Alex and Diana spared until Queen Valeria came out and called them for breakfast before they left to go and meet the other four.
"Where are you going?" Alex asked as Diana headed for the stables.
"To go and saddle Luna of course," she answered as she turned around to look at him questionably.
"Don't worry it's not too far a walk from here besides it will be nice to take in the scenery," he said smiling warmly as he beckoned her to follow as he began walking into the forest.
"Alright," Diana sighed as she followed him into the forest but Alex isn't wrong you appreciate the scenery far more when you take your time walking instead of riding like lightning through the trees.
"It's beautiful here," Diana couldn't help but mention as they walked through the path formed by the parting of the towering trees. The last blossoms' falling from the branches of the trees surrounding them.
"Yeah, it is," Alex agreed as his gaze shifted to Diana as they walked through the forest a a smile was evident on Alex's lips as Duana marvels at the beauty of the magnificent forest.
"I love being outside it's a shame I was locked up in my families home, luckily I could go out but only as far as our family owns and I was always escorted," she explained with a sigh remembering her life back in Malum.
Alex looked at her as sorrow entered his eyes as Diana opened up to him a little about her life back in Malum "That must have been awful,"
"It was," she admited before looking at Alex and smiling "but I left that behind and now I'm free."
"That's true, I'm glad you left that behind and I'm glad you can finally be free," he said with a sincere smile.
"Yeah me too," she agreed as they walk along after awhile Alex stopped causing Diana to come to a halt as well.
"Here," he said smiling warmly as he placed a pale pink blossom un her hair "it suits you," he explained smile broadening as he started walking.
"Thank you," Diana said after a moment her voice quieter then usual, as the layers around her heart were slightly cracked again slowly releasing her encased heart from inside.
Alex just smiled warmly as they continued walking and talking about random things.
"What took you so long?" Kylo moaned as Alex and Diana arrived at their destination which is a clearing in the forest which seems more like a small meadow, filled with all sorts of flowers.
"Ignore him," Maddy explained as she and Crystal jumped at Diana engulfing her in a tight embrace and almost causing her to fall over "we missed you,"
"Yeah," Crystal agreed and started to join in with Maddy's whining.
"Sorry I've been busy," Diana said trying to appease their whining.
"Your right," Crystal agreed looking up "it's Alex' fault for keeping you so busy," she declared as she and Maddy let go of Diana turning venomous glares on Alex.
"How's it my fault?!" Alex asked as he went and joined the other boys sitting down on the floor.
"Well, you're the one who sees her the most," Crystal replied.
"Yeah because she lives at the palace," Alex argued back
"But you're still keeping her all to yourself," Maddy continued adding to Crystal's protest as Duana just sat down with the boys. "Like yesterday we came to train with you both and she wasn't there."
"How's that my fault?" Alex asked with a raised eyebrow "She chose to go and see her friend and then was late back because of those barbarians," he pointed out.
"What barbarians?" Crystal asked cutting off any further protest as they joined the others sitting down on the floor surrounded by magnificent flowers.
"Oh, I ran into some last night they were harassing a little girl and her mother so I dealt with them but then one got away and brought his boss along so I dealt with them as well," Diana explained to everyone.
"Really?" Crystal asked in shock.
"Of course," Diana answered nonchalantly.
"How many men were there?" Hunter asked curiously.
"Around thirty-six," she answered leaning back on her hands.
"Thirty-six!" Maddy echoed.
"Yes," Diana answered as a gentle breeze blew by.
Maddy was about to continue before Kylo stopped her "Leave it be Maddy,"
"Fine," she agreed with a huff.
"How have you two been?" Kylo asked, "We haven't seen you in a while, anything interesting happened?"
"Not really," Alex answered looking up at the sky.
"Did you hear about that battle up north?" Hunter asked.
"Yeah, that was apparently a really tuff battle from what I heard," Crystal answered, "we barely won that fight."
"There were quite a few serious injuries on both sides they just got back two days ago," Kylo added.
"What do you know about it?" Kylo asked Alex.
"Not much apparently they fought from sunset to late in the evening the next day it was a hard fight for both sides," Alex answered as he leaned back on his hands.
"Hey, Maddy," Crystal said.
"Yeah?" Maddy asked turning to face crystal
"Is it true that Lord Jonathon's son William proposed to you?" she asked curiously.
A look of shock and jealously passed through Kylos eyes even though his expression didn't change unless you look closely you can see him trying to keep the irritation off his face. After hearing that William proposed to Maddy a look of irritation was palpable on his face before he scolded it and regained his composure.
"Yeah he did," she answered.
"What did you say?" Crystal asked.
"I turned him down gently," Maddy answered her eyes slightly shifted to Kylo and a look of admiration in her eyes before quickly darting back to Crystal before anyone could notice. However, not quick enough.
"Why?" Crystal asked causing Maddy to blush "Why are you blushing?" her question just caused Maddy to blush even more and Diana couldn't help but chuckle.
As they were sitting around chatting they heard explosions coming from the same direction as the palace and the towns surrounding it's vicinity.
"What's happening?" Crystal asked looking back at the direction of the palace.
"There's something wrong," Diana said looking in the same direction before getting to her feet and running towards the palace as the others ran after her. As they got closer they heard more explosions and the sounds of battle.
"We should have brought our horses," Crystal commented.
"Yeah, your right," Maddy agreed as they picked up the pace.
"Well, we didn't so let's get moving," Diana said interrupting their chatting.
