deaths for any longer then they need to be.

"Ahhhhhhhh...." one goon screamed as she slashes them across their torso, blood pulsating out the wound as they fall lifeless to the ground.

"W-who are you?" another one of them asked as they block Dianas attacks giving one of their comrades enough time to get away and warn their 'boss' who ever that is.

"I wonder, are you worthy to know my name?" Diana asked indifferently as she took advantage of an opening stabbing them in the stomach and pulling out her sword.

There's only one more man in this alley now and he'll join his comrades in hell.

"Y-you monster!" the man roared as he lunged at Diana, she quickly dodged his blade before it pierced clean through her head.

"Attacking in rage clouds your judgment," Diana pointed out slightly amused with these pathetic attempts at attacking her.

"Shut up!!!" He roared as he attacked Diana again aiming for her torso but she quickly blocked it before stabbing him in his chest.

"Y-your a...mon-monster," he said barely an audible whisper as he breathed his last.

"You might be right," Diana agreed with his accusation as she pulls out her blade scanning the area "hmmmm...as I thought only five one did get away," Diana sighed in frustration "how annoying. Now I have to go and hunt them down as well as this 'boss' of theirs and get someone to clean up this mess. Not to mention I'll probably have to endure a hall lecture from Alex about being late or about how I made them all worry. Seriously how fustrateing."

Luckily there are guards around the town because of the war and proximity to the palace.

The two guards Diana found look stunned at her appearance after all she's covered in blood she can't blame them for looking so surprised.

"A-are you okay miss?" the man with lumine yellow hair snapped out of his daze first and that brought his comrade with oak brown hair out of his daze.

"Of course I'm alright," Diana said already annoyed that there wasting so much time on the fact that she's drenched in blood.

"Why are you covered in blood?" the brown haired man asked.

"I ran into some scum down an alleyway about five minutes north and they got out of hand," Diana answered nonchalant "I'd appreciate it if you could take care of that while I find the one that got away, as well as their boss."

"Shouldn't you get reinforcements?" the blonde hair man asked.

"That's too much of a hassle, besides I can defeat them without any backup," Diana replied as she scans the area she can tell it's getting late as no one's really about.

"Who are you miss?" the oak haired man asked.

"Just a knight," Diana answered nonchalantly as she starts walking off searching for that scum and their boss. "Oh and before I forgot," she quickly turnt around to face them "if you see prince Alexander tell him not to worry and I'll be back at the palace before midnight."

They both look dumbfounded as she walks away looking for that scum and his boss.

"Can we trust her?" the oak haired man asked.

"I think she's that knight who hangs around with the crown prince, other knights are calling her the knight Sol, we better do what she asks," his golden haired companion replied.

'Now where are you?' Diana wondered as she walks down the winding pathways luckily it only takes ten minutes to find them and it looks like he brought thirty others with him. 'Oh well, he'll need more than that to defeat me.'
