Deep in the woods of Casus where blossoms bloom covering the trees and flowers decorate the lush, mint grass. Birds flying from one tree to another as they sing gorgeous melodies. Down by the shimmering lake which dances in the summers sun light, stands a silver haired girl, her hair swimming in the breeze as she waits.

Her sleeveless mint top laced at the back and her burgundy boots reaching her knee. Even now when the four kingdoms are at peace her dual blades hang at either hip.

She payed no heed as a pearl white horse gallops towards her, its ruby eyed rider leaping out the saddle and sneaking up behind her. His raven black hair ruffled from the ride, but his gold crown still placed atop his head, jewels gleaming in the sun.

"Did you miss me?" he asked wrapping his arms around her and twirling her around in the air.

"Alex!" she laughed reaching up to hold her golden tiara in place. He set her down with a laugh turning her around in his arms so they were facing one another.

"So did you?" he asked his grey v-neck top loosely fluttering in the wind.

"Of course I did," she replied wrapping her arms around his neck. 'When was the last time I saw you?"

"A month or two ago," Alex replied with a sigh "you'd think we'd be able to escape more often."

"Yeah but atleast we're here now," she replied her ocean blue eyes twinkling as she placed a soft kiss onto his lips.

He hummed in amusement "What was that for?"

"Do I need a reason?" she giggled in reply flicking at his nose.

"Who would of thought, the great Diana could laugh." His comment was met with a slap on the chest as Diana wriggled from his arms.

"Its beautiful here," she mused twirling around by the waters edge.

"Wgats got you in such a good mood?" Alex replied following her around the lake an eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"I visited the town before coming here and it was so lively, apparently they're getting ready for a festival tonight. Have you ever heard of Dies Amoris?"

"I can't say I have," he replied after a moment of thought.

"Its known as 'The Day Of Love' and everyone seemed so excited, little kids were running around throwing rose petals and giving cards to the ones they love."

"I never took you for the romantic type."

"I'm not," she huffed, returning to her normal stoic demeanor "I just thought it seemed like fun and besides it's not something that happens everyday. I do think it's silly though, why dedicate one day to telling someone you love them? I mean you can tell them whenever you want to."

Alex chuckled at her reply grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the horses "You have a point but if we don't leave soon we'll be late."

Without another word they mounted their horses and galloped through the forests. "Why are you wearing you crown?"

"I had to do a speech for Die Corda it's like your day of hearts, and what's your excuse?" Akex chuckled as they weaved between trees, and dodged low hanging branches.

"Same, as you." Diana sighed as they crossed Fortis Kingdoms borders "Are the others coming?"

"We invited them but you know that Liam can't hes been swamped since he took the crown but atleast shes there to help him."

"Fair enough," Diana replied as they slowed to a trot. As they entered the town the crowds parted and cheered. "I didn't think we'd draw so much attention." She sighed as everyone watched them trot through the cobblestoned streets.

They made it through the bustling town and through the luscious forest before arriving at the palaces steps.

"Diana!!" A gold haired girl yelled, running down the palace steps her golden tiara balanced on her head as her aqua blue dress flows around her.

"Careful Emma," Diana chided jumping of Luna "you don't want to hurt yourself."

"But I missed you," she beamed jumping up and wrapping her arms around Diana's neck "It's been forever since you came here."

"I know," she replied, spinning Emma around in the air "you've gotten so big."

"Where's my hello?" Alex pouted as he handed the horses over to a nearby servant before walking over to them and planting a kiss on Emmas head. "You sill wearing that silly thing?"

"Your still wearing yours" Emma replied sticking out her tongue "Mum and Dad wanted to come and meet you but they got pulled into some meeting."

"That's alright I know they're very busy,"

"Are you staying for long?" Emma asked her eyes twinkling with hope. Alex had been wanting to ask her for awhile but hadn't found the right moment to ask her.

"I'm not sure, it depends on how late it gets,"

"Oh, alright." Emma replied slightly deflated

"Don't be sad, I'm here now." she replied carrying Emma into the palace, Alex close behind as they all chatted "speaking of, are the others here?"

"Not yet, but I'm not sure if they're coming," Emma sighed "we all know how busy they've been."

"Not busy enough to miss seeing Diana," a voice spoke from behind them jumping on Dianas back.

"Crystal, I told you not to jump on her back, you'll knock her over," Kylo chastised joining Alex as Crystal let go off Diana.

"But I never get to see either of them anymore,"

"She has a point," Hunter agreed as he hung his arm around Alex' shoulder, Maddy falling in step beside Diana "Please don't encourage her," Maddy replied.

"I see you all made it," Alex smiled as they all chatted filling the corridor with laughter. As they walked into the dinning room they were greeted with hugs from the king and queen.

"It's been too long," Queen Valeria beamed as she hugged each of them in turn "I'm glad you could all make it, it's a shame she and Liam couldn't join us."

"I'm sure we'll see them both soon, I went to visit them recently and it seems they're fixing up his kingdom rather well." Diana assured them.

"That's good to hear," King Brian beamed.

"You went to go see them instead of us?" Emma pouted as everyone else giggled taking their place at the table.

"It was on my way back from visiting all of you," she explained setting Emma down in her seat before taking up her own.

"How is everyone? It's been far to long since we saw you all," Queen Valeria smiled as she ate her meal.

"Well, I've been overseeing the western boarder, the las t couple of months and it's been quiet enough," Maddy explained sipping on her mint coloured drink.

"What about you, Diana?" Kylo asked

"Yeah, have your sword skills gotten soft?" Hunter teased

"Why don't you test that theory for yourself?" Alex challenged with a wisp of smile playing on his lips.

"I think they'd rather not," Crystal and Maddy giggled at Emma's statement.

The evening was full of kisses and laughs, not to mention a few dances under the moonlit sky surrounded by blossoming flowers. Stars filled the sky as fireflies fluttered by, swirling around them like ribbons of light.

Soon it grew late and everyone disappeared into the confines of their rooms, everyone except two people who finally seemed at peace.

"Are you staying the night?" Alex asked the silver haired knight who's head is wresting upon his knees.

"I might as well, my parents are overly fussy about me riding back in the dark, it's such a pain." But even as she said this a smile was twitching at the corners of her lips.

"Oh yes, what a pain it must be to have parents who actually care about you," he sighed dramatically as he wiped a peace of hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear. "That tiara suits you."

"Oh really?" Diana challenged a playful smile plastered across her lips.

"Yes really,"

"How do I know you're not teasing me?"

"Let me prove it then," at that moment a cheshire like smile came across his lips as he lent down and kissed Diana. A kiss full of promise and love, a kiss promising his love. "I love you"

"I love you to," Diana replied before their lips found each others again.
